I too have an extensive DVD/Blu-Ray collection. Watching this video makes me so happy im not the only person in the world who still collects physical media. #longlivephysicalmedia
I just finished watching "The Ring" because you can't stop talking about it :P. What a great movie! Thx for recommending it. It has been 10++ years that i watched it for the first time. I did not remember a whole lot and it was a blast
The Ring was the first time I actually sat to watch a horror movie in my entire life. I was 10! It left me traumatized, I couldn’t sleep well for a month, and if someone as much as mentioned Samara’s name, I’d freak out in fear lmao I’d been interested in horror ever since 6 or 7, but I’d never have the guts to watch a horror movie before The Ring! It still means so much to me because of that. (Sorry for randomly ranting I guess)
I don’t even watch horror that much. But I’m subscribed to this channel and watch all your videos because I just enjoy hearing you talk! Lol. I know, weird. I love the tier videos!
Very nice and rich collection and I see here some of my personal favorites such as The Village, District 9, The Mist, Mrs Douptfire, Home Alone, The Wolf of Wall Street, Seven,The Shining, Shutter Island and and Joker. I'm not too into horror as I'm more focused on more artistic and poetic cinema, films that navigate various social issues and like to explore the cinema of different countries. Also I watch films from silent era to the new ones and trying to go to theaters. Fro. from time to time I appreciate a funny comedy (unfortunately the most difficult genre to find good stuff), a good fantasy, thriller or super hero films. Horror is the last in preference and is not easy for a horror film to amaze me but of course this genre has gave interesting stuff too - among my favorite are The Shining, the Nosferatu : a symphony of horror by Murnau, my favorite on Dracula (German expressionism is my favorite style for horror/fantasy), The last man on Earth with Vincent Price, the Korean Thirst, unsettling at times but is so well made so I count it as one of the best on vampires, The Birds by Hitchcock and The Mist. Note : I'm more into psychological, gothic or sci fi horror and can't stand gore and spatter. I agree Scary stories to tell in the dark is a good and descent films in the genre. Most of horror are mediocre or bad films (I hate Saw, Final Destination and Hellraser series and The Orphan was a really negative experience) but of course that's a personal opinion and when people find them enjoyable let's have a good time with them, just not my cup of tea.
i have a big black shelf that looks exactly like this but it’s all together instead of 3 separate ones. this made me wanna go watch a movie! i’m a movie collector too.
The Conjuring. I love that movie so much. When I saw the first time it was the first movie that made me jump as an adult the way I did for movies when I was a kid. When I was young movies like Poltergeist, The Amityville Horror and The Exorcist really got me... but then I grew up and nothing grabbed me or scared me anymore. Until I saw The Conjuring.
This makes me miss my old DVD collection. Me & my husband used to have a huge collection after hitting all the Blockbusters in our area that were closing. But we've downsized a lot over the years. I kind of regret it lol.
My Billy bookshelves from IKEA came with a little metal thing that you can use to attach the various bookshelves to each other so they don't have a gap.
This is really helpful, because although I haven't watched many horror movies since the late 2000s... finding your channel recently started a rabbithole until I ended up reading about horror movies helping anxiety. So I'm going to try to get back into them :)
I love that you have Pulse, Disturbia and White Noise. They are so underappreciated. I'm surprised that you don't own Drag Me To Hell. You should also check out The House of the Devil, I think it would align well with your tastes.
I love how much you are enjoying your new space! Great lighting and you can really tell how much you love and having a fun time making home content!! Also ps more food (veg and vegan) is my vote because I am growing a garden and need great simple recipes for veg summer!! 🖤
Hey Sarah awesome and epic DVD Tour/Collection video I absolutely loved and enjoyed it, you're videos always satisfy me and put a smile on my face + I also really love your style with the Horror decorations and t-shirts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a huge & massive Blu-ray/DVD Collection as well!!! Can't wait to see more exciting videos from you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always be cool and wonderful :)
Xbox One S and Xbox One X can stream video 4K video, play 4K UHD discs and play games in 4K. So start buying either movies only on Blu-Ray(a DvD is usually added) or 4K UHD discs(a Blu-Ray is usually added). DvD is a 22 year old format, Blu-Ray is a 12 year old format, UHD is a few years old format. In 2 years, 8K TV's will be common.
This is an amazing collection. I highly recommend older movies on Blu Ray though. 35mm film has a higher resolution than 4k. I really dont want you to miss out on that natural film grain and those little details DVD just cant deliver on. DVD and streaming are great, but Blu looks amazing, especially with older movies. I think youd love it. The Criterion "Night Of The Living Dead"? One of the best transfers I've ever seen.
You could either drill and anchor the two shelves together, or you could get some 3M sticky stuff whether thats a bunch of tape, Velcro, etc. to get them to stay together, make sure you look at the weight limits if you go the 3M way.
I kinda like the stickers and such on used products sometimes. It shows the item had a life, so to speak. It shows other people used and enjoyed it, and maybe one day when your done with it someone will notice a mark you left on the item and wonder about it. Unless you're me, the kind of person who uses something until it's totally broken and simply needs to be replaced.
Sarah, if you haven’t already seen them, I think you should watch Let The Right One In and I Saw The Devil! I watched them today because they’re the two highest rated horror movies on Hulu rn and they were incredible! Both foreign w/ subtitles though.
This was so satisfying, and you reminded me that I need One Hour Photo in my collection! I had to stop and go buy it so I didn't forget. Such a good movie! 💚
I'm surprised you don't have Ginger Snaps at all! Such a great comfort movie. I think if you like YA dystopia, that you might like The Maze Runner series because it was pretty good and they have a pretty solid cast. Also, I cannot tell you the joy I had seeing Home Room in your collection! I feel like no one ever talks about it and that movie has haunted me since I first saw it and the speech at the end? Makes me cry every single time. Oh! And "zombie" movies with a kind of original twist and being vegetarian, you might not like the opening, but Cooties was really good and a very different kind of zombie situation, and it has Elijah Wood.
Awesome video Sarah! It's always so cool to look at people's collections. Love that you organised it by subgenre/category. I organise mine by label if they're from a boutique label and if they're not by alphabet. I think my favourite movie you own is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre
I really like how you organized your dvd's. I have ideas for you to add if you'd like. In your section with Cabin Fever, you can add Cabin Fever 2, The Catacombs, The Decent 1,2. The Doctor sleep section is a sequel to the Shining. The Space movie section, add 2001 a space odyssey. The water section, Deep Blue Sea 1-3, the Meg. For the Zombie Section add the Resident Evil movies. Next to Get out should be the movie "US".
Silent Hill Revelation came from Washington, that's the county library system where I live. Pierce County library system also helped feed my horror obsession as a kid (although it was VHS back then) and I rented out all the classic universal monster movies and Alfred Hitchcock movies.

