Little bit of a different style video for this post. I hope you all enjoy this possibly new format for the channel along with our 2023/2024 reviews on games. Hopefully got 3 more videos coming out this year for you!
I’m a huge baby when it comes to playing horror games but I enjoy watching people play them so it’s like watching a choose your own adventure horror movie. And the indie horror games usually are so good at hitting the super creep factor
For a horror game to be scary, there needs to be a pressure from this chilling threat or an eerie feeling of paranoia that it will pop up at any moment. Atmosphere definitely helps and a bit of weird unsolved story will help too.
i feel, on a personal level, that loud jumpscares are cheap, those always got me; now the silent one, like when you turn around and for a fraction of a second you see a movement of something that encourage you to either investigate it or gtfo running, i prefer those, those lure you in, when the loud one are just "BOO haha got you"
I love seeing the lesser known I die games. Horror games are a very Special category which does not get enough love. I like the new form of video though. Hope to see more like this. Thank you!
I really enjoy watching streamers play these indie horror games. They always feel like little cupcakes. Not to long but not to short. Great video as always.
8:29 this. When you have chinchillas, you walking to the bathroom and they make their sounds in the middle of the night (they are nocturnal animals, so...). Even worse, when they make their sounds, but you're don't have chinchillas.
There's so many INCREDIBLE horror games that are doing things that AAA horror refuses to do. I played Signalis last year and it felt like such a breath of fresh air for my classic resident evil riddled brain. Also CONGRATS ON THE SPONSORSHIP!
Also not necessarily full on horror but definitely horror themed, I highly suggest El Paso Elsewhere. It's very inspired by the original 2 Max Payne games and is INCREDIBLE.
I'm sorry for making a comment unrelated to the video, but this was the only other place I could think to ask: What happened to the "I Just Spawned" song from like 10-ish years back? Can literally only find it on SoundCloud now :(
I would love to get into horror games but I have a hard enough time moving forward when things get a little tense in things like Portal... I think the closing argument of "this is going to be scary," has turned me away from some real gems in the Indie scene. I wish I had more of a backbone to get to these
Yo... do it, talk about all the horror games you have played and the ones you love... ill try to hit you up on the DM's for an idea i want to do, i want to see if it works for you

As an absolute horror snob, I love these type of videos. Thanks for showcasing a bunch of lesser known games that could use the exposure!
Glad you enjoyed!

I love a good tense eerie feeling
I think SOMA does this very well, in its own way. Check it out!
You just described Signalis.
With the fnaf movie just coming out it really shows how far the indie horror scene has come
Super true. Still blows my mind that we got that.

I love a silent and deadly game. I want to feel uncomfortable the entire time. But only for a short experience, not hours on hours of playtime.

Appreciate you checking it out. I'm going to be doing a kinda like 2 - 1 ratio. The usual stuff in a row then a new idea to see what happens.
@@MrSaviorHD can't wait to see what's next!!!!
Detention (game before Devotion) is one of the best Silent Hill inspired adventure games I've played.
I really enjoy watching streamers play these indie horror games. They always feel like little cupcakes. Not to long but not to short. Great video as always.

Hey gamer!
That video is unlisted. I still have it but long story short, copyright blah blah. So unlisted.
Thanks for hanging around all these years.
@@MrSaviorHD music companies suck :(

Only thing it reminds me of is Finley. Its a comedy horror thing on UA-cam
Indie games are carrying the horror genre!
