Whattttt??? 2 videos back to back?? I may burst of happiness
🤣😂😘
Hi Tina. Lovely to see you back. Love yr long dog as always. I haven't an air fryer. I love my oven. I've had enough gadgets in the past I didn't want another one. Chicken and wedges sound good to me. Take care hun. Xx
Nice catching up with you today great progress have a wonderful evening and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Thank you, have a lovely weekend
The Borrow a Bookshop is such a fun read. I did enjoy it. As I love books and bookshops, it made me wish that I really could go for a holiday and run the bookshop! I need my reading to be light and not something that will give me nightmares. So, unless I'm reading non fiction, probably about nature, or similar, then it's 'light and fluffy'. Try Dear Mrs Bird by A J Pearce. Or the Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley (if you haven't already read them). Or The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets by Eva Rice (that's actually classed as a YA but I enjoyed it.
Oh your Long Dog is so exquisite! And your book selections also, I need to look into more light girly books on Audible, I have plenty of credits. I have been skimping on food here also, with just the two of us, last night we each had a cup of soup and buttered bread.
Sometimes something simple can be just what you need to satisfy a craving. I would definitely eat differently if I lived alone . More Mexican food , couscous, and loads of cheese preferably melted 🤣😋☺️
Love my air fryer. Happy stitching Patty
Me too , it's a fabulous invention. Thanks for watching x
❤lovely to see you!!!!love books like that!!!!! 💗
That red cross stitch is amazing !!!!! 😁😍
Elaine 🏠💗
Thank you , have a lovely day 😘
Always good to see you Tina! I am in awe of you huge Red Cross stitch, it is stunning, so much time has gone into it. I used to cross stitch but have not done for a while, started small, got bigger & bigger, had them all stretched and framed and they are all around the house. My favourites were intricate wild flowers, berries, samplers, did christening & wedding samplers etc, but generally knit now. I have a Remoska , not air fryer, and really don’t use the oven, it bakes, fries, roasts , and runs the energy of a light bulb! Happy days 😅 Suze. 🥰
Yes, that was a huge reason for me to try an airfryer. When I found out how much it cost for an oven to run in comparison, it's amazing 😃
You do know there is a real bookshop where you can have a holiday? The Open Book in Wigtown, Scotland.
I prefer not to work on holiday 🤣 I hope you are well, miss you x
I just put the book you are reading in my "to read" list! 😊I've read all kind of books but I like those cozy mystery and chick-lit books the most lately and I don't appreciate it a lot when people criticize what I read. We read what makes us happy and that's that. If you are interested I'll give you a couple of titles of books I've really enjoyed reding and you can give them a try if you wish. So the "Lady Hardcastle" mystery series by T.E. Kinsey, they are, in my opinion always, amazing. I think you have also mentioned once "The Marlow Murder Club" by Robert Thorogood, an other one is the "The Thursday Murder Club" by Richard Osman, I enjoyed the second and the third even more than the first one, also the Mrs. Jeffries Victorian mystery series, by Emily Brightwell, Countess of Harleigh Mystery series, by Dianne Freeman, "A Knit and Nibble" mystery books by Peggy Ehrhart and of course the Agatha Raisin series by M.C. Beaton. I hope you'll find something new in my list that you'll enjoy 😊📚🧵🪡🧶
Thanks for the recommendations they sound like just mytype of books
So pleased your tina missed your blogs
Thank you so much
Thank you for the visit. I love the long dog and wantto do one in red of course my husband's favorite color.
I love red , especially in the home . It makes a room feell warm and cozy 😁
Thank you Tina for this vlog, everything that you do is just wonderful. I have the Ninja Duel Drawer also, it has changed my cooking life ( never really liked cooking !! ) My oven has not been used since Ninja moved in, perfect meals every time !!!
I'm really glad the airfryer is working for you . Cooking is an everyday day activity so it makes a huge difference. I'm really glad we got one too.
hello and always enjoy your content. I always like your book selections...have you read a Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah Maas? a bunch of younger girls where I work were reading it and of course I had Fomo. its fantasy and not really my thing but really it was good: a mash up of hunger gsmes, games, and the beast and lord of the rings...anyway, though I would share! 😊
I did start listening to it , borrowed from the library but I didn't get far. That might mean I would enjoy it more if I read it but I'm like you not really a fantasy reader 😊
Yes, Karin Slaughter is on my bookshelf along with some other darker mysteries , forensics , crime. Also have Emily Brightwell cozy ones and a few more lighter authors that have very clean type murders , non descriptive bashing over the head, a few poisoning and amateur sleuths :D
Yes the term cozy crime is funny . Is it possible to have a nice murder ? Yes in books it is and I love them 😄
I avoid shopping if at all possible - my husband does the weekly shop for which I am very grateful! No airfryer here - we keep wondering if we should get one but haven't been convinced yet. Hope the chicken and wedges were good.
