This video is so well thought out, but yet it’s sad it’s barely a small part of what she went through during her career.. it definitely shows how strong she is, and how harsh the industry is. But most importantly, it shows her humbleness. She’s my ultimate kpop idol not only because she’s talented and funny, but also because she’s one of the most, if not, the most down-to-earth person in kpop. To me, for an idol, ethics should come first following talent. Taeyeon’s got both.
I know, there’s so much she’s done, this was barely a snapshot. But she’s so humble and down to earth that so many people don’t have any idea just HOW MUCH she’s done and been through. She’s a pretty good bias to have because of that though. 💖

i never considered the nostalgia factor, which is weird since i've stanned snsd since 2007. i guess because it felt like taeyeon was always someone i listened to, it didn't click, but it's so true. she defines kpop in a lot of ways and will be that one person people will think about and try to emulate as time passes.
I love that! She honestly embodies nostalgia for Gen2 Kpop especially because she's still so active (INVU just won the Quadruple Crown.) Hearing her voice is not only ear-pleasing because it's beautiful, but it keeps the magic of SNSD alive while we wait for a full comeback. :)

King Taeyeon is such an incredible role model to those who suffer from bullying, depression and mental torment. She openly talked about her depression even when she knew she'd get a huge amount of hate for it, was brave enough to not smile when she didn't feel like it, and even broke down on live stages. By breaking stereotypes, in a world where only unrealistic perfectionism is rewarded, she fought for her friends who had already lost their battle. She made people feel seen.
17 years and still on the top of Korea music industry is really remarkable. I want to find 2014 Taeyeon, give her a great big hug and let her know that everything will turn out just fine. I need to elaborate on the one thing. In 2008, South Korea suffered a near total economic collapse that devastated the country. 12% of the economic growth that occurred the following year was attributed to the success of SNSD's "Gee." That song made people go out and spend money again. It was so popular at the time that SM had to put out a public statement asking people not to steal the promotional posters for it. It's not a stratch to say that those 9 girls helped save Korea.
Taeyeon had the shortest training period yet she is the most well-rounded member in Girls'Generation. She can sing, dance, modelling and MCing well. She is just talented. That's all.
@@hmongguyful IU will always be the biggest soloist. Taeyeon comes second, which is still good! IU is immensely popular due to her acting career and she has always been a soloist. IIRC, she's been in acting ever since she was young too.

She's got a good public recognition and her songs receive almost the same hype as iu's when it's released. But it's important to note that she's the best selling korean female artist today. I don't think we can compare both tho cause Taeyeon came from Girls' Generation where she built her career and also made her name as a soloist 2015 onwards. Basically IU is TY's senior as a soloist but as an overall artist Taeyeon has a more diverse experience since she's worked as a girlgroup and a soloist too.

