    Some oils can be considered to be moisturizers because they penetrate the hair strands, such as olive oil, coconut oil, sesame oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil to name a few.

    If anyone is interested in vitamins that are more affordable, try Beautifully Bamboo Hair, Skin, and Nails. It's also black owned like Manetabolism, but it's only $16.

      kens mb Just as effective. I've used Manetabolism, Hairfinity, and Nature's Bounty, and I can say that Beautifully Bamboo works just as well. Check out Longhaircareforum for reviews. There should be a few on here as well., but there are more reviews on the online hair forums.

    A great product that never gets talked about is Gueye products, it's a Ca. Black owned hair company that's been around since i was like 16yrs old and i'm 44yrs old now. They have a kiosk in Crenshaw mall and you can order it on Amazon. The shampoo and conditioner and hair vitamins are the best, anytime I go back to it; I always think Why do I use other products? Just because I am a product junky but my hair is super soft and manageable, I bring it to the salon for my stylist to use that's how much I love this product. The marketing is like zero.

    My hair generally doesn't mind silicones. And I clarify on a regular basis. So the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration is still my favorite, but it looks like they are discontinuing it in Belgium because I can't seem to find it here anymore. Thank goodness I have a big stash of it left, but I have no clue what I'm going to replace it with (cheap) once I run out.

      +Jesseca I broke out in cystic acne all over my face not even a week into taking it 😫 I drank a crazy amount of water and still had negative effects. Pure biotin doesn't agree with me, but I like that Manetabolism Plus is balanced with other vitamins and nutrients that counteract the effects of biotin.

    I've been revisiting Aubrey Organics (GPB) and it's so nourishing. I also love Mielle products, but the deep conditioner is more protein balancing than moisturizing. What is your deep moisturizing conditioner? Also the Mielle leave-in has a silicone (amodimethicone).

    Did you experience any breakouts with the mane choice vitamins? Great video😄

    • @PowerInYourCurl
      @PowerInYourCurl  7 років тому +4

      No I didn't! And I had a horrible experience with biotin so I was super worried about it. In my experience with the pills, when I drink a TON of water and even when I don't drink water like I should I don't experience break outs.

    • @minimalassembly7893
      @minimalassembly7893 7 років тому +3

      I normally have clear skin and I experienced awful breakouts. I only increased my water intake slightly since I usually drink a fair amount. It took a few months for the breakouts to subside and 10 months for my skin to balance out again. I did experience thicker, softer new growth that has continued.

    I've always heard that protein is "bad" for low porosity hair? I noticed you said your hair is "thin," so is that why it works well on your hair? This is in reference to the Mielle Organics. I wanted to try the deep conditioner but decided not to due to the protein in it. Just wanted your opinion on that as a fellow low porosity member. lol

      If you have to you can if you add an oil to it for a little extra oomph but I would not use it as your only deep conditioner because I have found that it will not be as moisturizing or penetrating as a deep conditioner will be.

I still have a little relaxer at the ends of the hair, do you think this could be slowing the growth process or getting longer.
