Man, this brings me back. I had an El Camino SS with the iroc package, i picked up around 2001 from the original owner...my grandfather. I installed two Rockford HX2 12's in it, on a Punch 150, and did kicks with components and replaced the stock upper dash speakers, and ran the mids and highs on a Rockford "Peanut" haha. I'll never stop loving 90's car audio, as was some of the best gear you can get...power and sound quality foe days. Love the video Big D!
Yeah, that would be the way I would wire it.
Just watched the video again and noticed how clean the engine bay is! This guy takes good care of his car!
To each his own, thanks for the comment
No doubt! That car and system look CLEAN!! He is working on upgrading it already...we'll show it off again when the upgrade is complete, maybe get a demo next time
All your comments makes all my time and effort worth it . ( like an oven in the garage some days )
Wow, even as a Ford fan, I have to respect this clean IROC! Of course the HCCA 2nd gen Orion's are awesome as well!
Very very nice!!!!!! I’m bump in’ ol’ school Rockford Fosgate 25 to life amps! 2- punch 150’s... 1 punch 75. Old school shit brings back memories!! I love the ol school amps!!
Sweet setup! 53 K orig miles....that's a score. Love third gen Z's
Awesome ride man! Fort Worth tx showing love
Thanks guys !!! Future upgrades will be 2 more 2100' vertical behind front seats with 4 more twelves on either side and total electrical upgrade . Long term project tho . 2100 is under 2 ohm load now I'm not running it hard it's a casual driver more show . Def upgrade electrical with future additions this was a 2 year spare time and money system
Nice car and system!
I agree a demo would have helped, but limited quality cell phones won't really capture the audio very well anyway.
that is truly amazing man that car is mint I wish I could say the same for my 1986 IROC z28 tune port fuel injected 305 I have some radio issues I'm dealing with right now I got to 700 watt a piece speakers that my radio is not big enough to push I was going to get a booster equalizer for now but I'm not for sure and I don't know if I got an amp if that would cure the problem I have a homemade box in the back set up for two tens and I'm doing a little at a time I'm disabled so my money aint the best I'm in a wheelchair but I just wanted to say I love your setup that looks really amazing and thanks for all your cool videos man you got the best on UA-cam have a good one brother
@ Roy Nelson did you ever end up getting it figured out and what did you end up going with? Sounds like you needed an amplifier for certain and if you are shopping for amp or subwoofers you should always match thee "RMS" wattage of them and ignore the inflated "MAX power" numbers....
Very nice! System looks clean and powerful!
Are the 6x9's running full frequency? I have never listen to a Camaro myself, but it looks like they are pretty close to your outside ear.
Thanks for sharing!
Very very nice Old School set my friend!!! It would of been nice if you would've gave us all a nice sound system demo to see how it sounded!!! Thanks for that Old School Sound System tease!!! 😂😂😂 Great video!!! 👍👍👍
I got the video from a viewer. Prob is we can’t use popular music because UA-cam respects copyright unlike some other social media sites
Very Cool Install!!!
Man that's a clean chevy and good system
Great job on the 2100 HCCA sir!
Great video! Good job Justin. And Dereck.
Love the old school stuff... I have a set of 2 ohm Soundstream 6.5in mid tweet combos from the mid 90s that would be perfect in the car. They are new, and never been installed...Model SPL 60
how does it run with that stock alternator? mine only pushes like 66 amps. beautiful car and system.
Cool video. Very nice Camaro and sweet system. I remember when those 2100's came out, man they were loud. I built a system for a customer with a Orion Concept 971 and a 973!!! They were the cheater amps... 1 watt and 3 watts. I have two of the newer style Orion HCCA 12"s- 73 lb. each frickin' monsters and a Orion HCCA 5,000 watt amp running the at 1 ohm!
Nice ride
Def a lot to ask of that old alt. I like the box, looks good. I'd have wired it similar. Wonder what the voltage drop is like with all that on one yellow top
That is clean!!! Very nice
👌😬👍
👌😬👍
Let's look at my Z28 1984 !
Glance at a 1984 Z28 / Test drive.
Chris.
BEAUTIFUL
sweet ride
+Jason Phillips this was a S mittens vid, but I agree 👍
The MTX2300 is a beast! So is the 2100 HCCA, for that matter. I don't have much gear in my car right now either, but hope to one day when I have more install time. You at least need a sub in your car though?
I think Justin said the 2100 is not loaded down at all and running at 4 ohms. I'll have him verify...
Yeah man, that would be cool!
I'll have Justin clarify. I think the 225 is running the 6x9's and the 250 is running the components.
ohhh..... I used to have 2 of those HCCA 225's and 1 2100. They were stolen. :(
Love those amp's!
Amen northhankspin . Thanks agin Dereck for all your hard work and great videos you do keeping old school alive
AWESOME!!!
some old school speakers and subs would make it really old school.
I don't know if you've tried this but... Try an active set up on your fronts... 225 to the tweets and 250 to the 6". Run deck power to the 6x9s and fade your deck 70% to the front.
what song is that ive heard it in a few of your vids and it kicks ass
Sweet setup... That 2100 is begging for more power and what ohm load is the 2100 at? Again it's pretty badass
u can look on ebay because I find a bit of old subs/speaker by looking up kicker old, jl audio old, Rockford fosgate old etc.
Nice!!!!
No equalizer or crossover?
do you know how to turn the internal amp off in these?
Nice
AwesomE TexaS O.S. InstaLL!~👍👍👍
Could be wrong but didnt the type r s come out aftr 2100s discoed
Yes, using newer subs with old amps
I concur
A demo would have been nice. But overall clean.
how do I get ahold of this Jeremy brennen?
Cool!!
I got old school stuff. MTX 2300, 4160, 2200x amps. 2 MTX 10" tri boxes one with 5000 and the other 6000. 1 MTX 8" Blue Thunder. HCCA 2100 recapped at Ebbco. My girl hates all this sits in our room. My car only has Pioneer 4" door and 6.5" deck replacement speakers and a 5.8" Pioneer dvd touch screen.
overall, badass
Yeah, those are much more difficult to find in good working condition though
hell yeah pup up the bass!
Clean Z!!
Mansfield, eh? I'm just west of DFW Airport. Small world, haha.
all it needs is an Alpine deck from 84 to 92
It's one I got off beatsroyaltyfree...can't recall the name
The Cowboys seat covers are good for a extra 10 dB
You can never have too much power!! ...assuming your electrical system can keep up... :)
While it is possible to do a one amp-system, designing and tuning of the passive cross-over is not an easy task. And the dynamic capabilities would be compromised.
name song intro please
should have 1/0 guage
Agreed, future proofing is a good thing 🤘
I got the same car, can u give me a link or tell me where you bought the system? I'm lookin to get it for my camaro
I live off I 30 in grand prairie
Nice car but horrible seat covers
WTF??!!?? You didn’t even fire it up?????
Nice clean HCCA's paired with the Type R's is just not working for me.
I have a 84 that I'm rebuilding
+tracy spencer sweet, these are cool cars
I love them
Just drive it.3rd gen not good for storing away
Had one not that bad ass
