From Tom Brady to Peyton Manning to many more, find out which gridiron legends have shaped football history to the point of making this list. Also find out if Patrick Mahomes, who has accomplished more than almost anyone who ever lived in the first 7 years of his career, has done enough to make this list.

1. Aaron Rodgers-The most talented QB to play. Elevated everyone around him. Carried bad defenses, coaches and special teams on deep playoff runs constantly. Has a ring. Was virtually the best QB every season over his career. Maybe the best Deep ball ever. The best play extender not named Mahomes. Ability to balance aggressive throws with limiting turnovers is something no one comes close on. Football is a team sport, rings are taken into account but not anywhere near as important as the eye test and film analysis. Plus he has a ring, and the way people talk about him you would think he didn’t.
2-Tom Brady-The best winner and competitor of all time. Pocket sense and ability to read a defense is probably the best ever. Why is he lower than Rodgers? Rodgers has a better deep ball, stronger arm, better playmaker, faster, can extend plays and play out of structure better than Brady. Football is a team sport, Brady played with a great coach and great defenses and played in a weaker conference. That’s not taking anything away from a very talented QB that won with two organizations with a level of consistency that is unmatched. His 7 rings is a number that may never be matched.
3-Patrick Mahomes. Combines Brady’s ability to win with Rodgers raw talent. Will most likely be the greatest when he retires, combining the strengths of both the qbs afermentioned.
4-Dan Marino. He may have never won a ring, but he dominated in a way no QB had ever done before. Had one of the worst defenses year in and year out and still managed to win. Was Rodgers before Rodgers. Elevated everyone around him. Put up modern league type numbers in a time when that was unheard of.
5-Joe Montana-Close call for five but I lean Montana. Brady before Brady. Carved up defenses and won at a rate no one had seen before.
HM- Peyton Manning. The sheriff. One of the best ever. Didn’t have the strongest arm but probably the best ever at reading defenses and throwing with anticipation. Box stats were insane and won rings with two different organizations (even if the broncos one was his defense carrying him). Close between him and Montana, would not fault anyone if he was as high as 3 on this list.
