I own jawa maroon since a year as well as RE 350 classic since 4 years.
Jawa is best in terms of
smoothness, riding comfort and pleasure,great torque, head turning looks.
Everything is fine with this bike except some minor flaws like hard seat and low ground clearance.
RE has its own positives as a cruiser bike.
But if you want a modern machine with retro looks, jawa wins.

On the other hand I suffer from bodyache when I ride my RE classic for longer routes due to vibrations.
I avoid using RE more now.

Jawa just doesn't tugs my heart strings, it plays a full on rock song with them. I loved the bike as a kid and loved the modern version too
True the old jawa yezdi was always different from the bullet of those years. Always more sporty and faster. Way more reliable as well. I have ridden and owned bothe yezdi and old re bullet. The yezdi was way more reliable and simple. The bullet was like an old ambassador. Everything broke and leaked. If Enfield still made the old bikes , no one but extreme fans will buy them. These days enfields are bought by ex pulsar cbz owners. As they are easier to live with. Original bullet with contact point, right side shifter and kick start only will find no takers. But an old roadking will still be loved just the same

Never rode the diesel. But followed one on the road. It sounded like a Kirloskar diesel engine. Like the one used in irrigation and concrete mixers.
I was born in a middle class family but my Enfield made me Royal. 😎

@@ShankarDada010 there is no marking strategy in case of jawa, even my relative has booked one,they have not entered the market well prepared with thier production,we hardly find any jawa on road despite being launched a year back, even new car manufacturers like KIA have managed to deliver cars quicker, there is no advantage in making customers wait like idiots, even thier primary rival Royal Enfield had high waiting period, but see how they reduced thier waiting by managing thier production. Jawa didn't plan thier production and supply chain well enough for current demand.

In Bs6 jawa the engine in much more refined and sound of the Horn is quite loud ..seat comfort is now better than BS4 model.. also seat length is increased up to few mm and built quality is improved a lot ...

BS6 & new color scheme. BHP less than 20 again. Fuel gauge present.
It will be slightly larger and moreeee refined the current engine is still vased on older architecture

10.58 th time lap notice how badly the jawa Exhaust scraps the road and i own a RE TB which returns 35 in City and 38-40 out in Highway. Probably the vehicle you used here for comparison is tuned rich by Jawa Team 🤣😂 Jawa is really a visual treat with more retro looks and good Engine from Mojo architecture but heavy clutch and Hot radiator air, vibration, actually the bike isn't muscular and looks tiny near RE or Imperiale 400 and rusting /quality issues , delivery issues lesser service outlets makes more wanting for more from Jawa.

As per a recent news article, the new RE engines might not make it in time by April 2020, and RE might update the existing 350 engines to meet BS6 standards, till the new engines are ready.
I dont believe RE has been busy changing the looks for the new classic when all they got to do is put that 650 on that same classic model. Jawa should have made the classic jawa a bit more bigger and muscly
the new jawa is already bigger in all dimension as compared to its own predecessor .

Havent seen a single new jawa on road.. who r buying these bikes? The waiting period is 5months plus!!
I saw one and I have to say the road presence is quite good and the exhaust has a bit whistle like sound which is different from the thump but it's equally nice. But the waiting period is pretty bad not gonna lie

@jonu jaat enfield is king of road it's a realy good machine others who are claiming that it's a vibration machine the reason can be either they don't get geniune service done or they rashly drives which makes their bike vibrators owning a motorcycle is not the concern the concern is how u feed your motorcycles to make them look new better then showroom condition RE is king like HARLEY DAVIDSON even i don't own a RE or HD but i can relate which is best even i own a r15v3 its good in looks only bought 7 months ago mileage is good but it sucks on riding for long want to buy RE if i told my dad to buy me RE then he will give me 100 abusive words coz he saying to buy RE only!
@jonujaat lmao, going to gym just so you can ride a RE... besides RE today aren’t that well made. Paint job, engine sound, road presence etc. cannot be like the models of the early 2000s and the 90s. I have done a lot of tours, the RE is comfortable, with the most comfortable models being electra and the thunderbird, however it would be a lot more comfortable if it was low on the vibrations. That’s where Jawa comes in.
I can clearly say that jawa lovers will not want to make comparison after 5 years same model of old RE and jawa...😂😂😂

Enfield currently is a metal scrap . It was good in olden days , but now the quality totally sucks . I own a RE Himalayan and now trying to sell that due to hell lot of bike issues .