@@hmongguyful Yes and no. they are both popular and known by the gp for years, just IU has longer solo career of 14 years and established herself in comparison to Taeyeon 6 years. that's like saying only Britney is famous and Taylor is less just because she has shorter career, which isn't true of course. also outside of Korea (besides China and Indonesia maybe) Taeyeon has more fans, her songs and album charts way better from Australia or France to the Billboard. she was a million seller within 5 years while it took IU 13 years to do that. Also Taeyeon Asia concerts are bigger. btw she's the first and only female soloist ever to win the GDA popularity award. So we all know IU is famous in Korea but she also had her bad years, but it's only since her drama blew up in China and the Suga collab that she started peaking again. Come on, now. I wouldn't say she was the one that made snsd popular. Yoona once acted as Saebyuk in You Are My Destiny and the rating of that drama was really high. I would say that contributed to snsd's relevance as well. But I don't see Yoona's fans taking the credits anywhere. Let's be honest here, the biggest contribution to snsd's fame is Gee. Not just one individual member.
If you were to ask Taeyeon that question, she would say YoonA or the group as a whole. She has mentioned how she is appreciative of YoonA's efforts and acting because it attracted people to the group at the start of their career. And members are popular to specific backgrounds. Taeyeon may be the most popular member now, but I disagree that she made SNSD popular as a whole. The group are legends for a reason.
@@animecookies8784 I have to agree with this one. When SNSD was just starting, Yoona unnie was very popular due to her drama. I think she contributed a lot to the older generation's side because her drama was a family drama at that time. Taengoo unnie also just started to sing OST as well as Sunny unnie. Back in 2009, Yuri unnie (1st ever viral fancam) was very popular both in the Army due to their song Genie and Invincible youth (w/ Sunny). She and Soo unnie are usually at Strong Heart or Running man. Then they had to halt everything for Japan showcase. I think each member did help to make the group popular, but we can say that Taeng unnie, since she's a vocalist/soloist is more prominent in the kpop world. She's also spectacular soloist at the same time very charming. And she's still very active in the kpop world in the time that fans lean towards social media more while the rest of the members are doing acting, hosting, and variety. Hyo unnie is pretty popular these past two years, too.
There are vocalists who have a larger ranges etc but Taeyeon's voice is something else. Not only is she great at conveying emotion and telling a story, her voice can be delicate as well as powerful. Her discography is also amazing and versatile. Probably my favourite kpop soloist. Great video!
Very nice video and something that I'd like to say is that I loved your approach to Jessica's departure from SNSD. A lot of people tend to say (or imply) that Taeyeon had something to do with it and hate her without real evidence. It's a shame that she, to this day, has to carry that burden on her shoulders. I really love Jessica still and think she deserves acknowledgment even if we may never know the true reasoning for her departure since none of us were in that meeting. At the end of the day she was still apart of SNSD for nearly a decade and that's her history too. I acknowledge people's varying opinions on it, but I tend to believe "time heals all wounds" so to speak. If we, as fans, let bygones be bygones it's possible one day we may get some sort of reunion as these things can happen (even with the blacklist.) If we don't get something like that, however, that's ok too. If I may be honest, it was the Fans that made the relationship get messy. Some people gossip that "Taeyeon hated Jessica" since 2013. But what new people don't know was the alleged "Hong Kong Club Incident" in 2013. HK paparazzi took obscure photos of 2 girls emotionally drunk in alleyway, and claimed it was Taeyeon and Yoona. Taeyeon addressed the rumour on her SM, as she always, with a cryptic message saying "She didn't cry, she wasn't there, she was back at the airport." However, Jessica fans throught she was talking about the unrelated Incident where Jessica accidentally got knocked down by her security guard at the airport, and she doesent care about Jessica and started hating her. This was the first time, where Taeyeon realized that SONES and Fans who claim to love her and SNSD, can quickly turn on her. This hate continued until 9/30 where it really took off, and fractured the Fandom. What actually happened was later new photos shows Tyler Kwon, a girl, and another that looked like Jessica hiding from paparazzi. This was confirmed later by Tyler who posted that they were at the HK club for her birthday. But it was too late, Taeyeon and Yoona was getting hated, and they stayed silent for their reasons (sound familiar?). Taeyeon could have shut down the club rumour more clearly, but in true Taeyeon fashion, she bottled it up, and couldn't express herself well, which is why Tiffany who is more expressive, is important in her life. It goes to show how misinformation and assumptions based on misunderstandings made by Fans, can hurt Idols. And it's hard to take it back once it's been let out. Someone said that if SONEs were truly supportive, then Taeyeon wouldn't have been hated and depressed for years. She only got that way, because SONEs collectively, failed to protect her. The hatred overpowered the support. I somewhat agree with that sentiment. Taeyeon has recovered better now, mostly, on the backs of newer Fans who know her as a Soloist and was never affected by 9/30. They just know and love Taeyeon as they see her now, without bias or prejudice. That's the hard truth of Kpop, it's a Fan driven Industry, and Fans can dictate an Idols' well being.
The main reason is Teang isnt just a visual. She has everything an idol supposed to have, especially singing ability ( bu saying like this , i dont want to attack other idols )

