It's a wonderful thing that in this world of disposable stuff, their are luthiers like you who save the day. I'm glad you take proper precautions when it comes to fumes and chemicals.
Loving this repair. I have been caught out by hidden heel screws before!! At the end, I put a sticker inside the guitar to warn the next luthier about the heel screw!!
Good Thinking!
Patience marks an excellent craftsman!
Thanks Scott. Another great informative video. I learned how to roll too.
Glad it was helpful!
Roll em if you got em!
Awesome work Scott, i love your channel and subtle sense of humour 🎸🪕🎻
Rock on!
Love how you ‘roll’ your sandpaper…😉
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for sharing your knowledge generously
Always welcome
Another fine repair. 😎👍🥂
Thanks 👍
Great work as usual. I really enjoy your content Scott!
Glad you enjoy it!
G'morning...a great way to start a rainy saturday. Fine work, once again Scotty!
Yup sad rainy morning here in VA...
Morning!
Great video and cool guitar. I’ve seen enough of your videos that I’m starting to hear your mannerisms and funny voices even without you saying them.
Wow, thanks!
Nice finish details
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful work brother. ACCELERATOR!!
Thank you so much 😀
Good job!! Sometimes I think all that glue is going to your head hahaha just kidding..
Looking forward to seeing The next vid
Thank you! Cheers!
Hopefully the owner is up for the binding repair. I have seven Gretsch guitars; my two Monkees models need the fretboard binding fixed (well, likely replaced, as there are dozens of breaks). I retire in two weeks, so I'll have the time to make sixty year old looking binding.
Congratulations 🎉
Good stuff as always. I thought your last name was Harpeth, then I went to Nashville last week and I was like "oh"
No way! Hahaha
You can find a really good welder he could repair that bigsby. 👍
Just to funny
Nicely done for sure, dumb question. Why did you mark the bass side frets that you removed if your where going to do a fret job, or did i miss something. Keep up the great videos.
Thank You!
Senior moment! lol
@@harpethguitar I know what you mean 👍👍
will that neck stay that way ... I hope so
I think it will
I'm a little bit worried about how popular heat setting necks seems to be.. to me the moister you're baking out can and will come back over time. I know heat setting is a thing.. I''ve used it a lot! But to change how the wood cells stack take time and doesn't work if the woods too thick.. A 1/8th piece of 3 ply laminate will stay.. a 2 inch deep neck?
I will add that my knowledge comes from working on boats.. so maybe if you're axe doesn't float in salt water it'll hold up better :)
It has a steel truss rod, truss rod nut and washer rescue and the new frets were glued in with fish glue. That should hold it 🤞
Don't fool yourself, that yellow-brown crud is nicotine and tar.🤢
😬
