Woah your collection has grown so much!! You’re making me want to spend all my coin on more horror movies 😁
I know right, I didn’t even mean to get so many but the thrift stores were poppin lol
Here's another good horror movie I would recommend watching Urban Legend.
Sweet thanks!
@@HauntedHippie Your Welcome.
@@HauntedHippie ++0
Have u seen movie Exists . It's creepy it's about bigfoot
I'm the same way about physical media love having them on my shelf instead of having to tracking them down on a streaming site
Totally with you on owning physical media. I don't have a massive dvd collection, but a decent sized one (I buy lot of used dvds also). If there is a movie that I love and will rewatch I want to own it. I'm surprised you haven't heard of Seven earlier, it is fantastic and one of my favorites.
Nice! Yea it sounds great and super underrated!
Same I like dvds 📀 💿 because then I don’t have to worry about shows & movies I love being taken out of Netflix when I don’t notice & then when I want to rewatch it, it’s not there.
Exactly it’s so annoying when they take stuff off with no warning
With Saw, I would focus on the first three. It was a completely different franchise after that.
It’s nice to have your own copy of Halloween.
Okay good to know! And yes I’m very happy about that!
Listen I agree!! As someone who worked in a thrift store (I’m not sure if all of them are like this) but the one I worked at would throw away a ton of books/movies/etc that weren’t bought and just 😭 thrifting is fun!
There is also a prequel to Never Hike Alone. Called Never Hike In The Snow. Also they are filming Never Hike Alone 2. I already pre-ordered mine.
Finally someone understands that it's just way more satisfying having physical copies, everything is way too online based now maybe I just prefer the old fashioned way of getting DVDs😂
Good collection Final destination is good BOOD
Awesome finds. I'm going to check out a yard sale tomorrow. Don't want to go crazy as I'm spending at least $20 at Spirit Halloween next week. Already know what I plan on getting and it's all going to be The Nightmare Before Christmas. Wish I had a phone so I could film a video of my collection of The Nightmare Before Christmas collectibles.
Oh that’s a cool theme! I don’t really know what my decorating theme is going to be this year
I love You Man is literally a top 10 comedy for sure. I like seeing people enthused about collecting physical media. Great video as always.
Thank you! Right I think that movie is so underrated, one of my favorite performances by Jason Segal
Hi Kylie so sorry for the late reply, your channel has grown so much I'm so happy for you! Awesome collection btw
Thanks! Yea I'm loving the recent growth, I'm hoping to get monetized by the end of the year :)
The village is my favorite M. Night Shaymalan movies believe it or not
I would recommend watching When a Stranger Calls I really enjoyed it.
I buy a majority of my DVDs and my CD collections at goodwill. I used to buy them at F.Y.E. at a mall near me but sadly F.Y.E. went under. Nothing against all these streaming services they are cool and all but nothing beats the feeling you get wen you can say you own it physicaly.
My feelings exactly!!
Nice video excellent 😀😀
Hey Kylie, love your videos and seeing all your movie pick-ups. Subscribed! Will definitely check out your movie reviews and your take on them. I currently own close to 600 horror dvds which i hope to post "organized" haha on UA-cam in the future. Keep up the great videos and awesome bargain hunting!
I highly recommend the original the thing movie, one of my favorites
I still love having a DVD and Blu Ray in my hand.
Here are some great horror movies you should watch and review.
The Burning (1981)
The Prowler (1981)
Maniac (1980)
Day of the Dead (1985)
Evil Dead II (1987)
Cool thank you!
And The Prowler was directed by the same director of Friday the 13th The Final Chapter.
The Evil Dead is the movie that Nancy is watching on TV in the original Nightmare on Elm Street.
Day of the Dead has special effects done by Tom Savini, the effects artist behind the gore of Friday the 13th (1980) and The Final Chapter.
Zoolander is such a scary movie
It has its moments honestly
Kylie Roseanne 💀
Have you considered doing the Texas chainsaw series?
