When the two hits the six might insinuate the changing of the seasons. February, the 2nd month of the year (winter) and June being the 6th of the year (summer). As winter ends and Spring and Summer come, Chino’s yearning for a sense of winter during the summer. To me, this song has always translated to the desire of opposite seasons while experiencing a current season and wanting the specific moods and memories that are produced within those seasons. ‘I think God is moving its tongue’ could be a metaphor for the transition of the seasons. Just a personal interpretation 🤘🏽
They did this on their second album and it showed how well they could make music with the most basic of ideas. After their bassist passed, they got a shot in the arm to their passion and they keep churning out great stuff. Rosemary or Sextape or Hearts/Wires. Can't remember what you've done or if those will get blocked right away but glad to see you back.
I just looked up the line and I think it was " when the 2 hits the 6 and it's summer" I think if Chino meant June then the line might have been " when the 2 hits the 6 then it's summer" but then the 2 would probably mean February. I think Omar looked up a story that said Chino hated seeing the sun when he left the recording studio. I just pictured the band doing the off hours slots at a recording studio to get the discount which is usually something like 12 AM - 6 AM or a 2 AM - 6 AM slot and then rolling out of the studio after the session and being blinded by the blazing sun and being like "WTF! We came into the studio and it was dark and cool out and now we're going to sleep and it's fucking hot and hella bright out." That's just my interpretation and I really haven't delved into the lyrics that much. The Deftones are probably the only ones that know for sure.
when the two hits the six is another way of saying Two Thirty. The hour hand is already on the two but he is waiting for the six which is when the bell rings and he gets out.
aha i found it so funny when you predicted this to be a chill song. ive watched almost all your videos! you should review something by dance gavin dance!
I always loved how the slow parts feel like a cloud and the heavy parts feel like sunburn.
Deftones are my favorite band and I love watching your reactions to their songs. I recommend "goon squad" it's a 🔥🔥🔥track
Around the Fur (the title song) next. Really good, funky vibe
Favorite by them. The drum beat is too good

YAYYY HI LOVE YOUR REACTIONS ❤️😊
hello i love ures too < 3 :)
My favorite Deftones song !! 🤘😜🤘
I think "2 hits the 6" might mean the second hand on a clock (the hour hand). So 6 A.M. would roughly be when the sun would rise in the morning.
I always thought he meant 6 as in June, the start of summer

Much love from Florida, hope you have been well man
This video is very good at cutting, because it makes you believe you can hang with sharks.
More Deftones! 7 WORDS* Birthmark*Root* Feiceteria* Elite*Bloody Cape*You've Seen the Butcher* Knife Party*Rickets..
React to HIM - for you
Try Mascara or Lhabia from this same album... They have kinda dark vibe...
The chorus to the next song, Lhabia, is alot like this one. It's nice and clean while still having some really chunky and percussive verses.
I think if you really like chill vibe music that is in the nu Metal ctg. Try Beauty School by Deftones..
Thanks for another Deftones video. WTF is that with the diamond mirrors lol? Is that your closet door? Looks good.
Deftones - Lotion
Circa Survive - Schema. Do it for the children... and because I still check to see if you make videos :p
Yo just subbed, live your reactions bro. Try Bow Down by I prevail I promise you won’t regret it
👏👏👏👏
