I'm an artisan.. carpentry, drywall taper/plasterer, painter..I have listened to PMG alot over the years.. saw him @ UMass still life talking tour.. outstanding... PMG 's music never fails to inspire.. great interview with Pat with Rick Beato on UA-cam also;( RIP Lyle 🎶🎶🎶)
For me it was his playing on Joni Mitchell's shadows & light. If this guitar player makes his own records they must be awesome. And after buying and playing Off ramp a couple of weeks. And I had just started discovering jazz and jazz-fusion before buying offramp which helped my interest grow. And in the summer of 1983 I was hooked.
i used to listen to this cassette over and over and over - so good. back then in LA 94.7 the WAVE was actually beautiful alternative sometimes "new age" music... now it's just slow r&b songs.... sad that there's no radio station that plays music like this (even on satellite radio) Pat Metheny, Mark Knoffler, so many great guitarists that get no airplay...

I've never heard the original sound track version. I agree with StargazingforJesus...I too have never heard such a variety of music on one track before. And I have been a great fan of the group's music for many years. Thanks for sharing.