Nicolas Cage did with 8mm one of the greatest thrillers ever, but after that his carreer went down hill. I watched so many movies with him and so many are not that great...
I’ve totally bought remakes and thought they were the originals 😭😭 ex: amittyville horror 😭💔
I say go for all unrated for the saw series it has some good content that makes the story a bit easier to follow
I don’t like streaming because movies come and go, i’d rather buy a physical copy for 20 bucks rather than paying 20 and having nothing to show for it.
Movie suggestion for you it is a house with a clock and it's walls
Very nice;))
So glad I found your channel today you have an amazing collection so many good movies keep up the collecting
Sweet welcome to the channel!
You should check out the Wrong Turn series as well!
I definitely will at some point!
Awesome video........vhs/dvd collector
I know what you mean. I prefer having the actual DVD/blu-ray of stuff vs digital.
That said, have you ever seen the movie "The People Under The Stairs"? It's a Wes Craven movie from the early 90s and arguably one of my three favorites of his movies. I don't know if you've ever seen The Sandlot either, but one of the kids from that movie plays the main male kid character in TPUTS.
And I'll have to check out that D Pop website. Admittedly I'm one of those people who just really doesn't want their VHS movies anymore. Honestly, I need more space and their really just sitting their collecting dust. Might as well go to people who can put them to better use.
No I haven’t heard of that one actually thanks for the tip! And it’s called Depop it’s super user friendly and super easy to sell on there too. I’m sure people would be interested in getting some vhs tapes from ya!
The Final Destination is the forth one. Final Destination 5 is the last one.
I have final destination 1 2 3 4 5
She didn’t know
@@robloxisgood3639 I know I mean the title says that it's the final
@@robloxisgood3639 great I think
Awesome horror same I have @ need
Nice collection, i would highly recommend condensed boxed sets as oppose to individual dvd. You get more bang for your buck!
Yea box sets are pretty sweet but if I find it kind of fun to track them down individually while thrifting hahah
Me too phisical 👍
A really good horror movie it’s a horror comedy but the secret world of el super beast o it’s a rob zombie animated film it has characters from all of his horror movies and it combined with his comic of the same name it was just this massive cross over
I enjoy your update love movies your personally is great hope you are doing good 😌😌🙂😌👍
Thanks so much!
@@HauntedHippie your so welcome I enjoy some content yours is one of them alot
If you live in California there’s a dope video store in Claremont owned by a rhino Records recommend it helped me a lot with my collection and great prices
That's a pretty sweet film collection. The cover for Friday the 13th part 7 is awesome.
Weird question. Would you be interested in doing some voiceover for an upcoming video I'm making?
Right! What kind of video?
@@HauntedHippie An animation parodying the 'Middle Ground' videos by Jubilee, but it will be Horror Movie Killers vs Victims.
Seven is a good movie, definitely recommend to watch it on a rainy day 😁👍🎬
Sweet! I will :)
Watch out for jason
Knowing is awesome. You should check it out
i have over 1000 dvd's i have a lot of horror films i wish you lived in new zealand so we could share them
I like your horror movie content collection
horror is my fave genre u have quite a bundle of films
I do! I have another collection update coming next week too! 😂
@@HauntedHippie look forward to seeing it
Based on your movie collection you would really like all the "I Spit On Your Grave" movies👍
Ooh I can’t stand rape but maybe I can just fast forward through the beginning of the movie hahah
Kylie Roseanne I’m going to be honest. I Spit on Your Grave is really a dichotomy. On one hand, when she gets her revenge on her predators in the end, you feel so justified. It feels like those guys got what they deserved.
But the rape is the absolute hardest thing I ever sat through. It is very uncomfortable even for me to watch.
So I offer you this disclaimer. That movie is not like other horror movies at all. I can watch zombies ripping people apart all day, but I have a really hard time watching this.
You are better off watching The Last House on the Left. The premise is very similar. The narrative structure and resolution are virtually the same, but they don’t explicitly exploit and prolong the violation the way I Spit on Your Grave does.