Thanks for visiting, well done getting hubby to do the shopping 😄
My favorite one “the red one” ❤ 😊 so Amazing !!! Love it 😍
Thank you so much
Your dinner sounded yummy 😋. The Long Dog is stunning and will be magnificent! You have a good plan ahead for stitching too. Lovely to see you again! 😊
Thank you so much for watching and your lovely message
I just found your April vlogs. I am excited to see your progress on all things crafty. Thank you for making the time after work.
I like to shop once a week as well. I typically make a list of menus for the week and make the shopping list from it and what's on hand. Sometimes it all goes to plan, but not always.
The book isn't available in my library. Our library system has a used book sale so I will keep a lookout for any in the series. I like light books before bed as well.
Thanks for watching. Yes I make a rough menu plan but usually change it along the way depending on what I fancy and how much effort I want to put into it . I usually have enthusiastic plans until it's time to cook 😁
So great to see you back! And thank you for the book recommendation, “the borrow a bookshop holiday” sounds like a read I need right now 😊
Escapist reading , it's lovely to dissappear into a book. That's why I choose ones set in Cornwall by the sea because it's my favourite place. A good book can take me there instantly, brilliant 😁
Work just gets in the way, doesn't it. I love a good book. I'm reading Identity by Nora Roberts at the moment. No air fryer. My daughter has one though and loves it. X
I've heard Nore Roberts is very popular but I've never read one . I'm keeping my eyes peeled at the library for the one you read after Christmas, Kate Morton ? I've read a few of hers and loved them. I love a duel timeline with a mystery x
@@Simplyinstitches Me too. You could look in a bricks and mortar library. I find Borrowbox a bit limited. X
Long dog looks amazing - almost there! We have an Airfryer and honestly only use the oven if I bake now. Thighs with skin on in Airfryer are the best and super crispy skin yum yum and despite what they say a saturated fat diet id good for you!
Everything in moderation, is good . Cutting out crispy skin from my diet would definitely affect my well being , I'm a happier person because of it 🤣 I do love fruit and veg too 😇😁
@@Simplyinstitches yes crispy chicken skin is yummy!!
Happy stitching
Same to you, thanks for watching
"PromoSM" 👊
Thanks for watching 😃
👍🐨
Thanks for watching
Oh poor you. You seem so tired. I remember how I was on work days. Arrggghh just beat. Thanks so much for taking the time to vlog. I hope you have a lovely relaxing evening.
Thank you , yes gone are the days of working all day then a quick change and out again . All I want to do now is have a big mug of tea and craft, curled up on the sofa 😁
Another show & tell?!?! Yay!
I too need to read “fluffy” (I like your term) books after an intense, dark-er story. I’ve gone thru many book series of the “lighter” variety, and finding a light read harder to find. (Audio books thru my local - small - library)
Aren’t mitts the best? Easier, faster than socks with all the fun parts!
Yes I definitely enjoy mitts . I'm usually a selfish knitting but the time and ease of fit with a mitt makes it worth making as a gift 😁
I do love my air fryer and use it most days, we were a bit late to the air fryer party and was very sceptical at first but I do feel it was worth buying. I have just started reading The Borrow a Bookshop. Have you read The Wish List by Jane Costello? I have just finished that one and really enjoyed it. Can't beat a bit of chick-lit!
Thanks for the book recommendation, no I haven't read it. We only got our airfryer at Christmas because we were sceptical to but for a small household I think they are great . I was shocked at how much an oven costs to run and I love how easy it is to clean .
Yeah I’m caught up! I just finished the last 6 episodes. I didn’t realize I got that far behind on your videos. Your Long Dog is really coming along now that you are focused on it. It gives me hope that when I finally decide to start on Pandemic it won’t take me years to complete like so many others I have seen stitching on LDS. I am loving the Tarot. I checked my tarot cards & mine also has The Fool not what the designer had listed for the 1st one.
I'm not usually good at following a rotation but consistent scheduled stitching on a large project definitely is working for me . I think it's important to have free , any project time though just for fun 😁
Our oven started playing up a couple of weeks ago & I was tempted to buy an air frier but hubby managed to fix the oven before I had a chance to buy one. lol I do a lot of meal preps so that’s been a life saver when we both come in from work. 🍽️
A handy husband is a blessing but sometimes they are a little too efficient when you want to get something new 🤣😄
My Middles (my son and his lady wife) love their Air Fryer. They use it all the time. For me it is still a bit of a mystery. Not quite sure why you have to press 3 buttons to get toast done. 🤔😉
I've never cooked toast in it but it makes easy cheese toasties 😋😁
Love the red one the tree looks fabulous. I had an air fryer and didn't like it. I use the pressure cooker a lot. I read dark books myself but I also like a light read as well.
Pressure cookers scare me but I'm sure they are different now . My only experience is my mum using one in the 1970's . I thought it was going to explode at any moment 🫣😁