I remember the interview that taeyeon mentor say about her was he never meet a young student who so focus who sole purpose and passion is only for music. I cant remember the exact words but he say something how most young people craving to be a singer just for different motivation and was easily lure for the temptation that promising and come with it like popularity, wealth, money, glamourous life. He said he never meet anyone that he teach who doesnt have that greed who whole focus and passion is music that how much taeyeon love for singing is. Also if was released 6 month not a year after snsd debut. And thru out of taeyeon ost success she was actually asked so many time when she will be releasing her own solo album. We saw the trend so many kpop group once they start success, their most popular member/lead singer/rapper will start taking a solo venture for their solo career by releasing their ownsingle. They dont wait long just 2-3 years group success and start getting popular u will saw their singer will release their own stuff. This question of when u gonna release ur own solo was asked in numerous show and interview but it also prove that taeyeon is not a greedy person on achieving her solo career achivement. She decline any offer to make her own solo album while snsd is on top of their popularity. She said back then she much happier to perform as a group not individual as she still not ready to come out as solo artist. The closest solo we got from her is either from her ost work and tts sub unit. I remember everyone was so happy when tts first out coz fans have been waiting so long for taeyeon to release her own stuff so we get to hear more of her voice but instead solo album she again come out as snsd sub unit as she still want to perform with snsd members. Tts was form first as side project for sone who was thirst for snsd comeback as snsd was going thru a year of hiatus after their last release. Her love and pride also authority towards snsd, the selfless love she have for snsd is also one of reason why everyone love and respect her. She refuse to ride snsd successful to achieve her own but she rather choose to focusing on solidifying snsd as group and only after snsd is ready and members start going to their own direction taeyeon finally release her own solo album. I think thats the reason why she is so successful coz she wasnt rush, she prepare her self for a long time to come out with her own identity while for a long long time even after she success as soloist she was still introduce herself as im taeyeon from snsd. Only recently she stop doing that.
As an old sone, kinda obvious taeyeon is my top bias among members (altho tbh i guess as sone u just gonna love each of members as much as ur bias). In my own personal opinion i was most worried of taeyeon when tiffany, sooyoung and seohyun leave sm especially tiffany leave korea and go back to america. If u a sone it is well known how close these two are. So when snsd members start doing their own thing and less active, even with anti fans, jessica fans n oppa fans attacking taeyeon i wasnt as worried as i was when i got news tiffany leaving. There was a huge worried from us fans but with tiffany still around is kinda put my mind at ease until fany news come out. If u close and living together with someone for that many many years since u were kid, going thru all thing u have to go thru as an idol together while dealing with ur mental state, i cant imagine the void that came from it especially when u depress and introvert. Maybe im wrong but i saw snsd and their members as a home to taeyeon who leave home at young age to depend on and tiffany as someone closest to her is probably like a pillar support that she have to keep her stable when other member one by one move out and become an adult. So in my opinion for both of them, tiffany leaving back home is actually a big step that probably the biggest impact she have to go thru finally living and facing world alone after so many year from teenage to adulthood depending and clinging on each other. While she processing this new big change the string of bad news start happen starting from jonghyun to sulli. We dont know how close she was with go hara but im sure it must leave some impact. she even got car accident and was criticize for it then her dad passing. People may joke about taeny closeness tho as shipping but as her fans i was dead worried how she (both actually) gonna adjust her self to adulthood and finally living a seperate life on their own while all these event happen n dealing with ur own demon. Tiffany said she now start meditate she been practicing it everyday for last 5 years since she back to america. I imagine it must be hell to finally facing world on their own. Im glad taeyeon now look better and shift her focus on work (she probably using work to avoid being alone too much) and u can tell she focusing her attention to zero to heal herself and deal with her state.

This was such a lovingly crafted and incredibly well-done look at everything that makes Taeyeon, Taeyeon. I always assumed that the reason why I (and basically the entire world) love her so much is because of her talent and the fact that her music is just that good (seriously, I don’t think any other artist has genre-hopped like she has and STILL kept me enthralled with each song). But your point about her being the voice of a generation really hit the nail on the head. I can’t believe I never thought about that before. I found Girls’ Generation when I was 15, and they’re one of the few (groups of) artists from that time in my life that I still love to this day. All of the ladies’ solo careers have been incredible to watch, but Taeyeon was inarguably The Voice of the nation’s girl group, and that’s definitely part of her incredible star power. Really well done with this video, I’m so glad it popped up in my recommendeds! Range doesn’t matter it’s the technique cause you have extensive huge range but your support technique is bad. Yea Taeyeon excels in the C5-D5 range in it’s constant support resonance & forward placement. Low range is great for female soprano down to G3 & mid high head voice support up to F#5 at time G#5. Obvious combing her greater well rounded technique with her ability to emote & convey emotion + story telling no wonder she’s popular and loved

She is my number one idol and singer from 2009. Falling in love with her when i watched her "if" performance, her first ost that blow up her career that make her known as a real good singer that can hold her own without her group names. She is humble, dorky, sensitive, artsy, and really deep as a person.

