I was born in Morgantown WV and I’m so glad you talked about so many more places than just Point Pleasant! Don’t get me wrong, I love the Mothman! But WV has such an interesting history and the ghosts to go with it! I didn’t even know about most of these myself!! Thank you for your great work!
I live in WV.. my brother and cousin were chased out of the woods by as they described it as a red devil sitting in a tree.. it jumped down and chased them.. they both saw it and was uncontrollable when they came running out..these hills aren't all safe
Thanks to checking out this upload @asmrmysticalangel968. That sounds like a pretty terrifying experience! Have you gotten the chance to explore any of these sites yourself?
Grew up in Roanoke Va 2 hotels are haunted. I worked at Hotel Roanoke experienced something so I went to the book store and found a book about another hotel - Patrick Henery which changed hands was remolded and maybe renamed. Moved away yrs ago idk.but it was a hotel run by a family in 50's - 70 's sold reminded back then .Family use to live there. It was a hotel frequented by airline employees and they had stories of ghosts in the hotel. 1 room ppl report ghosts coming down stairs that no longer existed after 1970's remodeling and ghosts same room walking threw walls.the book was found at Books a Million store before they closed
Thanks so much for sharing that @MarySpain1958! We love hearing about our listeners experiences. Have you been to any of these other haunted sites in WV?
Hotel Roanoke is awesome, I've been there twice to stay for work things and I haven't noticed anything. But it's a big building, don't take my word for it!
I am surprised when you were in Gettysburg that you didn't go to Gettysburg College which is quite haunted, my Daughter graduated from Gettysburg College and she and many of her classmates had haunting experiences on campus.
Thanks for checking out this upload @patriciayohn6136. Do you remember any specifics of these haunting experiences you heard about that you can share with us?
I do remember two experiences that my Daughter told me about. One involved an orb in a Frat house one campus early in the morning and the other involved a sighting by my Daughter and a few fellow cross country teammates on the battlefield while practing after dark when they experienced Civil War soldiers along their running path. She also had a witness to the orb at the time.
The asylum in the 30s caught on fire, many lost their lives, they just added on. Our friend who is a sheriff hauls passed it, it could be sunny, and over there dark. A little girl Sally lost her young life..
Shawnee Lake the land was my 8th great grandfather is William Mitchell Clay Sr. Property. His son Mitchell is my 7th great grandfather his daughter is my 6th Grandmother on my dad side.
We went to Lake Shawnee as kids. I never knee at the time it was haunted. We used to go out on the water and smoke weed. Once we tipped it and I saved the bag and we recovered. We did a lot of stupid stuff back then.😅
Thanks for checking out this video @Mithras444. I think there are a lot of us who did some "stupid" things as kids! Have you visited any of these other haunted sites in WV?
The reason for the hate of men in the asylum was because men were allowed to take women in their family and sign them in for any reason.. pms..weight gain, sad etc.. and the woman, healthy women, could never leave unless the person who signed her signed her out.. so if the person died that signed her in she spent her life there
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @brandyduncan392. That is so cool! Have you gotten a chance to visit Dadisman Hall or heard of anything spooky there?
