I am new to boxing and am trying out the Peek-a-boo style. I have got to grips using the videos and help on the punches. But I still confused on the footwork. Do you the next Tutorial on the footwork of the Peek-a-boo style. As I find footwork to be the hardest to get right. Really love the video's keep them up!
Today was my first day of peekaboo style (learning through youtube through many channels) i have a blue eye for the first time in 4 years of training (used to do usual orthodox stance), all i can say its too complicated to understand alone with no direct live coaching, and its gonna make you get hit so much, plus its super tiring, but i have to say i'm in for it till the end until i learn everything if i can and i will stick to it because i loved the challenge in it. Btw the guy i was sparring got hit the most with hooks, thia style opens more angles for hooks. The problem is footwork and combinations its complicated, the orthodox style is so simple i just love this one because its perfect for tallet guys.
@WideAwakeism learning boxing will be one of the best decisions you take in life. As for the peekaboo style I am way way better but let's face it, if you don't have a coach to teach you everything in it you'll wate a lot of time. But the orthodox style is easy to learn and to stick with.
Mr. Hadley a big big thank for thise videos. Its very informative. And this style is great. I box in the classical stance. And get alot of overhand rights coming my way. But when i try and spar in the peekaboo stance with the bobbing weaving and slipping i get het hit way less. Only thing now is i somehow get caught always with the uppercut when i slip left. Anyhow! Big thank you. I hope more people realise what a great style that is and what tremendous work you doing by keeping it alive.
Love this channel definitely will be good to incorporate these drills into my boxing. I've watched tapes of Joe louis, Bruce Lee, Tyson etc just to learn more and more efficient ways of fighting in the ring. I'm a big proponent of the peeka boo style
Hey! When you infight, do you plant your feet or do you stand on the balls of your feet? My gym doesn’t have anyone who fights peekaboo style so I can’t really get my questions answered there
Nice. I use the pulling down on the glove as well, I wouldn't say I invented it because its a modified form of wing chun trapping brought over to boxing, it was discovered to be effective in curtain situations like up against the ropes, Bruce Lee used it in his Jeet Kune Do. Its a really good technique when trained and used with the right timing, but it was invented in the 1700's by Chinese martial artists. Great videos though, I watched them all.
Great work coach , thank you. But this : " I invented this nobody else has ever done it before " isn't true. I learnt that when I was 15 ( 7 years ago ) from my boxing coach here in greece. He learnt it many years ago by his coach back in the old days of boxing. I use it all the time , it is a great technique. I think most boxers know about this. It is really helpful for me because I fight with peek-a-boo style and when I get in after slipping and do this , my right hand goes right through their jaw. Btw thanks for your videos , you really help me evolve my peek-a-boo
Shifting focus of the channel on other projects. I’ll leave these tutorials up. But I’ll be taking a hiatus from boxing videos. I currently live in Northern California so there’s no way for me to make more for now.
That hand-moving guard disruption is exactly what Lomachenko does in his fights. It IS a proven technique, Coach. Nice place, there.
seen mike doing it as well
It is common technique in Wing Chun, it is called trapping. Very good in close combat
Love your work sir. Those young gentlemen are lucky to have you as their teacher. Keep fighting the good fight.
02:20 Vasyl Lomachenko does this too
Coach, u need to make more videos. Thanks for the gems you have here.

You learnt it 7 years ago this guy was boxing 25 years ago where he said he used it in his fights.

why did you leave Memphis Judo & Jiu-Jitsu: MMA Memphis boxing?
Brazil Fã!
Cuss D'Amato was a master at boxing
👍

I'm a 6'2 guy, do u think i can be effective using this style ? The peak a boo stance fells a lot confortable and balanced for me
Rafael Guilherme Cruz im 6,1 and it works for me
It works best for those who are short, I'm the same as Tyson standing at 5'10-5'11
If you have a long reach , try using that to your advantage.
I mean.. he might have invented hand trapping.

Get a motorcycle tire and then have each fighter keep a foot inside it.