Everything about Taeyeon is impeccable. For someone who overcame SO MANY public issues, not even private because as a normal citizen we all suffer from problems with our lives. It’s undeniable, but she had to go through that in broad daylight. It takes a strong person with a strong willed heart to keep pushing like she did. She smiled thruout everything and it pains me why the industry hasn’t changed since. When people ask what Kpop group you should listen too (ofc Stan blackpink lol) but I always recommend Taeyeon to first listeners to all genders male or females. Her voice tells multiple stories and hardships. It hits deep in emotions that people don’t recognize. I’ve had people cry listening to her music but don’t even understand what she’s saying. If I can summarize what Kpop is all about : Taeyeon is your best bet to express Kpop music. She is an artist who gives her 1000% of emotion. Not off putting everyone else in the industry, but majority of Kpop today is about keeping up with trends and numbers. This video is so well thought out, but yet it’s sad it’s barely a small part of what she went through during her career.. it definitely shows how strong she is, and how harsh the industry is. But most importantly, it shows her humbleness. She’s my ultimate kpop idol not only because she’s talented and funny, but also because she’s one of the most, if not, the most down-to-earth person in kpop. To me, for an idol, ethics should come first following talent. Taeyeon’s got both.

i never considered the nostalgia factor, which is weird since i've stanned snsd since 2007. i guess because it felt like taeyeon was always someone i listened to, it didn't click, but it's so true. she defines kpop in a lot of ways and will be that one person people will think about and try to emulate as time passes.

King Taeyeon is such an incredible role model to those who suffer from bullying, depression and mental torment. She openly talked about her depression even when she knew she'd get a huge amount of hate for it, was brave enough to not smile when she didn't feel like it, and even broke down on live stages. By breaking stereotypes, in a world where only unrealistic perfectionism is rewarded, she fought for her friends who had already lost their battle. She made people feel seen.

In 2008, South Korea suffered a near total economic collapse that devastated the country.
12% of the economic growth that occurred the following year was attributed to the success of SNSD's "Gee." That song made people go out and spend money again.
It was so popular at the time that SM had to put out a public statement asking people not to steal the promotional posters for it.
It's not a stratch to say that those 9 girls helped save Korea.
Taeyeon had the shortest training period yet she is the most well-rounded member in Girls'Generation. She can sing, dance, modelling and MCing well.

She's got a good public recognition and her songs receive almost the same hype as iu's when it's released. But it's important to note that she's the best selling korean female artist today. I don't think we can compare both tho cause Taeyeon came from Girls' Generation where she built her career and also made her name as a soloist 2015 onwards. Basically IU is TY's senior as a soloist but as an overall artist Taeyeon has a more diverse experience since she's worked as a girlgroup and a soloist too.

Come on, now. I wouldn't say she was the one that made snsd popular. Yoona once acted as Saebyuk in You Are My Destiny and the rating of that drama was really high. I would say that contributed to snsd's relevance as well. But I don't see Yoona's fans taking the credits anywhere. Let's be honest here, the biggest contribution to snsd's fame is Gee. Not just one individual member.

I think she contributed a lot to the older generation's side because her drama was a family drama at that time. Taengoo unnie also just started to sing OST as well as Sunny unnie. Back in 2009, Yuri unnie (1st ever viral fancam) was very popular both in the Army due to their song Genie and Invincible youth (w/ Sunny). She and Soo unnie are usually at Strong Heart or Running man. Then they had to halt everything for Japan showcase. I think each member did help to make the group popular, but we can say that Taeng unnie, since she's a vocalist/soloist is more prominent in the kpop world. She's also spectacular soloist at the same time very charming. And she's still very active in the kpop world in the time that fans lean towards social media more while the rest of the members are doing acting, hosting, and variety. Hyo unnie is pretty popular these past two years, too.

Very nice video and something that I'd like to say is that I loved your approach to Jessica's departure from SNSD. A lot of people tend to say (or imply) that Taeyeon had something to do with it and hate her without real evidence. It's a shame that she, to this day, has to carry that burden on her shoulders. It was very refreshing to listen the "Jessica Gate" without the "shade" or the need for gossip for once.

