I bought this, this year, difficult to fault. Engine not the most punchy. Super smooth. I'm bit scared of mapping, cause my last car got screwed. Though it may not be due to map. Might even be the company who knows. Also the right hand side arm rest, can't really rest your arm while you are driving. Bit too low, bit strange. Overall, lovely looking car, great shape. Handling is good, not exciting, but good. Just need to get some nice tyres to go with it. Brakes are excellent.
Great video. I own one of these, been thinking of stage 1, just waiting for warranty to run out. I believe it is a quattro ultra system though, very similar to torsen but instead of mechanical centre dif it's a wet clutch pack. The advantage is that when you just cruising on the motorway it can disconnect the rear wheels which improves mpg ( I do average 40mpg but that's with a lot of motorway comute and the odd Dynamic mode launches and driving). But the quattro is always there when you need if, half a second before is needed actually as Audi say and I can confirm that. Some call it Haldex 2.0 but it's not really as it's is not a front wheel biased, neither is rear wheel biased, it's just quattro, wherever the grip and power is needed it's where the grip and power is. One of the best all-rounders in my pov
Had a look at a lot of cars since mines been wrote off Golf R included but the prices in Ireland are insane 😂 This on the other hand has caught my attention and hasnt left my mind so stuff like this is fantastic to know that i’ll be saving my money while buying a car thats just as good 🎉
I just discovered your channel and been watching your reviews. They are fantastic. I will sell my 2015 Leon FR soon, it’s the 1.4 petrol one, and been looking to buy the a3/a4 2 litre, petrol, quattro. If you guys can name a great company for a stage 1 engine and gearbox remap, i will appreciate it. Thanks
i am almost sure it does not have a torsen quattro. i have 2019 a6 c8 45tfsi and it does not have a proper quattro ...it has quattro ultra (haldex if you want) so i dont this that A5 has it
The Audi sedans I feel are nice right now but they are due for not a full re design but a face lift, the interior is about to get dated. Maybe slightly lighter more modern interior and that powertrain would be perfect!
round town you'll do 28mpg and on the motorway you can get above 40. A stage 1 can actually make the car more efficient, as long as you're not putting your foot down all the time that is haha.
This is not the same transmission as the golf R/GTI/A3/S3. The MQB cars use a transverse layout with a DQ250 or in later models a DQ381 DSG Transmission. The a4/a5 use the zf8 AL552 automatic transmission.
The a4/a5 actually uses the DL381/382. It is a longitudinal layout vs the transverse golf DQ transmissions. Not the same transmission at all between the 2 platforms
just bought an a4 with this engine, gotta wait for the warranty to finish then its remap time

Great video! Really informative and useful information. Keep it up. That MPG though 🤢🤢

Great video I think it's my best car for me to buy
It’s actually unbelievable how good a stage 1 Leon cupra is 😂

True...but for this type of.car is enough. And quattro ultra is a little better that haldex, I have both.
@@adrianhrusca4067 had seat with haldex and yes it is night and day compared to quattro ultra...it really is great
how do you feel about the ECU tune without the TCU, any complaints?
The b9 interior is lightyears ahead of the B10. The B10 is so ugly and full of screens. I love how this car specifically has analog gauges
Is the 3 litre version better?
The Audi sedans I feel are nice right now but they are due for not a full re design but a face lift, the interior is about to get dated. Maybe slightly lighter more modern interior and that powertrain would be perfect!
Damn, I have an A5 2.0L TDI, mapped to 205BHP and 420NM, I kind of wish I had something more powerful
Hi - which engine have you remapped - 150bhp or 163bhp ?
@@krzysztofmarciniak2527 i've an Audi 5 190bhp TDI stage 1 to 230bhp
Great review :-)
Hold on team! So is it better to just grab an A5 and tune it rather than pay for an S5?! Need some advice!😭
yup
I got this engine in A4 and remapped to 320bhp, if you can find one with this engine then get it and do it 🔥
Damn, I wish I got the quattro one… I got the 190ps version :p
And how it is ?
Where die you get the paddel shifters feom?
What tune did they use?
this or bmw 330 xdrive for driving pleasure?
I know this is late but does the Audi a4 b9 2016/2017 come with the same engine?
@@KP-uq3jr yes
@@ParagonCarsLondonthank you for the prompt response lookin at these as there far cheaper to insure than the likes of s3’s for me
same gearbox with s5 ? this is DSG, isn't the S5 having the ZF torque converter?
i said same gearbox as the s3. This a5 uses the longitudal version of the S3’s gearbox, still a dual clutch though. But yes the s5 uses the ZF8 speed.
Hello, what the average mpg on this car? Does the exhaust and stage 1 have a big effect on it?
round town you'll do 28mpg and on the motorway you can get above 40. A stage 1 can actually make the car more efficient, as long as you're not putting your foot down all the time that is haha.
@@ParagonCarsLondon thanks, just got this car and was wondering how fuel efficient it is
@@ParagonCarsLondoni have the same car but in the states and i get combined 22 average
@@jesset5576 obviously depends on how you drive. The long term MPG in my one was 30mpg over the course of a year.
How come this doesn't get 380 ft lbs. 515 nm like the Q5 2.0t with APR tune stage 1.
it depends on the tune. Some maps are higher in torque but they usually put more stress on the gearbox.
what exhaust mod is done to the car?
just a stage 1 map and exhaust
@@ParagonCarsLondon what has changed on the exhaust?
@@matthijsdebruyn7133 it was a custom exhaust so i’m not sure on the exact details i’m afraid.
S5 B8.5 or this?
If both are automatic I’d pick this
@Taha-1773 i bought b8.5 s5 the best thing ever💪🏻💪🏻
Where’s the tune from mate ?
Not sure, sorry.

I so dislike that Honda made the Civic to look so much like the Audi A5 it is not even funny.
I’m with you, the civic looks better than the Honda accord. WTH is Honda doing? 😂
you're driving on the wrong side of the road lol
