I don’t think they were hoarders. I think over the years people exploring and vandals have tossed everything around looking for valuables. At least you guys are respectful
I completely agree like possibly someone started packing and organizing after they died but never completed it…
No….they were not as messy as all that…look at how neat the preserves have been put on the shelves..and ornaments arranged. Would be vandalism throwing what they didn’t want all around. Don’t forget the sisters have been gone for twenty years you said? One mystery to me is the perfect blue hat in the conservatory……if it didn’t belong to you, I’ve never seen such an immaculate hat, after twenty years and not a speck of dust?? That doesn’t work…there has to be at least a thin layer of dust, yet nothing! Explanation please??
Absolutely right.... it's been 20 years. Other people have messed the house up "exploring" I'm so tired of hearing in every similar video that the people who lived there were hoarders.
Correct!
It doesn't seem like a typical hoarders' house to me.
(Unless all of us are "hoarders" to the people who keep less stuff than we do.)
Yes, thank you. The place has been vandalized and things just got thrown everywhere.
Never miss a video. My favorite people on UA-cam.
Mine too.😊
Same here xx
My fav explorers by far 🙂
Sam and Jess are the biz 👌
What a totally gorgeous home. Another one that makes you sad that it was eventually abandoned. No chance anyone could save it I’m guessing but jeepers, wouldn’t it be nice to just even rescue the furniture?
Thank you for a wonderful journey through time. Until next time, take care and stay safe.
♥️🇨🇦
That's what I was thinking! Those baby chairs, the staircase, that window!
I agree!! As someone who once owned many antiques, it's hard to see such beautiful pieces sitting there to rot. 😢
Love hearing the birds outside. I get it was a beautiful peaceful house and garden at one time
LOL at Sam wussing out at 35:15 🤭Thankfully, Jesses bravery saves the day 😁
😂😂😂
This one is heartbreaking. What a beautiful home. So sad that nobody comes to save this grand place.
Back taxes would be applicable never mind renovation cost. It's too far gone. Needs pulling down unfortunately
Amazing home even the rotting bits have some charm. I think the family left many happy vibes behind. Thank you Sam and brave Jess.🕷🕷🕷
💖💖⭐⭐
Yeah spider's 🕷 freak me out: BIG TIME 😱🤣😂💯
That white coverlet on that bed is so pretty.still. looks like it's hand made or crocheted
The stairs are so beautiful. .
Interesting place.
Just wanted to say thanks for a great adventure into a beautiful home. Stay safe, be careful of the mold. And have a wonderful and blessed day!!
This home is incredibly, unbearably sad 😢 I watch all your content and I think this one struck me harder than any before....
P.S. Thank you Sam and Jess! I love all things exploring.... abandoned buildings, towns, old cemeteries, etc, etc, but seldom get the chance. Watching your adventures make me feel the 'thrill' of uncovering history, living vicariously through your videos. Thank you!!
Yes, I got that same feeling. Profoundly sad.
I'm imagining it 50yrs ago when there was life in side I'm sure it was clean and orderly. Thanks Sam and Jess ❤
What a lovely home! Second floor kitchen and dining for the kids in the nursery and third floor bedrooms for the servants. All eventually leaving the two sisters to age in place - without much help perhaps. I agree with earlier comment - probably not hoarders but disrespected by raider type folk.
I’m always amazed by the hysteria generated by spiders - even dead ones!
Lovely place - especially the conservatory - thank you for the adventure!
It’s so sad that the items left behind couldn’t be sold to help the homeless or people in desperate need. Thank you for the respect you show to the house and to the people who once lived there.
Love the architecture of the home The stair cases is amazing ,thank you Sam and Jess.👍❤️🇺🇸
Good evening everyone 😘Thanks Sam and Jess this house looks amazing 😍😍😍
Sam and Jess my favorite people on UA-cam. Tanks for sharing.
Amazing house, love the spiral staircase, thank you for sharing ❤
This is looking good Sam n Jess and glad you’re back on your travels xx
Sam about to run a marathon lol 😂 love the vid
Such a beautiful house! Sad to see it’s decay! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
*its
Sad to see the English language continually butchered.
A beautiful place. I believe at one time that it was so beautiful that it was magnificent. Except for the kitchen. But it probably had servants when that place was new. And the garden room is just so lovely, I would have loved to have read a book with a full pot of tea in there in it's heyday. And the stair case, cannot forget that. Just a show stopper. When new I believe a lot of visitors would stop there for a minute or two taking and soaking in it's beauty. I would have loved to have known the full story on this quaint sweet beautiful and once magnificent place. Thank y'all once again for a great video. 😊
Nice video, wish you had shown the types of books they read, title etc.., the writing on the bottles
What an awesome home! I can only imagine how wonderful it was to live there in it's hay day!
amazing video, your camera work and choice of music is the best, top quality above all the rest. THANK YOU BOTH
I don't understand why everything is dusty or decaying but the blue hat on the writing desk is spotless.....
I've watched hundreds of abandoned videos, this is the first house that filled me with dread ever. I don't know if the Flowers in the Attic music box or the lead in but couldn't finish.
