God Can Deliver Us | Mosiah 18-24

In the Book of Mormon, we find that the people of Limhi faced great afflictions. The Lamanites had surrounded them, and they were burdened with heavy tributes and suffering.
Despite their iniquities, the people humbled themselves, cried mightily to God, and sought deliverance from their afflictions (see Mosiah 21:13-15).
The Lord heard their cries and began to soften the hearts of the Lamanites, easing their burdens, though not fully delivering them from bondage. This teaches us patience and trust in the Lord’s timing. We can find peace in knowing that He is aware of our individual situations.
Although we may not all face the physical burdens that the people of Limhi did, their experiences teach us that even when our trials persist, the Lord hears our pleas and provides relief in His own way, personal to our own circumstances. Sometimes He lightens our load rather than removing it entirely, and other times He may redirect our paths.

Just a friendly heads up: there is a transcription error on the fifth subtitle text to show up: "and attacked with a tax that...", which should read "and are taxed with a tax that..." This error may lead some to believe that the tax itself was interpreted as a direct attack by the people of Alma, which may seem a bit odd here.
