This band started in the late 70's & has been performing for over 40 years now. They mix all types of genres in their sound. They have had some great hits such as "Africa", "Rosanna", "I'll Supply The Love", "Georgy Porgy", "99", "Make Believe", "Stranger In Town", "I'll Be Over You", "Without Your Love", "Stop Loving You", "Pamela" etc.
Thanks, Sarah, for the reminder of just how good this song by Toto is! Haven't heard it in years but it is still a wonderful song! Here's to the next reaction!!
The dancer is Cynthia Rhodes, who worked with John Travolta and Finola Hughes in Staying Alive. Toto were each studio pro musicians in their own right. Combined they were a huge creative force.
Sarah, nice reaction. This song is on my car playlist for obvious reasons. Check out a few of their other songs as well. You will not be disappointed. Thanks.
The true story is one of the band members had recently broken up with beautiful American actress Rosanna Arquette. Two of her movies were After Hours and Pulp Fiction. She was older in Pulp Fiction but still beautiful. I had this record. Great song ❤
As info: ""Rosanna" is a song written by David Paich and performed by the American rock band Toto, the opening track and the first single from their 1982 album Toto IV. This song won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year at the 1983 ceremony. "Rosanna" was also nominated for the Song of the Year award. It is regarded for drummer Jeff Porcaro's half-time shuffle, commonly known as the "Rosanna shuffle". The song reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks...It was also one of the band's most successful singles in the UK, peaking at No. 12 on the UK Singles Chart and remaining on the chart for eight weeks".
My band mentioned playing this song. I'm the drummer. I refused. I feel like you've got to pull off Jeff's shuffle with a fluency I just don't have. This beat was influenced by Bonham's Fool In The Rain shuffle, which of course was inspired by the Purdie Shuffle. Find an isolated drum track on YT of this song. It's face melting.
Please react to Haley Reinhart and her DAD at chess records. She does two songs (cant find my way home) and a Original song. An incredible talent simply wonderful. That's Billy from Florida

They were accomplished LA studio musicians before they formed the band.
Before the RosannaShuffle there was the Purdie Shuffle.
Love it reactions, I can't find anyone that reacted to "SALT AND THE SEA" by the Lumineers. Live. 😁

Dorothy said "Toto!... I miss home in Kansas!"
Toto said "I miss the rains down in Africa" LMADO
