They were such great days when we had so many great locos working the Inter City trains.
Reading was one of the first station I visited when I got into the hobby of taking the number, and I remember seeing the prototype HST and lots of Western locos plus class 45s 47s 50s.
      Thanks for watching mate.

Haven't seen this station in more years than i care to remember. Way back in the 50's we lived in Catherine street which is not far from the station. My dad and I were both born in Battle Hospital which i have been told is no longer there. Got lots of lovely memories of this area of Reading.

Absolutely brilliant!! All I can say is wow!! Absolutely terrific! Another tremendous video! Cracking shots and captures there! Loved 60055 and the doubleheaded 59! Looks like a brilliant station, loads of action! Job well done as well! Excellent in every shape or form! Fantastic camera work and detail as usual! What a great way to spend your 3 hours there! Loved the DB TnT as well, wonder why that was. A perfect example of why I recommend your excellent channel! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Keep up the fabulous work!

Well, I just spotted this video, you are making the Reading area interesting again. To me, Reading meant Huntley & Palmers and Reading Corporation Trolleybuses. Being originally a Windsorian, Reading was my County Town, loved also for it's Thames Valley Traction and Smiths of Reading Coaches. All of those mentioned, can never be replaced, but your video's will ignite my interest in the Reading area again.
I now live in Brighton, which is nothing like Reading at all, so I have subscribed to your channel, to keep a link to dear Reading. I viewed all of the comments, so realise that you have gone through a few worries recently, so be strong and never give up.

Thank you for subbing my channel, and I hope you find another video which might interest you in the coming weeks as I normally upload a video every few days from somewhere around the country. Have a good day in Brighton. Cheers Mike.

The class 66 has a EMD 710 1990s era engine which was new when fitted. It is higher geared in order to pull lighter inter-modal freight trains faster.