Hello Sam and Jess.A very strange place .The sisters it would appear had prepared a meal in the middle of eating and just up and left.Very peculiar. What a lovely place.Obviously Catholic thats a photo of their first confirmation. Big house for two old girls to live in .That stair case is lovely.Thankyou so much for showing me.
This might be my favourite abandoned house I’ve seen yet. And I’ve seen a lot of these types of videos! You guys are by far some of my favourite to watch, u focus more on the things I’m interested in. I don’t even know where to begin with everything I was drawn to in here. Ideally this house would have been maintained, just as it was. People have it so backwards I feel with what they view as quality or worthwhile and beautiful. Those stairs and the furniture are works of art and inspirational! The building is TRUE architecture! Not just ugly cement square boxes with cheap, boring and hideous furniture. I know it’s far too late to salvage it now. It’s jus such a sad loss because it doesn’t have a creepy feel to it or anything. It’s simply gorgeous and full of memories with a happy, homey vibe. I dream of having a place like this (getting it before the damage is beyond repair), first I’d fix the roof and give it rustproof aluminum roofing and make repairs to anything that could get worse if not dealt with immediately, then cleaning and organizing everything, even going through every bit of little pieces of history like photos, papers, books and little mementos etc. then putting them into a safe place like plastic bins, then in the beautiful wooden hutches, desks and trucks for safe keeping for future generations to explore. Fixing anything that needs fixing while sticking closely to maintaining the original pieces and keeping with the original time period when replacing anything. (Finding things at antique shops for example.) I’d take my time going through room by room and restoring it to its original charm before probably adding a little bit of myself into things like brand new mattresses, bedding, curtains and things to make it feel especially comfortable again while still maintaining elements within everything that captures the essence of what you can feel the place was like originally. A house and property just like this one would be perfect to do that with! I also always wanted a larger property with lots of nature, trees, probably a barn or maybe I’d add some outbuildings in an older original style for chickens, a hobby farm. And water close by would also be perfect! I can’t fathom why these places are left to rot!?
The long piece of straw art you were touching that you say smells like weed is called a corn dolly. It is a good luck charm and connected to folk magick . I have made them before. They have this in England, Wales and parts of Spain too.
That's one big house..would have liked to have seen it back in the day .I bet it was gorgeous...Thanks for the share ❤
This old lady has been a beautiful place back in her time thanks for taking me on this explore with you on this cloudy day here in Waldron Ark.
this was my absolute favorite. There were always stories when i come up about two sisters in a big ole house. This put pictures to all those stories thank you so much. Also Thank You for the respect. It means so much.
I seriously do Not believe they were hoarders! Disrespectful people have gone into that home and rummaged through everything stealing ,looting…please give these Ladies the benefit of the doubt. Thank you for taking time to show us what an amazing home this is/was…I can picture in my minds eye how grand it was.
The sisters seemed too meticulous to be hoarders. It seems that they may have had renters, too--and that would account for some of the damage. In the old days of big mansions, homeowners would rent out rooms to help with expenses and upkeep of residences. Look like there were some squatters there, too. What a gorgeous place it was back in its heyday!!
Items made then were made to last....amazing....thank you.
37:00 min. The winter garden is very beautiful !
Great video guys what an amazing place and massive too, so many books too, definitely a horder lived there, that decay as well wow, thanks for sharing 👍❤
A hoarder? Why?
Sure, they had stuff, and maybe too much for some people's taste, but obviously the house is in a real state since it's been abandoned, hence the impression there's rubbish all over the place... Because there is!
But if the property was tidy when occupied, I'm not sure we can consider its occupants were "hoarders".
As for the books, again they're a little bit all over the place but possibly because some of the shelves have collapsed, and it was really no big deal for someone a little bit cultured to have had that many -- especially before the internet was a thing!
Thanks for sharing this video Sam and Jess. What a lovely old home 🏡. I love the spiral staircase. Shame to see that it is abandoned.
This was a nice place at once ,loved the staircase to,wonder if that was honey upstairs in those jars ,shame this place will fall down with a lot of nice furniture, you two do a great job
Thanks awesome house I enjoyed watching
The sound of the birds in that one bedroom was so beautiful and the view outside
Its interesting that at the beginning the papers and blue purple hat has no dust or rubble on them but the table the table does.
Great video
What an Amazing home at one time it must have been. Thank you for posting this. I really enjoyed this old house. Cheers 😊
One of the best preserved homes ever!, Way cool, do a ghost hunt😊
Another amazing video guys, thanks for sharing.
Someone needs to clean the place out and save all the family items, pics etc. There has to be relatives somewhere. Such a shame if all was lost 😞
This is such an amazing place to explore. Great video guys. 😊😊👍
If i was to ever explore an abandoned place I would feel like i'd have to attempt saving the pictures, there has to be someone who would treasure those.
Correction: "If I was to ever trespass on someone's property, I would fee l like I have to attempt to steal the pictures, there has to be some fence who would resell those."
