But here despite costing less, the interceptor looks significantly better than the leoncino to me.
So much bias. Since you have significantly favoured the RE, do allow me to point out what you missed. Interceptor handling is good compared to what? It might be good as a royal enfield, but so many motorcycles in that price bracket handle significantly better. You have dwelled quite a bit on the looks. For example, Odd fuel tank on leo? I feel it looks quite Italian, unique and gorgeous.. Not to mention offering better grab points for your thigh and knees. Rear end on int 650 is extremely gorgeous? It's just simple. The leo has a significantly better tail. In fact, that tail section is what I would call extremely gorgeous. See? It's all perspective and you shouldn't score the looks as they are subjective. Lot more appealing? I have never given a second look to an int 650 or gt650. The leo would definitely grab my attention or anyone else's attention better. The most important part when it comes to tyres is tubes vs tubeless. Go on a long ride, get a puncture in the middle of nowhere and then you'll understand why so many manufacturers have started giving tubeless spoked rims. It's worth the extra money. Both are eager to reach 150 kph, true. But you Failed to mention the bad wobble on the 650 twins at any speed above 150 when you hit the slightest of undulations. It wobbled on MMRT when Rajini was giving it the beans. How can you say INT650 is better for riding enthusiastically when the leo responds and handles better on the twisties carrying more corner speeds as per your own description later in the same video? Confused or misleading? And finally, truly reliable? What? The interceptor has been giving trouble to their owners in true RE style. ECU failure at high altitudes. Magnetic tank bag causing weird ECU response. Significant rust issues. Paint on the inside of the tank peeling off. Very odd placement of footpegs that hits your shin when you manoeuvre the bike in slow moving traffic. And these problems are not the occasional gremlins. Many customers have that problem.. The benelli will have problems and it'll surface over time which I'll gladly point out. The RE already has them. Please point out that this is why you are getting the RE for this much money.
I really don't think Enfield needs to pay anyone to review their bikes they are already selling these like mad And even Jay Leno reviewd it so that tells a lot By the way not a Enfield fan but below commenters were talking shit
How can someone say inline-2 configuration as a parallel twin.... Overdrive is on weed... Even a noob can understand that it's not a parallel twin by listening to its exhaust note
Interceptor does not have alloy wheels. And I own one. But with half the price of Leo, Interceptor makes a ton more of sense. What were leon guys thinking while deciding on price? An inline twin thats fine. Upside down shockers and alloys. But that added to an RE bullet 500 will still keep it under 2.5 Lakhs. So the price will male sure its a looser.

Not saying these bikes are better but that it's always better to take a look at em in person other than just giving ur two cents here. Or even worst hating on a bike and being biased beyonf reason .
You can hype and brag about 650 in the name of comparison however you want, but real bike enthusiasts knows benelli is a much better motorcycle here, except for the cost. The quality of parts, comfort and the most importantly sound is way better than 650.
This does look like a Royal Enfield sponsored and paid review. . . Firstly, these are 2 completely different styles of bikes. . .how can apple be compared to an orange? And if class of bike was not a consideration.. then why compare RE 650cc with Benelli 500cc. . and not the Benelli 600i... Which has closer match to RE650 in terms of engine capacity? Btw,Leoncino have parallel twin and means little lion in italian.
What to choose? For fun Leoncino, for reliability maybe Interceptor?
The interceptor is not stock...missing on rear grab rail... Handle bar is also not as per the standard one ... Requesting to please use stock motorcycles.... Regards...ride safe
Thats it na
- I think you need to revisit your definition of 'Not Stock'.
Vaibhav Halgekar This is a stock bike and has been on test with us for almost a year now! I’ve removed the grab rail coz I didn’t need it. Also, this is the STOCK handlebar. I’ve only removed the brace and lowered it because the bike is easier to manoeuvre like this.
3:31 Wait what? Looks are subjective but come on man, Interceptor looks better? Good lord.
Have u seen interceptor in real life? It looks far better
@@rajendertkr leoncino looks better