@@richardstange5939 Okay thank you for the pointers! Good lookin out
Where did you buy the Psycho dvd? I watched that movie only a few days ago and really moved it.
I got it at a Goodwill in my town! It was a very lucky find
Really you have all the saw movies. My. Mom. Says. That. I've. Watched. Saw and I'm. Only. 7 years old. Hahahaha
You should check out The Texas chainsaw Massacre - the 2002 one. And even the prequel that came out 4 years later was good. House of wax 2005 is very under reated ... got bad scores only because paris hilton was in it. invasion of the bodysnatchers 1978 is really creepy. The Thing 1982 is fab. Mirrors 2008 with Kiefer Sutherland ... and another film he was in you gotta check out is Lost Boys 1987. Not a typical horror ... its like fright night 1985 - kind of a mix of genres.
I love the house of wax sequel, so goofy and fun! And great gore. The Thing is also amazing. I’ll have to check out all the rest!
Oh yeah, I am all about physical media. I am the same way with music. For my movie collection, I usually buy DVDs. I never buy Blu Ray. I don't get the obsession people have with Blu Rays. They are way to expensive and they don't have that much better quality than DVD. I do from time to time buy VHS's when I see them for cheap of movies that I really like or movies that I have never seen before, it's a good and cheap way for me to see them. I do the same thing with DVDs. I usually buy them from Half Price Books stores and Disc Replays because they have a buy 3 get 3 free for DVDs. I should try Good Will sometime, I never think to go there. I have probably over 100 horror movie DVDs and I still have a lot on my want list. I spend way less money on my movies than people think. I only have 6 VHS's: I have 2 copies of the original Halloween, The Empire Strikes Back, the original Phantom of the Opera, and 2 movies you may not have heard of, House of Usher and Madhouse, both Vincent Price movies. I remember watching Zathura on Cartoon Network when it came out. Good times. Oh PLEASE DON'T WATCH THE COLLECTOR!! It's not ad bad movie, but it is insanely violent and hard to watch. And bonus, if you are wanting to check out some more 90s horror, check out the remake of Night of the Living Dead from 1990. It blows the original out of the water!
Oh boy yea idk if the collector will be for me. But thanks for sharing all the shopping tips!! And thanks for the recommendation!
I haven’t watched the collector but I’ve watched the collection which is the sequel & it was a really good movie
As a horror fan I'm not a fan of The Final Destination movies I like the concept we cant cheat death. I don't like the story or characters. That concept for a horror movie has so much more potential to be done in a better horror movie.
I will agree that a lot of the characters are annoyingly stereotypical 2000s tropes. I enjoy them more as comedies than horror movies haha
@@HauntedHippie Lot of people like them but not for me. One franchise that is not going in my blu ray dvd collection.
You said that saw six is Saw 4 IV is 4 VI is 6
Those eyes ☺
Would you be/are you open to silent films, there are some great horror films from the silent period.
Yea! I’ve just never known where to find movies that came out earlier than the 50s
Kylie Roseanne There is a US company called Kino Lorber, they do alot of good silent stuff.
I have lots huge movie dvd collection
I watched zoolander last night
Yeah thrift shops are pretty cool actually. But I’m just curious, why do you settle for DVD? Blu rays are pretty damn cheap these days. I’m guessing it’s because thrift shops usually have way more DVDs than Blu Rays. You can find some Blu Ray gems in pawn shops, unless you got something against pawn shops lol. Guessing your not an amazon person either. Yeah I was just curious cause I would never buy a DVD over Blu Ray unless I had no other choice.
On films that weren’t shot in 4K which is most of them, it doesn’t matter whether or not you get a blu ray because the quality will be the same. So I don’t mind dvds. I try to get blu rays for all new releases and movies released in the last 3-4 years because now most films are actually shot in 4K and it’s worth the extra money
@@HauntedHippie do you mean old movies that were actually shot on film? If that’s what you mean then doesn’t the transfer quality affect if it looks better on Blu? There’s some really bad looking dvds out there as far as transfer quality.