@frontenac5083 "If I was to ever visit an unused, neglected house that was being allowed to rot and decay and was no longer inhabitable, I would feel the need to rescue and preserve the irreplaceable photos that are going to otherwise be lost forever if I leave them be."
I loved this video. Great job!!
Life can also be sad, terribly troublesome! Reclusion and isolation, sometime means gathering the whole past around yourself, in order to preserve "a gone away, joyful identity". The Grey Gardens' syndrome teaches about. Respect the ones who have had such narrow "choices" like that. It's a matter of facts: whoever usually can, at least, judge or knowing all those original and previous home owners' private occurred history? Think about it.
Today I found you, this house for me was touchingly beautiful, with the music that fits so well.. Thank you
You guys are my fav explorers and I love your videos.
MARABILLLOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GRACIAS
Wow ..amazing property.
Amazing! A tree trunk in the house that's weird
I saw that doll behind the bookcase
I can only imagine that house new with pretty grounds and happy people in it once upon a time.
Hi Jess and Sam 😊
You can see it was once a beautiful and happy place. Such a shame things and places are left to decay. A lot of what you find should be in museums. A lot of collectibles and memories.
I see these houses and I wish I could have met the owners. I also wish I had the money to swoop in and save the house from decay.
Timestamp 5:11 lady's voice says " Quiet please" 👍
Mmm... OK; and?
cool video guys
I have really enjoyed this explore.
I hate the mess in these old homes I wish someone would clear or clean up
LOVE YR VIDEO'S 🥰
Sorry I missed the live🙁 But this was a awesome place explore 🤓👍🌻
Well done. Almost to 100k!
It's amazing how some of it is so decayed, while other parts are so pristine, it almost looks like the occupants will walk in at any moment. Of course, the vintage loving girl in me is screaming internally at the old leather cases & vintage cosmetics left to just molder away.
It’s wild to see such a magnificent home being reclaimed by Mother Nature
It was so beautiful at one time , lovely Victorian furniture , I like your close ups with the music ...
It's in France, so I doubt there's much "Victorian furniture" in there...
@@frontenac5083 Say what you want - it's not just about Queen Victoria - it's a time period between late 1800's and early 1900's
GREAT FIND ❤
Come to belfast you got a place to stay
To get a rough date of when the place was abandoned look at the tinned food and have a look at the date on it great explore 👍
Love that old piano
This place really got menin the feels 😢
So amazing!
I'm always left with many questions when I see this homes. Is there a way people can buy this? can you try to track the person? is there family, someone to reach? these questions hunt me hahaha
That house was gorgeous and Sad
Surreal! What a magnificent house the social history revealed by the contents of the house is mind blowing. The sisters lived a relatively normal life it would appear. How do you get permission to film and not be regarded as trespassers! But I am delighted to watch your sensitive and respectful film
What a lovely house and the let property too 😍there you are Sam and Jess one for you xxx
I wish a law was concidered that items can be sold to demolish these ruins but for the land to still have owners directly in the family. I,ve seen far too many and no one is caring about the responsibility of everyone not to pollute an area. They were obviously not poor. Loved your vid all the same.
Someone is looking after the property that's nice of them
In all fights in all of time, water always wins...
Does anyone else think this house may have been built during the Second Empire? Early 1850-to maybe 1870? That Mansard roof was extremely popular then.
I love u 2 u make me lol so much, eat and poo at the time😅😅😅😅😅😅
Poor house so sad
Those cupboards are beautiful
I think the first baby chair would be somewhere around 1880 to 1900. The second looked 1930ish.
At 7:03, you can see a doll behind the side of the bookcase.
Has me wondering how beautiful that place would've been (whenever) with them kicked back reading old, romance novel's. Did you check to see ? 😍 BTW Love that spiral 💯
At 13:20 on the book's cover it says "Our pilgrimage" in French.
Wow that hallway would have you tripping
Sweet home.
That was exciting...
I can imagine eating jam smoking pipe reading and listening to birds. Looks to have enjoyed a good cocktail as well.
That was definitely a book readers paradise and gut wrenching to see them rotting away, the leaning book case especially 😢 Decay is sad but awesome at the same time 😮 the marble fireplaces were beautiful!! I loved all the rooms!! Amazing property!! A scientist would have a field day with all the bacteria on the uneaton food, jars of food and jams 🤢 loved the glass house with all of nature growing and taking over!! I loved listening to the birds 😊 The staircase was beautiful 😍 Thanks Sam and Jess for a beautiful abandoned building 😊 ps sorry that i didnt get on the live. Take care guys xx
Can't understand the great heaps of stuff -rubble now- lying about. The elderly ladies couldnt have walked around it and if it was like that when they left they couldn't have cooked for themselves either. ?????
?????
Could they have had some boarders? Or relatives living with them?
Some of that stuff looks recently put there. I wonder, if someone has been squatting there since it is abandoned?
Sad. Looked like someone lived in pain and tried to drink the pain away. In order to detach the pain they also detached from the beauty of life. Including their amazing home. All just lost. Sad