Yes it looks better, Leoncino looks like a Frankestein, no defined style...
@@koongfu00 No point arguing. Just accept the fact that looks are subjective
I would much rather look at the Royal Enfield which is gonna be the better bike in the long run. If you want to talk Italian Moto guzzi is much easier for me to say. I remember a love affair with a v65 Lario only to find out later they were just nice to look at.
I want a a RE Continental in the worst way.
A bunch of youngsters commenting on this video.
I was riding motorcycles when Nixon was president. We called everything from Asia "rice burners". Back then the Norton Commando was the bike to get. It still is.
Interceptors handle bar is not stock one, being an official channel how can you show an modified interceptor
shashi kanth But we are not showing a modified Interceptor! This is the test bike given to us by Royal Enfield itself buddy. The handlebar is stock too. I’ve only removed the brace and lowered the handlebar coz it’s better to manoeuver the bike in this position :)
@@abhayyverma should have mentioned that in the review even if it's a small change technically, it was a big change for you because you made it as per your riding preference which led you to enjoy the ride better than the benelli as you mentioned.
@@abhayyverma but what's the point in lowering the handle bar height and telling handlebar is positioned slightly low in review
jeeva's world The default position of the handlebar is lower itself as the Benelli’s handlebar is wider and taller.
@@abhayyverma could you please be more clear. Your response to Shashi Kanth states you lowered it but now you are saying something different or something that doesn't match up. Can you mention what changes you did to the bike that improved the riding condition for you and pin it so that everyone who sees the video gets to know. Because as you must have already noticed in the comments section, people are saying that it's a Royal Enfield sponsored video. Personally I don't feel that way but your actions certainly prove them right. And next time don't make such changes unless it's absolutely available from a manufacturer and if you still do then mention it. The fact that you did this change has totally gone against me wanting to trust your review.
There is more importance to background music than bikes throttle sound.
Abhi V Thanks for the feedback!
Very disappointing. Very unprofessional. Very dumb. Background music just sucks
You shut your mouth da Solomon.
proud to be an INTERCEPTOR-650 owner
The interceptor is only about the engine.. that's the reason the bike is priced very agressively.
Not true. The ownership cost is more expensive compared to the Bullets.
I could buy both INT650 and GT650 for that cost.. Marketing strategy and cost is where every bike fails in Indian market..
Still wonder if Interceptor should have been shod with headlight and taillight of RE Thunderbird, things would have been very interesting. 🤔
Where I'm from, the Benelli Leoncino 500 is priced at USD 7000.
While the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is priced at USD 10,000 - 11,500.

Interceptor is worth buying, extremely happy to own one.
As an older rider, the RE takes a very heavy pull to raise it from the side stand. It is also top heavy. Spoke wheels with tube tires, ah, let's say no to that. RE, make a 500cc 40HP bullet/classic with cast wheels and we have a deal. But that will never happen.

How many miles has that scorpion helmet covered? Appears to just keep going like a Corolla.
Mahesh Yadav Yes Mahesh! The Scorpion is actually turning out to be more reliable than a Corolla. Almost 5 years now :)
I prefer the look of the Benelli. The just released 502c cruiser has improved throttle bodies and performance. Benelli is the one to keep your eye on. RE as a company is not one I would support.
Leoncino looks unique. In the price point and power figures I guess the Interceptor wins it fair and square.
RE is an Indian 🇮🇳 company and has made a great product, whereas benelli is Italian.. Would go with RE Interceptor on any given day
A major advantage for the Benelli is its alloy wheels for tubeless tires. I love my Interceptor, but if RE doesn't pry its head out of its butt and make alloy wheels available for it here in the USA within months I'm selling it and buying a Triumph.
But now interceptor also get alloy wheels
No way you seriously chose re over triumph
Air cooled engines would cause trouble in sustained high speed for a long run....Leoncino surely a better bike with USD shocks and mono shocks...it’s a biased review...
Finally a fair comparison n review by Overdrive 😋
Seriously??

People need to here the sound of the bike that's really important on a review
I wouldn't touch the lion Cub with a pole, don't even want to try it, my interceptor is so gr8
Is the handlebar of interceptor changed???? It looks fantastic than the stock one.....
Tilted I guess
amit kumar No Amit, it is the stock handlebar. Only change is I’ve removed the brace and lowered the handlebar down.
@@abhayyverma nice work done brother....looks awesome.....can clip-ons be used instead of this handlebar....??
amit kumar Should be possible with slight modifications to the top triple clamp
Is it me or does everyone think that leoncino is kind of small bike ?
It's much slimmer than the Enfield with wider handle bars, it's meant to be a scrambler style, there is an off road version with spoke wheels and offroad tyres.
That wont happen when you hear the sound,
I thing re want to luanch full black inteceptor with powder coted black engine
RE sponsored review? Too much of bias towards Interceptor.
Shreekumar Nair Not at all!
Not at all..... Interceptor is actually a good value for money motorcycle..... 2.50 lakh and 4.79 lakh.... That is a huge difference......
Take a good look at both motorcycles. The Leonchino looks like a toy. The Royal looks classic and stronger. I decided on the English / Indian brand. In a couple of weeks I will be handling it in Argentina!

