Tioram Castle - Loch Moidart - Scotland | 4K | DJI Mini2

Tioram Castle is located on small tidal island in Loch Moidart, which is dividing Andramurchan peninsula from the rest of Lochaber area. This bay is surrounded by picturesque hills and its banks are covered with thick, mostly evergreen forest. That gives the castle unique and magical surrounding which brings to mind fairytales and fantasy stories.
Castle is dated back to XII century and for most of that time it was a seat of Clan MacDonald of Clanranald. It is currently closed to public and its future is sadly uncertain, despite relatively good condition of the masonry. Access to the island is possible, however it can be covered by water during high tides.
Car park is located close to the causeway and is quite big, but also busy in the season. There is also a great circular trail starting from there called Silver Walk.