I really love Jessica still and think she deserves acknowledgment even if we may never know the true reasoning for her departure since none of us were in that meeting. At the end of the day she was still apart of SNSD for nearly a decade and that's her history too. I acknowledge people's varying opinions on it, but I tend to believe "time heals all wounds" so to speak. If we, as fans, let bygones be bygones it's possible one day we may get some sort of reunion as these things can happen (even with the blacklist.) If we don't get something like that, however, that's ok too. If I may be honest, it was the Fans that made the relationship get messy. Some people gossip that "Taeyeon hated Jessica" since 2013. But what new people don't know was the alleged "Hong Kong Club Incident" in 2013. HK paparazzi took obscure photos of 2 girls emotionally drunk in alleyway, and claimed it was Taeyeon and Yoona. Taeyeon addressed the rumour on her SM, as she always, with a cryptic message saying "She didn't cry, she wasn't there, she was back at the airport." However, Jessica fans throught she was talking about the unrelated Incident where Jessica accidentally got knocked down by her security guard at the airport, and she doesent care about Jessica and started hating her. This was the first time, where Taeyeon realized that SONES and Fans who claim to love her and SNSD, can quickly turn on her. This hate continued until 9/30 where it really took off, and fractured the Fandom. What actually happened was later new photos shows Tyler Kwon, a girl, and another that looked like Jessica hiding from paparazzi. This was confirmed later by Tyler who posted that they were at the HK club for her birthday. But it was too late, Taeyeon and Yoona was getting hated, and they stayed silent for their reasons (sound familiar?). Taeyeon could have shut down the club rumour more clearly, but in true Taeyeon fashion, she bottled it up, and couldn't express herself well, which is why Tiffany who is more expressive, is important in her life. It goes to show how misinformation and assumptions based on misunderstandings made by Fans, can hurt Idols. And it's hard to take it back once it's been let out. Someone said that if SONEs were truly supportive, then Taeyeon wouldn't have been hated and depressed for years. She only got that way, because SONEs collectively, failed to protect her. The hatred overpowered the support. I somewhat agree with that sentiment. Taeyeon has recovered better now, mostly, on the backs of newer Fans who know her as a Soloist and was never affected by 9/30. They just know and love Taeyeon as they see her now, without bias or prejudice. That's the hard truth of Kpop, it's a Fan driven Industry, and Fans can dictate an Idols' well being.
The main reason is Teang isnt just a visual. She has everything an idol supposed to have, especially singing ability ( bu saying like this , i dont want to attack other idols )
To summarize her 15 years long career in 30 minutes video is almost impossible but you do her justice. Thank you thank you thank you so much. Im crying watching the whole time of your video. Thank you for loving King Taeyeon. ❤️

I remember the interview that taeyeon mentor say about her was he never meet a young student who so focus who sole purpose and passion is only for music. I cant remember the exact words but he say something how most young people craving to be a singer just for different motivation and was easily lure for the temptation that promising and come with it like popularity, wealth, money, glamourous life. He said he never meet anyone that he teach who doesnt have that greed who whole focus and passion is music that how much taeyeon love for singing is. Also if was released 6 month not a year after snsd debut. And thru out of taeyeon ost success she was actually asked so many time when she will be releasing her own solo album. We saw the trend so many kpop group once they start success, their most popular member/lead singer/rapper will start taking a solo venture for their solo career by releasing their ownsingle. They dont wait long just 2-3 years group success and start getting popular u will saw their singer will release their own stuff. This question of when u gonna release ur own solo was asked in numerous show and interview but it also prove that taeyeon is not a greedy person on achieving her solo career achivement. She decline any offer to make her own solo album while snsd is on top of their popularity. She said back then she much happier to perform as a group not individual as she still not ready to come out as solo artist. The closest solo we got from her is either from her ost work and tts sub unit. I remember everyone was so happy when tts first out coz fans have been waiting so long for taeyeon to release her own stuff so we get to hear more of her voice but instead solo album she again come out as snsd sub unit as she still want to perform with snsd members. Tts was form first as side project for sone who was thirst for snsd comeback as snsd was going thru a year of hiatus after their last release. Her love and pride also authority towards snsd, the selfless love she have for snsd is also one of reason why everyone love and respect her. She refuse to ride snsd successful to achieve her own but she rather choose to focusing on solidifying snsd as group and only after snsd is ready and members start going to their own direction taeyeon finally release her own solo album. As an old sone, kinda obvious taeyeon is my top bias among members (altho tbh i guess as sone u just gonna love each of members as much as ur bias). In my own personal opinion i was most worried of taeyeon when tiffany, sooyoung and seohyun leave sm especially tiffany leave korea and go back to america. If u a sone it is well known how close these two are. So when snsd members start doing their own thing and less active, even with anti fans, jessica fans n oppa fans attacking taeyeon i wasnt as worried as i was when i got news tiffany leaving. There was a huge worried from us fans but with tiffany still around is kinda put my mind at ease until fany news come out. If u close and living together with someone for that many many years since u were kid, going thru all thing u have to go thru as an idol together while dealing with ur mental state, i cant imagine the void that came from it especially when u depress and introvert. Maybe im wrong but i saw snsd and their members as a home to taeyeon who leave home at young age to depend on and tiffany as someone closest to her is probably like a pillar support that she have to keep her stable when other member one by one move out and become an adult. So in my opinion for both of them, tiffany leaving back home is actually a big step that probably the biggest impact she have to go thru finally living and facing world alone after so many year from teenage to adulthood depending and clinging on each other. While she processing this new big change the string of bad news start happen starting from jonghyun to sulli. We dont know how close she was with go hara but im sure it must leave some impact. she even got car accident and was criticize for it then her dad passing. People may joke about taeny closeness tho as shipping but as her fans i was dead worried how she (both actually) gonna adjust her self to adulthood and finally living a seperate life on their own while all these event happen n dealing with ur own demon. Tiffany said she now start meditate she been practicing it everyday for last 5 years since she back to america. I imagine it must be hell to finally facing world on their own. Im glad taeyeon now look better and shift her focus on work (she probably using work to avoid being alone too much) and u can tell she focusing her attention to zero to heal herself and deal with her state.
If we could get a surprise return of 2NE1 (an officially disbanded group) at Coachella, then we can still have hope that SNSD will have a comeback some day! 🙌💕