Okay, you seem like the PERFECT person to ask this question! My brother watched a horror movie a few years ago, and we cannot figure out what it was called. We’ve spent hours (yes, hours) googling it 😂 It was basically about a guy who lived in what we think was the hills outside LA, and he had a basement where some people were locked up. I think he mentioned that there was a blue room, and he thinks there was a crane or something in one of the rooms, lol. Basically a cop ends up going out to the property and the man who owns it kills him, and we’re not totally sure how it ended. I know that was all super vague, but I figure maybe you or one of your fans may have seen it and/or can help us figure out what it is!
Throwing some information about Evangelion here just in case you didn't know : the two movies you have (Evangelion 1:11 and 2:22) are from the reboots saga and if you haven't watched the original anime and movie it can be very confusing since there's also 3:33 and 3:0+1:0 (the last one) that just came out in japan and closes the reboots saga ! The reboots are good but i highly suggest anyone to first watch the original franchise, and there is a specific order to watch everything : - you need to start with the 25ep anime Neon Genesis Evangelion (the last 2 eps are metaphoric but don't worry it's normal) and then watch the movie The End of Evangelion - there's a movie called Death (True)2 that is just a sum up of the 25eps, it can be useful to watch it before watching The End of Evangelion if you're a bit confused after the 25eps bc there's a lot going on but otherwise you can totally skip it - finally if you liked everything, you can watch the reboots, things start to change from the orginial franchise towards the end of the second movie you'll quickly see why even if it still sticks to the original storyline

The random "this is my plant Peter" line had me laughing waaaay too long lmao.
Lol me too
🅱️eter
I'm glad I'm not the only person to organize my movie collection by personally designed categories. It's way more fun than alphabetical order.
Yeah same
These videos are so satisfying to me
I too have an extensive DVD/Blu-Ray collection. Watching this video makes me so happy im not the only person in the world who still collects physical media. #longlivephysicalmedia

