good game design says every single one of the hitscan enemies are garbage. the vanilla ones are unfair enough already (since they're undodgeable, it's basically RNG) and ugh. most of these monsters just have big old overpowered lasers with NO telegraphing, no cooldown and huge AOEs as their weapons and that's about it. some nice behavior patterns instead of just high stats and overpowered weapons would go a long ways to make them actually fun to fight against. and the ones with homing projectiles? Pff. how about give the damn projectiles a timer so you don't have to dodge them forever or drive them into a wall? make them drop after a few cycles and do a different attack when they "fail". some of these sprites are actually much cooler ingame than they look on realm667 though.
I've been playing the mod for over 2 years now with legendary and clusterfuck addons and the xlusterfuck add on makes legendary monsters easy to kill, if not adding 2 more tiers of legendary monsters (Enraged, Nemesis) But because of a shit ton of new weapons in clusterfuck, the mod is quite better now.

Yep. The Leg Archvile is known as the "Resurrector". 750 hp, bleeds when shot, but is completely unkillable. Spawns in a pentacle formation with others of it's kind. Scared the fuck outta me when "the resurrection" happened for the first time.

These are some Such Baddasses op Sargeants. They need a little Nerf. A little balance will be nice: for a damage less than 60, to have a Long Combat. Well, that is what i thought.
Ehh the new weapons and runes and also new items balance it out a bit like the Spread rune and also the Legendary rune which I think is the rage, Resistance, and strength rune in one package. Also there is of course the chalice of invulnerability and skull of power. Also there is a sort of super version of the invulnerability sphere called the Armageddon sphere. What it does is that not only does it make you invincible but it also makes you deal even more damage. There is also of course the Legendary armor which grants you 500 armor and as long as it's active you lose no health. There is also a sort of Legendary variation of the soulsphere which grants you 500 hp when picked up. There is also something called the Legendary Ultrasphere which gives you both 500 health and 500 armor. There is also the Demon tech weapons which can harm the Legendaries but certain ones take no damage from certain Demon tech weapons like the Legendary Cyberdemon takes no damage from the Demon Tech BFG. Oddly the Legendary BFG can harm Legendaries but as you can guess this weapon only drops from the strongest Legendaries like the Legendary Sentient which is the Legendary version of the spider Mastermind.
Genuine question, how would you actually ever defeat those legendary monsters, some of them just straight up one shot you. Is there even an incentive to fight them, you probably just get a soulsphere or a bfg/ammo just for killing them (which is NOT worth it)
i really like this mod, only problem is that legendary monsters seem unbalances, i just cant find a way to fight them. under certain circumstances, generally in close spaces, they are just impossible. its almost always an insta death
hex shotgunner diffcult should be S. Although he is small and squishy, he can one shot anybody that don't have legendary armor or big hp pool. Being small is an advantage too because you sometime didn't see him around the corner.
what i am saying is that Hex shotgunner is difficult due to not being able to see him thus letting him deal the first shot which end up in one hit kill.

I use ZDL, you have to run multiple files with one of those source ports, but I recommend you look at my latest Doom video as it shows the updated version.
The Legendary Imp is the easiest Legendary monster to kill, even easier than the zombie. If you have the Leg Rune equipped you can kill it with a few railgun shots. I like to encounter the annihilator imp or the poltergeist to get a chance to have the weapons dropped, especially the Freezer Rifle.

Make sure you load the wad FIRST before loading Complex and LCA. Example load order: 1) Alien Vendetta 2) Complex Doom 3) LCA Keeps the .pk3s from conflicting too much.

Yes. Or you can also do it like this, you see that gzdoom notepad file? Go down to where it says "[doom.doom2.Autoload]" then under it type in Path="Location and file of complex file here" Path="Location and file of LCA file here". i.e. Path=C:\Documents\GZDooM\LCA.wad Does that make sense?
GZDoom does work with Complex + LCA, but in my experience, it tends to crash a lot on the larger levels with tons of enemies like Hell Revealed 1/2, Scythe 1/2, Alien Vendetta, etc. I'd recommend the most recent version of Zandronum for better stability and a practically-the-same play experience. ^.^

Zandronum is kind or crap today. I can't get it to build here. I've been known to get some pretty impossible code to build too. But to be fair I didn't try all that hard to get Zand to build either. It bombed out, I tried to patch it, that failed, and I was done.

You might want to watch some of my recent playthroughs, I literally beaten most of them.
You can usually beast them from afar if you’ve got cover and the proper weapons.

Many are cool and would be better if it were not for the great use of narcotics when designing. Maybe that's why they never become canonical.

Yes. Or you can also do it like this, you see that gzdoom notepad file? Go down to where it says "[doom.doom2.Autoload]" then under it type in
Path="Location and file of complex file here"
Path="Location and file of LCA file here".
i.e.
Path=C:\Documents\GZDooM\LCA.wad
Does that make sense?
GZDoom does work with Complex + LCA, but in my experience, it tends to crash a lot on the larger levels with tons of enemies like Hell Revealed 1/2, Scythe 1/2, Alien Vendetta, etc. I'd recommend the most recent version of Zandronum for better stability and a practically-the-same play experience. ^.^
Notepad file? Can't you just call it a text file? Some of us Linux users run GZDoom too, you know?

Zandronum is kind or crap today. I can't get it to build here. I've been known to get some pretty impossible code to build too. But to be fair I didn't try all that hard to get Zand to build either. It bombed out, I tried to patch it, that failed, and I was done.
