    You just can't kill a Honda, sometimes middleweight bikes are more fun and less demanding to ride. I had 2 GS 550e Suzukis and the engines wer indestructible they were over engineered with roller bearing crankshaft. Middleweights are great fun.

    A 550 is my goal for next year. I was going to sell both my bikes to buy one but i got in an wreck last night and the one i was on likely totaled. Hope to still find a 550 for next year if i can get back on a bike again. Great video as always!!!

    Tighten the rivets on the clutch basket will eliminate half the perceived cam chain noise

    The only problem you really have to watch out for is a worn hyvodrive chain eating through the bottom oil castings .and sieving the bottom end up.

    In my opinion and having owned both they are much nicer bike then the 750/4 was. Lighter and better handling .

    Is the 360 cam new? Those are cool. Bike sounds good. It seems to me when you listen to a bike idling on an iPhone video or a go pro video, you tend to hear all the little taps and clicks you don't hear as much in person.

      Dave, I just added the GoPro Max to the camera bag. Love it for riding videos. Before all you saw of the bike was handlebars and gauges.

    I"m guessing that's not the original carb setup? Don't know that I've seen an inline 4 Honda that didn't have a carb per cylinder - but I also wasn't in the US as a kid, and I guess there may have been different variants to allow for US emissions.
    Edit: the carburetors also look to be very different to what I've seen on these bikes before - they usually appear to be either Keihins, from the spec sheets I've read - and are much closer to the engine itself to allow room for a good-sized airbox behind the side covers. So when you say you set the carbs to 2:16 "factory settings"...I'm not sure how that happens when it seems you have a non-factory setup.

      This is an aftermarket carb kit from SpeedmotoCo. “Factory settings” for the Mikuni Carbs. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for watching.

    May of missed it but the 2 carb/manifold conversion, does it affect the performance at all? I appreciate an older classic middleweight isnt something you ride round at 10/10s anymore

      Probably the same as electronic ignition. Here is the link to the install video. Be nice it was one of my first videos. ua-cam.com/video/2Sm8APjP9G4/v-deo.html

    Hi there, it could just be me but i don't think it's balancing that is wrong with your wheels, it seems like your wheels are not round as though they are egg shaped, as the bike seems to have a judder when you are riding it.

    So what carb settings did you revert to?

    • @motorcyclerewind
      @motorcyclerewind  10 місяців тому +1

      Started at idle 4 out, a/f 1 out. Then small tweaks from there. Can’t remember what the jets are. Did make sure jets were clean and clear. Thanks for watching.