It’s good but the original is excellent with a real haunting atmosphere you should give it a go.
The Ring was the first time I actually sat to watch a horror movie in my entire life. I was 10! Same haha
movies with only one sequel section: Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane
Cloverfield Paradox: *am i a joke to you*
Let's just forget about that movie
Also only two friday movies.
I love your style with the decorations. The Ring polaroid, The Thing VHS tape and the Harry Potter wands look awesome on your shelf.
Peter. The Flower. Remember. Remember.
the little Ring shrine is the cutest omg!
Hate to have to admit this but i’ve been a horror fan for years yet have only just started my DVD collection. Brings me joy to see yours ❤️
Also love your Robin Williams crossover - I own most of his, he’s my hero 🦸♂️
I know for a fact imma see The Ring here! 😂😂
possibly an entire shrine 😏
I already see it in the background 😆
@@PossessedbyHorror will you be seeing spiral from the book of saw😈
@@PossessedbyHorror I saw that! That’s where I’m at right now
I LOVE One Hour Photo. Saw it at the theater 3 times. I just can’t get enough of it

white claws and lego harry potter - literally me and my boyfriends entire quarantine lol

Hi Peter! You look big and healthy. Proud of you, fam. And to possesed by horror, thanks for all the hard work you put into this video!
This video has triggered my "Everything must be arranged alphabetically" OCD. Lol
I’m so sorry I could never 😅
@@PossessedbyHorror Hahaha. 😄 Great collection, btw. 👍👌
Awesome to see someone, who still cares about DVDs 😊

Nice collection. I like collecting slipcase blu ray horror. Some get pretty expensive. But they go up in price. After a few years.
I just started collecting Arrow Video.

The video I've been waiting for! I love your way of organising, I do the same thing where I make up my own personal categories that make sense to me.
Its a crime that you didn't mention "Easy A" the best teen comedy in the early 2010's
"She has a boy in her room"
*gasp* "a boy?"
"A boy"
"A boy?"
"A boy"
"Hmmmmm."
I refuse to own any DVDs nowadays and now I'm getting the same sense with Blu-Rays. 4k is where it's at. 😏
I wish I could go to your library and watch every single movie I’ve never watched 😭😭 there’s something about putting a dvd in
Okay, you seem like the PERFECT person to ask this question! My brother watched a horror movie a few years ago, and we cannot figure out what it was called. I really love watching your videos, so fun to watch! Looking forward for more of your vids!
Also you need to watch My Hero Academia, it’s on its 5th season and it’s very good!
"we are by my backdoor here" me: lololololol
I love Dvds..Have alot myself..Like your set up. Came out really nice. Those sea movies awesome..Havent seen Triangle or Crawl..Will look into them..
..... ohhhh Escape Room is getting a sequel? Exciting. Escape Room was a guilty pleasure but fun watch.
My favourite that you own is Dredd. Favourite horror that you own is Insidious. It used to be The Ring before that :)
My favorites are catching fire and terrifier. 🤗
Great collection. Nicely displayed and organized✔✔👌
The reboots are good but i highly suggest anyone to first watch the original franchise, and there is a specific order to watch everything :
- you need to start with the 25ep anime Neon Genesis Evangelion (the last 2 eps are metaphoric but don't worry it's normal) and then watch the movie The End of Evangelion
- there's a movie called Death (True)2 that is just a sum up of the 25eps, it can be useful to watch it before watching The End of Evangelion if you're a bit confused after the 25eps bc there's a lot going on but otherwise you can totally skip it
- finally if you liked everything, you can watch the reboots, things start to change from the orginial franchise towards the end of the second movie you'll quickly see why even if it still sticks to the original storyline
i am actually also a huge harry potter fan as well as horror. Good to know you have great taste
Nice collection. Keep adding to it!
Some of my favorite movies that you have are Interstellar, Aliens, The Thing, Mrs. Doubtfire, Willy Wonka,
I buy alot of used movies too from Ebay and libraries. Keep your eyes on the Dollar Tree they have been getting some really good movies.
I NEED THIS COLLECTION IN MY LIFE ❤️
3:16 I was going to joke and say, "Is that tall yellow art piece the A24 Midsommar release? ". Hah.. It turns out, it actually is. I never saw that side of it
I watched mama when I was like 6 and it scared me so much and I never watched scary movies again until I turned 16 and now I love them
Seeing Uncle Peckerhead in there made me so happy!
The clover field experiment, you need that too. If you like Damon, check out Hereafter if you haven’t seen it. And The Possession is one of my fav horror films.
V.H.S 2 is essential. Really good. Abc's of death 1 is killer also. Lots of great picks!
The Thing... one if my favorites!
Omg what??? Escape Room will have a sequel???!!!!
I saw this movie like 6 or 7 times when it was on Polish Netflix (it's gone now :C) and I feel you, it's a comfort movie for me somehow too. Also scary af, I love it so much :3
Yess the sequel looks good too by the trailer of it