This was such a lovingly crafted and incredibly well-done look at everything that makes Taeyeon, Taeyeon. I always assumed that the reason why I (and basically the entire world) love her so much is because of her talent and the fact that her music is just that good (seriously, I don’t think any other artist has genre-hopped like she has and STILL kept me enthralled with each song).
But your point about her being the voice of a generation really hit the nail on the head. I can’t believe I never thought about that before. I found Girls’ Generation when I was 15, and they’re one of the few (groups of) artists from that time in my life that I still love to this day. All of the ladies’ solo careers have been incredible to watch, but Taeyeon was inarguably The Voice of the nation’s girl group, and that’s definitely part of her incredible star power. Really well done with this video, I’m so glad it popped up in my recommendeds!

@@rere9991 of course , as an idol but as a vocalist( more extensive) ,i meant there are more artist who has better ability of regulating dynamic and vocals range , thats is factuality . Taeyeon is well known for her superb controlling technique and combining skills which no one can match
@@PhuNguyen-fl9zv I mean the only kpop idols that I can think of that are better are Luna, Hyorin, Ailee, Lina (from the grace). Range doesn’t matter it’s the technique cause you have extensive huge range but your support technique is bad. Yea Taeyeon excels in the C5-D5 range in it’s constant support resonance & forward placement. Low range is great for female soprano down to G3 & mid high head voice support up to F#5 at time G#5. Obvious combing her greater well rounded technique with her ability to emote & convey emotion + story telling no wonder she’s popular and loved

She is my number one idol and singer from 2009. Falling in love with her when i watched her "if" performance, her first ost that blow up her career that make her known as a real good singer that can hold her own without her group names. She is humble, dorky, sensitive, artsy, and really deep as a person.

Everything about Taeyeon is impeccable. For someone who overcame SO MANY public issues, not even private because as a normal citizen we all suffer from problems with our lives. It’s undeniable, but she had to go through that in broad daylight. It takes a strong person with a strong willed heart to keep pushing like she did. She smiled thruout everything and it pains me why the industry hasn’t changed since. When people ask what Kpop group you should listen too (ofc Stan blackpink lol) but I always recommend Taeyeon to first listeners to all genders male or females. Her voice tells multiple stories and hardships. It hits deep in emotions that people don’t recognize. I’ve had people cry listening to her music but don’t even understand what she’s saying. If I can summarize what Kpop is all about : Taeyeon is your best bet to express Kpop music. She is an artist who gives her 1000% of emotion. Not off putting everyone else in the industry, but majority of Kpop today is about keeping up with trends and numbers. Kpop back then had a lot to do with experiences and emotions portrayed from those experiences. It’s why a lot of artists who are older, has timeless pieces. Songs that can never go old, and always has an uniqueness to them. Taeyeon is one of those people who can still portray those emotions because she stand firms on her ten toes to still tell it today. She never follow trends, because she is always a trendsetter. And that’s why she is my favorite Kpop artist of all time.