RE Interceptor 650 is better looking retro classic and best price tag also
Bicycles and bikes we're simple and solid earlier. Brands have spoiled the simplicity of these machines.
Interceptor is pain in ass ,i own it and i recommend not to buy it
Why? If I may ask?
STOP COMPAIRING RANDOM BIKES.
Harshdeep Singh Didn’t get you. Elaborate, please.
@@abhayyverma I see Singh's point, comparing a street bike with a scrambler is pointless. Why not wait until Benelli introduce their 752 Due street bike and then compare it with the Royal Enfield, the Due will blow the Interceptor into the weeds. Royal Enfield should have made their twin engine a 750, not a 650, the 650 only produces around 48 hp, that's simply not enough for today's power hungry motorcyclists. I'm looking forward to a decent road test of the 2020 Royal Enfield 838cc V-twin Cruiser, it certainly looks impressive.
Benelli is not known for bikes in Italy itself. I’d go with Royal enfield any given day.
Really but I am seeing all bikes are introduced in Italy 1 to 1.5 years before here
Gamer India my point is, they are not known for bikes. They are more popular for their firearms.
Anesthetics are subjective, but saying the tank on the Leoncino loos odd is odd. Its not my favorite looking bike either, but I can't imagine changing the tank to anything else.

How is if compare with Leoncino trail 500 is should a bit different feeling due to bigger front wheel
Should have compared imperiale 400. Overdrive gone nuts
to the experts in the comment section i would like to ask why is interceptor bad compared to leoncino.unbiased
I am 7 months late, but going through the comments it seems they want to justify the leoncino 500s price even if it has lower power and speed. It might be that the thinking is: it is Italian, so it must be better. While this is motorcycle is totally made in China with no design and development in Italy (you can check). Although I don't mind it's chinese development, but the interceptor is clearly a better motorcycle.
@@arijit276 Only in India is the Leoncino dearer than the Enfield, in Australia they are the same price, and sold at some of the same dealers. They are for different markets, the Leoncino is a far more modern looking scrambler style, the Enfield is a true retro classic. The Power figures are almost identical, the Enfield has slightly more torque, which being an engine 30% bigger capacity it should have. Makes you wonder why the Enfield is not 30% more power doesn't it?
@@raygale4198 Its the same kawasaki w800 vs kawasaki Ninja 650 thing. Both are very different motorcycle, and I was talking about India where the leoncino is clearly more expensive with a significantly scarce service network.
Its unfortunate that the interceptor is costly in Australia, price changes everything. If I get a more powerful motorcycle for the same price I will consider that with the interceptor. But here despite costing less, the interceptor looks significantly better than the leoncino to me.
Baaad pricing on the leoncino
Here in the USA both bikes are the same price. In that case, which bike would you choose?
So much bias. Since you have significantly favoured the RE, do allow me to point out what you missed. Interceptor handling is good compared to what? It might be good as a royal enfield, but so many motorcycles in that price bracket handle significantly better. You have dwelled quite a bit on the looks. For example,
Odd fuel tank on leo?
I really don't think Enfield needs to pay anyone to review their bikes they are already selling these like mad
And even Jay Leno reviewd it so that tells a lot
By the way not a Enfield fan but below commenters were talking shit
Specs same. 1 leoncino=2 interceptors. Interceptor winner. Case dismissed.
Only in India, in the rest of the world they are the same price, I think Indians are paying protection money to Enfield.
Gyz, don't you think by looking at the handle bars of the royal enfield that it is a coustemed handle bar....
If agree please hit a thumbs up
fayaz anis It isn’t! It’s just lower and without the brace!

Why this video is blindly inclined towards Interceptor? 🙄
I was very hyped about Leoncino but the pricing disappointed me. On road price should have been around 4 to 4.5 lakhs. So I am going with RE.

Outside India, they are both exactly the same price
this guy is soooo biased towards the Interceptor 650, he totally ignored the facts that the Leoncino 500 is Liquid cooled, has beefy adjustable USD Forks, Dual discs up front, switchable ABS, lower kerb weight, alloy rims, tubeless tyres, wider tyres, adjustable monoshock, full LED setup, and it even has the almost the same top speed as the the Interceptor 650, which is 150cc bigger engine, all he can say is half a second quicker LOL Overdrive get someone else to review this guy doesn't know shit about motorcycles.
I've read many comments saying the leoncino looks ugly however take a look at it in person and it looks much bigger and a thousand times more premium . Same goes for imperial 400 it looks thin and commuter like in images while in person it's much more premium and looks thousand times more premium than an re .
Interceptor is more like Rd 350.Rd 350 has a better exhaust note.but interceptor is smooth n less vibration than siblings
Pricing Leoncino around 5 lakhs on road makes the things better for Benelli...
Please review Benelli Imperiale 400
mohammed shoeb Soon!
Answer is, Benelli 600i is a MONSTER and although having marginally lesser engine capacity than the RE here, the Benelli 600i, will outperform Interceptor 650 by leaps and bounds. . .
And RE knows that. . . I wonder!!?
i second your opinion sir
So you pitched two of my favourite Motorcycle Brands in the country and you ask which one is better?
I'd kill for both of 'em tbh
Interceptor has thinner rear tyre thts why it is quicker , while Leoncino has fatter rear and front tyre to provide more Grip

How much RE paid for this ?
How about vibration issues with Royal Enfield at high speed ??
The vibrations were very noticeable in the older models, but both in the interceptor 650 and continental 650 it has been fixed