I prefer to own my favorites. I have all of the NoES, Friday, and Halloween movies on VHS. Showing my age there, lol. I got them when they came out, haha.
Wow those collections are probably pretty valuable then!
@@HauntedHippie Some of them for sure but I couldn't see them. They were my first dive into collecting things lol
Saw iv she doesn't have it and saw 7 and saw 8
knowing makes me depressed lmao
Oh! Haha
Kylie, rank your favorite horror franchise's.
Ooh good idea
On my Instagram you should see my horror collection.
I like a lot The Last Exorcism, but the sequel is pure trash!
Knowing is a weird movie...
Nice collection! I hope it will grow!
Till this day, September 20th, I have exactly 819 dvd movies (I have a list on my computer haha), not including dvd music shows, BBC/National Geographic documentaries, some series, and other stuff.
Wow! I hope my collection eventually fills an entire library in my house some day
everyone hates on FD 4…😂
you should do a review or reaction reaction to trick r treat
Ok! I haven’t seen that one
Will you marry me?😉
Some more under-rated horror gems that you should check out:
American Psycho
Mr. Brooks
Session 9
The Beast Within
I'm taken but thanks for the offer lol! Cool, I haven't seen those movies yet!
I have a
I love you baby 😍
Knowing is terrible in my opinion
You inspired me to start me own collection and I only have around 10 movies so far but I just wanted to say I found a final destination set with 1 2 and 3 at Walmart for only 5 dollars!!!😂
Oh nice!! I really need to check Walmart, they have great deals
Kylie Roseanne yes they do!!
Seven is in my Top 10 movies of all time! I love it!
Hell yea I’m glad I picked a winner!
Awesome pickups . That's happened to me before when thrifting at a thrift store with the disc's no being in there or the wrong movie is in the case. :(
Same but I always check to make sure the disk is in there AND that it’s not scratched. But for whatever reason I didn’t do it that time. Luckily everything else I bought there was in its case and in good condition!
Dnt play yrself, zoolander is a fkn masterpiece
Checkout goodwill store I bought a bunch of movies like The Edge starring Anthony Hopkins, Signs ,Evolution, a triple pack movie for 3 bucks it has Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Chasing Amy . I also bought movie Untraceable
If you end up liking Last House on the Left. Try out I Spit On Your Grave from the 70s
Jurastic Punk would make a good name for a punk rock band. The Jurastic Punks
i love collecting physical media as well i have a great horror collection.
That's cool u thrifted a lot of movies lol thats how I get mine
I'm shy ? - Camera shy ? ....of course you are ?
Scream for 4$😬 I gat my all 3 for only 12.99$ together on blue ray
Soo you paid over $4 for each movie haha
Very amazing reaction 👌
Your last collection video is how I found your channel! Just started working on my own collection from local thrift shops and goodwill it’s so much fun :)
Oh hell yea! Right I absolutely love thrifting
Nice movies 🖤
Love your channel! Thanks for the shout out! Great collection!! keep physical movies alive!
Aw thank you!! I’ll definitely have to order from you again soon!!
Keep making great videos! You should do a review of all the scream movies
@@hannawackervideo2322 I'm thinking of doing that soon! I might do one long video sort of reviewing the whole franchise but I also kind of want to give it its own series hahah
Fantastic review finds update and haul
Thanks!!
Hey Kylie I absolutely love your horror movie videos and you have some pretty cool horror movie titles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am loving your red bangs they look really cool and beautiful on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your youtube videos make me very happy :)
Hi Kylie I’m a horror movie phreak and I’ve been collecting dvds for 20 years.Have you seen Ghosts of Mars?Great flick I have it on vhs I recommend it.Also thirteen ghosts is good too.My absolute favourite is Gone in sixty seconds love love love it.Btw you are stunning but u probably get told this everyday.I just also bought final destination 5 pack blu rays.Greetings from Melbourne Australia.