Jawa rides brilliantly well when compared to Classic 350. But Meteor and CB350 are better than both of these bikes.
Certain information given in this review is incorrect. I own a Classic 350 Signals Edition since thr past 9 months and it gives me a fuel economy of 33- 34 kmpl in city and 38- 39 kmpl on the highway. Plus it definitely crosses 3 digit speeds . I noticed that thr bike used for the comparison test has run over 13000 kms and mine too has crossed 11000 kms so there shouldn't be so much of a difference. So please give accurate information. . And yes you can't compare a long stroke engine to this 4 stroke one.
My standard 350 gives mileage around 40-45 kmpl.. More than 35000 kms i have ride in jst 2 n half years..
Many people claims that RE vibrates.. Yes it vibrates but if ur rideing bike it will definitely vibrate irrespective of any bike unless u r in a car. N nothing compares RE with longer distances ride... We people frm Assam use to ride bullet frm here to Sikkim, Laddak..

Classic has a lower handlebar position but the std 350 and electra has slightly raised and taller handlebar though everything remains pretty much the same. Std and electra gives better mileage.

I am a person who loves modifying the vehicles. So for me it will be An Enfield. I also wanted to know how truly is the Royal Enfield brand, I don't want to hear about it's heritage as I know it. Just tell me if there are any issues that cannot be ignored. If I buy a re, there is 100% chance that I will modify it within 6 months.

Please make a note the fuel average what you got both for RE highway & city test run is very low. It is usually 40km & above for 350cc engine. RE has the best fuel average among it's class. But in city runs it drops down considerably and range between 32-35 km/lt depending on traffic and riding style.

I own signals and i completed 1 year riding more than 12500 km. Believe me RE signals is the best edition so far. Low maintainance and a good vehicle. People talk about vibrations, speed bla bla bla. But dude these vehicles are not designed for race.

I have a question. I'm 40 years old, having a son of 8 years of age. I want to buy a motor-cycle either Royal Enfield or Jawa and of course i want to pass my motor-cycle to my son when he attains adulthood so that he may feel proud that his father transmitted him something valuable in many aspects. So on this count, please answer which is better for a person like me, whether Royal 350cc or Jawa?

i think you are very young to think about passing on your bike to your son , buy a bike you like and
enjoy the look, feel of it . your son when he grows up will have his own view's ,which may not match your's .

Our speedo reading matched.
We overtook a Classic 350 which was riding at 100+
I too own Electra jet black 2019 model. Below is my observation.
1) It is amazing bike if you are interested in cruising at 80-90 km/hr. If you ride beyond 100, it is more like getting dragged which should definitely affect mileage.
2) With decent riding, I am getting 40 km/l mileage.
3) As rear tire is slime compared to classic and weight comparatively less, the mileage is more compare to classic.
All in all, I am very happy with the bike considering my requirement..

Jawa is too low and small looking motorcycle which is a downer , but the only strong point is its engine refined and smooth performance ..
it is a plus point for short height people..
But does not look good for 6ft guys I think.....

Comfortable riding posture is a plus in RE. Jawa is punny.
Riding posture is plus but will become minus when you turn on the engine.. The vibrations will go from your ass to your brain
Jawa is lower and hence comfortable and easy to control.

I don't usually comment on these comparisions, but as i owned a RE classic 500 .....and then i switched to The Jawa.....and according to me the JAWA is the better pick....simply because of looks, performance and road presence.... The short height of the motorcycle makes it more flickable and confident....Royal Enfields are good..... but they're not matching Jawa!!

मैं भी jawa लेने की सोच रहा था। मगर test ride लेने पर गियर ज्यादा अच्छे नही लगे। वो थोड़ी आवाज़ कर रहे थे ऐसा लग रहा था कि बाइक को सर्विसिंग की जरूरत है। मेने बैक सीट पर बैठे शोरूम के एम्प्लोयी से पूछा कि इस बाइक की सर्विस due है क्या। उसने कहा बाइक एक दम ok है।

The new 2023 update has fixed thag problem. Previous jawa 42 had 165mm of ground clearance and the new update has 173mm bht the seat heighr has gone up to 788mm, still relatively lower than most bikes.

Few points to add as i am owner of jawa. Its no doubt broke the long lasting crap offering from RE. what is offered by jawa could have long done by re. But they are just sucking out money with old technology
