  • Gamo Swarm Viper .22 cal verses the Umarex Emerge .22 caliber. Both are multi shot break barrels. Both are .22 caliber. And they are about the same price. So, who is the champion of the multi-shot break barrel? The GAMO Viper or the Umarex Emerge? Watch and see!

    Bought the Gamo Viper a couple weeks ago. 8 out of 10 for me. Pros- lightweight, well-made, quiet- you can shoot this pretty much anywhere, decent scope, mag design is awesome! Cons- cant take off front lens cap without breaking the barrel, rail mount & scope mount are fixed so you can only move scope itself, safety to close to trigger; wish theyd remove it from trigger-well all together, dissapointed with accuracy; thought for a rifle this long the accuracy would be better & more consistent. Overall, Gamo makes a great air rifle but if you want tight consistent groups beyond 25 yrds buy a 22lr rifle.

    Im semi-happy with my gamo gen3 speedster, i love the trigger which i customized to be very light, its silent, packs a crazy punch, that scope is pretty decent for that price and after 2+k shots holds.
    But finding proper pellet to shoot was nightmare, i tried many types of different pellets and it shoots good only with jsb monster which are pretty heavy and more expensive :(

    Interesting that gamo and umerex sell so well in the US. Here in Europe they're classed as junk, weihrauch, air airms and feinwerk are the go to rifles.

      @@peteralexben bsa springers are the worst, also bsa pcp regulators are the worst in the business. My father in law has a gamo phox, yes it accurace but it also feels cheap and poorly made. Cometa a good yes, and in a few more years should be making premium springers. Diana are among the best the 54 air king pro is superb aswell as walther lgu and lgv if you can find them

      @nelsonl.defaria8357 7 місяців тому +2

      I agree that German and British airguns (firearms also) are the high end, however, Weihrauch and Air Arms springers are way too heavy and limited to 16 fpe. Diana makes magnum models with 23 fpe, but also too heavy, 8.5 - 9.0 lb unscoped. Lightweight air rifles make it much better to carry in the woods.
      As for saying others are junk, we might say that's because europeans are too picky.

    • @jimmynich4791
      @jimmynich4791 6 місяців тому

      @@nelsonl.defaria8357They're not too heavy, the weight aids accuracy it absorbs the recoil and its easier to hold on target. If you're out hunting with any air rifle you should have a sling on your gun.

    hands down gamo has the market cornered on the multi shot mag with the best one out there in my opinion as well as great budget spirng air rifles as well. I have a gamo varmit, gamo swarm DX and a gamo bone collector all are great spring air rifles for the price. And I am a guy that owns several high end German made spring air rifles which are by far my favorite but for the money you cannot beat a good gamo air rifle just my 2 cents anyway.

  • @j.verfaillie5742
    @j.verfaillie5742 11 місяців тому +4

    It is a pity that Gamo will probably temporarily omit the open visors for sales purposes and alternately juggle with their whisper and whisper fusion sound suppression. Nevertheless, I find the recently released gen 3i generation to be hard to beat. I'm definitely happy with my Fusion gen3i in .22.

      Just switching the 2 pellets that you used in this video, not using any other ammo.
      I was just curious to see how those groups would look like.
      I know all rifles aren’t going to do good with all ammo, certain barrels just like certain pellets.

    Nice review on these budget breakers. Truthfully neither one is a king of anything. the Umarex would be the better breaker because of the open sights. But Umarex products are suspect. The Gamo would just be a bottom of the barrel choice because, well it's a Gamo with just a scope rail and with a oval scope stop pin hole instead of a round circle pin hole really sucks! Doesn't matter if they have a magazine breaking the barrel to load it, it takes the same time to load single shot or magazine fed one and you still have to take your eyes off the target to load and then find your target to get back on! Worthless!!! Although the Umarex would only be ok possibly for survival situation apocalypse type, maybe.

    • @strayblackcatsmeow
      @strayblackcatsmeow 5 місяців тому

      Which magazine? I use gen2 and gen2i and the magazine has a very solid lock. I've heard that they can loose the pellet but that is from improperly loading the magazine on anything over gen1. FWI to those not familiar with Gamo swarm, gen1 is vertically mounted magazine. Gen2 and gen2i (inertia) also sold as magnum gen2 are horizontally mounted. The gen3i (inertia) for rifles with green release buttons are horizontally mounted as well. The three series are not interchangeable and the gen2i will not cycle on lighter gen2 rifles. My Swarm Maxxim has no issues with gen2i magazines though it's not magnum, it does use the smaller nitrogen gas piston.
