Don't worry what other people thing about your build! It's your truck and project and your doing a great Job! my friend I love it and your having a lot of fun doing and building it.
Mr. Bush-Engineer, this is a pretty good idea and it's execution. Respect & appreciation 👏 I like guys who work for "functioning" and not for any degenerated "gimmicks"...And thanks for showing & Greetings from Austria 👍
That turned out way better than I imagined. From you explanation of what you were going to do, I wasn't certain. But that, is very nice. Stay safe Div. 🦇🥸
Dev , You are so shrewd with your Forrest Engineering ! At the beginning of this video I was a little cynical ; but that did not last very long . Great job !!
Lyk bevok Div. I used ABE bituminous membrane to cover the whole interior of my double cab Mitsubishi bakkie when I stripped it to find and repair a leak. It's worked fantastically well for noise reduction and I've seen interior temps of more than 50 degrees Celsius without it smelling let alone coming off. I also have some leftover PVC floor tile and will be sticking them in the bakkie this weekend after seeing your result.
''They can be best friends.'' What an interesting way out expressing compatibility. At a similar age as you, I too walk about my shop looking for non-typical materials that fit my needs. At only some 9000 miles between us, I would be more that happy to stop over to discuss your possible alternatives.
I believe it's just common decency brother. Especially when questions are asked. I am a little concerned that I won't be able to do it if there are too many comments but I will give it my best shot!😁
Div when the light inside your head switches on I know you will come up with a great plan. Truck floor looks great. Thanks for sharing your video my forest adventuring friend
Great job on the floor man! You repurposed stuff from the shop in true rat rod fashion. I really like the metal trim with the tacks showing. Great detail!!!!!! So dude , are we going to get a final cost on this budget build? Maybe an estimate of hours spent? Very interesting , entertaining and educational project !
I’ve always thought that carpet was the wrong place to be in a car. I was skeptical at first but when you got to the end. I was pretty impressed nice work 👍💯
I've watched you build that truck from the start. Sometimes I'd scratch my head, but you'd turn it into art! Thumbs up👍! Your a master of rat rod art!!
Really like your channel Div! I lived in South Africa for a short while in the mid seventies when i was 10-11 years old. Never saw anything like this back then! Keep up the good work, you really inspire. Best regards from Sweden. 😁
Good Morning. I'm your fan from Brazil my age 64 years old. I'm renovating a 62 year Chevrolet Brasil pick up. if you use french screw the work is beautiful.
Great idea. Rubber floors are the way to go Carpet in trucks are for those city folk. I too live in the country and rubber is much easier to take care of. Truck looks great Div.
Hey Div, that really turned out good! Every old jeep / truck I've rebuilt, the floors were rusted out because of moisture trapped in the carpet or in the felt padding under the mats. I just spray the " paintable " black undercoating on the floors and leave them bare . I am going to have to do some sound deadening material on my 64 F100. Even with the new door and window seals it's too noisy at 55 mph to talk without shouting. Well, almost shouting!:) Looks great!:)
Seen that design used in high traffic areas , takes a lot of beating .Nice vid , my kit car ( not rat or pristine ) has 20mm teak floor lasted 35 yrs needs oiling now and again !
@@ratrodsafrica yes wood is a stupid price at the moment , believe or not this teak was going to scrap ( old bench seating ) to be replaced with plastic seating .
Nice job , I like things on the cheap also.
When you start these projects I have my doubts it will work... Always impressed with the results by the end. Very creative, great job Div.
Awesome, thank you!
Don't worry what other people thing about your build! It's your truck and project and your doing a great Job! my friend I love it and your having a lot of fun doing and building it.
Thanks! 👍
You're ingenious Div!
"jam to a blanket" 😂 I'm here for the new sayings as well as the content now.
Good job Div 👍👍
😆 Jam to a woolen blanket. Or the cruder version, snot to a woolen blanket!
Div, another creative solution! Hopefully this will allow you to dream of more projects as you are quietly cruising to town.
Yes, sometimes one needs a little quiet!😂
I like it. It's different, and definitely less noisy than a bare metal floor. This is what building cars is about: using fun ideas that work.
That was a shitload of work but the completed project is amazing. Very well done.
Yes, took way longer than I thought!😅 Thanks!
Very nice job Div, that floor turned out great. Not only will it be quieter, it'll definitely cut down on the heat coming through the floorboard.
I really, really like the shit out of this interior! Pretty clever use of material for sure
I use linoleum flooring. It works great. Another day in paradise. ❤️🇺🇸
Fantastic idea Boet, the amount of times I burnt my toes with those roofing torches, brings back memories.
You are not the only one who has burnt his toes boet!😆
Mr. Bush-Engineer, this is a pretty good idea and it's execution. Respect & appreciation 👏 I like guys who work for "functioning" and not for any degenerated "gimmicks"...And thanks for showing & Greetings from Austria 👍
That looks awesome, great idea Div and a class A job laying it in, I love it
Again DIV great work
Whatever you choose for the truck it is still one of a kind and it looks great. Cheers from Canada !
Thanks Canada!😆
That turned out way better than I imagined. From you explanation of what you were going to do, I wasn't certain. But that, is very nice. Stay safe Div. 🦇🥸

It turned out great and for free. Can't go wrong there 👍👍

Practical, cheap and looks good, doesn't get much better than that. Thanks Div.
What a great idea using roofing membrain and PVC floor tile very strong and durable . I'm glad you liked my hubcap air cleaner lid.
Once again you did a fabulous job on the floor! I think it looks great!👍🏻

What's a few 1000 miles between mates? I'll keep the beers cold 😆
Genius idea both with the roofing rubber and the floor mats.

Thanks Randy. Yes, hoping to post the cost video on Sunday. I never count the hours though...
I really like your ideas and your work. I bet that will quiet that rat rod down inside. Let us know. 👍
Yes, made a big difference to the road noise
Brilliant

Thanks for the idea, I’ve got some of that to use in the trunk of my 35 Ford coupe. Have a great one.

I know that felt padding is horrible. No chance of trapped moisture now!
Excellent idea looks great to

That is practical, inexpensive, bad azz bro! 💪🏼
I agree with your reasoning about a quieter ride. Nice interior work. It is a definite improvement.

Exactly!😄

Hell oh an idea for floor covering
Practical and frugal. Great job!
Very good job man, just good ole common sense, very practical. I’ve used that membrane for many applications.
Love common sense!😁