Cool update
Ohmygoshhh Big f about S2 of The Office! Something really similar happened to me when I purchased F13 Part 4! When I opened it a few weeks later it had F13 dvd and not F13 part 4 ;-;-;-;-; My boyfriend bought me Part 4!
Also!!! I recently watched Zoolander for the first time at the weekend 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Also I’d be careful watching Last House On House because it has r*pe scenes in it. I couldn’t finish it.
Ugh nooooo why do so many horror movies have to have rape there are so many movies I can’t watch
I've uploaded a video of my horror DVD collection Jamie Lee Curtis is amazing I got to meet her
What was the web site you mentioned again?
Depop!
@@HauntedHippie Thanks and stay cool.
*whisper* THE Final Destination IS part 4
Ah but because I ignore part 4, the fifth one therefore becomes THE final destination lol
To save you some time in the near future you should use this same logic and ignore Elm Street 6, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare and just label 7, Wes Craven's New (Final) Nightmare. 6 is the closest thing you'll get to a live action horror cartoon and Mr K deserves so much more (which he gets in 7).
Chris Thompson Aw man the 6th one is the next one I have to watch and I was already kinda disappointed by part 5 hahah
6 is also brutally 90s. It's the perfect time capsule of everything that was oh-so wrong about that otherwise cool decade, aka my childhood. Also, you may have heard rumours that a remake of the original exists, but yeah your life will be a happier place if you just ignore them and move on to the Child's Play movies or something.
I get all my horror movies from charity shops it’s a British version of thrift shop
The SAW unrated cuts are not a big difference from the original Allso I ran in to the saw collection and I didn’t have the money Now I’m going to every thrift store and I found 2 already
Good to know! Nice!! Thrift stores are amazing
You should get the creep show movies to your collection !
Holy Shit! Great Collection. I'm working on mines as well and I've been collecting since about 2017. Btw, the first video of your I saw was your collection video 👍👍😂😂🥳🥳
Oh nice!! And yea that's weirdly my most popular video haha. Thank you :) I just can't believe I hit the jackpot in every store lol
Hey I'm just starting out with a collection of horror movies and so far I have been building it for a few weeks and already have like 30 or so great titles and a few of the classics in there such as hostel, Jaws and so on. I'm glad to find someone passionate about collecting horror movies. Any tips?
Oh that's awesome! I personally have found the best items on Depop but the thrift stores in my area are also super nice. You can also find GREAT titles for way cheap on ebay. I just got a couple movies on there for about $5 each including shipping. I have another collection video coming up in a few weeks and I'll explain where I found everything!
Yeah I understand where your coming from when you say shop thrift stores but yeah at the moment I have been getting movies from a tech shop called JB HIFI. I'm not sure if ya know of it. Might just be an Aussie thing but anyways they have been having great deals on brand new DVDs. A few weeks ago I picked up 19 movies for $80 so that's good. They have this sale on at the moment where if you buy 2 U get 1 free. So I have been grabbing all the movies packs that count as 1 but have like the complete collection of whatever the titles may be. Like for instance I got the purge complete set (4 movies) hostel 1,2,3 as a pack and rec 1234 as a pack and only paid like 40 dollars because it out counted as 2 movies and get 1 free. So yeah but I understand where your coming from and I will start shopping cheaper at a shop we have here where movies are like $1-$20 so yeah. Just a little ocd and like buying new lol 🤣 but yeah thanks for replying and I look forward to more vids. Maybe do a vid on movie sets to track down and get. More bang for ya Buck kinda thing.
Can't beat going to thrift stores (Charity shops here in the UK where I am). The amount of DVDs I have bought from them is unreal
Yea I've collected almost a quarter of my collection from thrift stores! I'm trying to buy all my movies second-hand now!
@@HauntedHippie I still buy brand new but will still go for second hand
I warn you when you watch SAW you may wanna watch it cautiously because boy is the gore and guts is crazy 🤯🤯
I know it must be, I won’t be ready for it but maybe* I should do a reaction or something for the first one lol
It's gore but that ending is pure gold
