I hope you enjoyed this video and that will make you enthusiastic enough to join us at Zakspeed CarMeet on 30th of Spetember: facebook.com/events/1876609099333421/?ref=br_rs Maybe we can do a broken parts giveaway then!
Wow, I think I have been a sub to your vlogs for almost a year now and of all the cool things you have done on and around The Ring this might be my new favorite. Great work!
Yay...so much racing history in one place o.0 no words.... .Except Instruction laps, you also have to make tours around Nurburg area. They are so many cool places around and only the locals know them.Good plan for the winter season :) Great content again Misha, keep it UP!
Only way I’ve heard of Zakspeed was through several racing simulators, I had no idea it was still around and had such an extensive history. I drove the Zakspeed 80s Mustang and the power delivery was savage, when the turbo spooled up it was crazy fast. Amazing tour, thank you!
Nice video Misha, but on 00.35 they already mentioned they never did something with rally... Well they sure did! How about the Opel Kadett 4S? This car was build for group S, but never used in the group B or group S. Yes in rally raids as Paris Dakar. Opel used a Ford engine build by Zakspeed that had 500 hp and in when needed more than 800 for a few seconds. Some Kadett's 4S had also the Manta 400 engine with a compressor. Opel wanted to hide the connection with Ford so this is maybe also the reason Zakspeed doesn't mention it...
I was at the 24 Hour race back in 1999 where Zakspeed entered the yellow Viper for the very first time. I watched them win it overall. Peter had a famous co-driver some guy named Klaus Ludwig. Those were the days. Thanks again Misha for the most awesome Vlog. Keep up the good work.
I went looking for the Zakspeed Capri from the 80's and arrived at this marvelous tour of the Zakspeed shop. It is a true motorsport dynasty with winning car after winning car. Absolutely a must for any motorsport enthusiast and engineer to see. Thank you Peter for opening your shop to the world
Great video. Always loved the mad designed cars, but didnt realise how far back and just how many cars they have actually produced. That Calibra tho is nuts. Cheers Misha
Great tour. Like many others, love the Calibras. Had forgotten Zakspeed raced F1 for a while. As an older person here in the UK, the Zakspeed name is always synonymous for me with the massively arched, stripped down Capri. 😊👍
What a great opportunity to be able to film there Misha! This is one of my favorite videos on your channel already and I haven't even finished. Such a wide range of projects, very fascinating.
The thing most memorable for me about Zakspeed was back in the 70's, they were running the crazy and technologically much advanced Group 5 Ford Capri, with the phenomenal 1.7 Liter Turbo (over 500hp). Should look for UA-cam videos on this car!! Wild
Awesome history and great guy featured here, dope. Also, that monster Calibra, imagine everyone showing up at the 1997 ITC seasons with that kind of beast, what a hell of a competition would that have been.
#funfact Today is actually one year since i heard about Misha aka Boosted Boris from Shmee's video and started watching every single video he uploaded since that day :D quality content
Great tour. I have many of those racecars in 1:43 scale. I just love touring cars from pretty much any series, the main 3 are BTCC, DTM and V8Supercars.
Who would have thought Zakspeed would be restoring beetles? I like the M3 section and escort! Amazing to see inside Zakspeed a company that was always a mystery turning out incredible looking cars.
Thanks for the video, was really interesting! My grandfather kept talking about Zakspeed but I always forgot to look it up in detail, so thank you very much!
Outstanding Misha. Always wondered what it was like at Zakspeed. Loved their old dtm/itc race cars. Including the famous volvo dtm prototype. that chrysler though!
From what I've researched, the Chrysler 300c is made from an E class Mercedes frame. It's made for taxi! I test drove and almost purchased a 300 SRT 8, it was fast and handled well for a heavy car. Good used buy if you want a Hemi.
Waaaaauuuuuwww!!!! Now those are friendly people, or at least more friendly than the guys at Kremer :P Cool to see that they do normal oldtimers too! Love the Beetles they have! I'm sure that 1303S will be one of the best ones around when it's done. I actually know of one rotting away on a driveway, been sitting there for over 15yrs and it's bad, such a shame the owner won't sell it :/
Zakowski is building a replica, after he sold his zakspeed capri (chassis no. 1/81) to new zealand. Some say, that Zakowski also have the leftovers from the burned one ( chassis no. 1/78). Fun Fact: The "Zakspeed" that is owned by Ford isnt a real one. Its a replica that i build with real Zakspeed (spare-) parts (chassis no. 100rep ). It has never seen a racetrack. Hope i answere your question.
wooow super calibra.posible visit instalations in 2023_im from spain and this year go to my opel aclibra from spain to germany a european calibra days in august

Misha Charoudin when are you making a ring garage video?
Yes, but I have other priorities now. It is coming, but in a month or so when things have settled here and I am caught up with the vlogs.
Wow, I think I have been a sub to your vlogs for almost a year now and of all the cool things you have done on and around The Ring this might be my new favorite. Great work!
Misha Charoudin can you make a video guides tour of what kind of tuners and service you can see in Nürburg
Misha, Are you going to be at this meet on the 30th? Im arriving at Apex for the weekend but may head over to have a look at Zakspeed as well!
call me old skool but those DTM Calibra's brought back happy memories of them racing at donington park & silverstone in the ITC & DTM
Zakspeed is without doubt the cleanest facility ever. It looks more like an automotive art collage! Thanks for this brilliant insight Misha.
MIsha the car industry insider free online tours. Most of those stuff are not allowed for most of us to see. Thank you so much!
Yay...so much racing history in one place o.0 no words.... .Except Instruction laps, you also have to make tours around Nurburg area. They are so many cool places around and only the locals know them.Good plan for the winter season :) Great content again Misha, keep it UP!
This is the greatest German accent 👍🏼👍🏼

Great stuff Misha! Sometimes we forget how much influence Zakspeed has in the motor sport.
Now that was very interesting. Nice move of Zakspeed to show you around

The Toyota Corolla Altis in 8:00... I didn't expect that in Zakspeed!
Definitely doesn't expect the engine looks so epic!
Thumbs up for Herr Zakowski!!
What a great opportunity to be able to film there Misha! This is one of my favorite videos on your channel already and I haven't even finished. Such a wide range of projects, very fascinating.
I used to know a guy back in 1994 who did their Carbon Fibre - really advanced stuff back then. Still is I guess! Another great video Misha, good job!

Great video Misha. Thanks for showing it all.
Wow. So much epic history in one team. Truly amazing. Thanks for this episode Mischa. Top notch!
Thank you for this. I live in Canada and had a bunch of Zakspeed model cars as a kid.
Fantastic behind the scenes look at zakspeed. Enjoyed every second of it.
Awesome history and great guy featured here, dope. Also, that monster Calibra, imagine everyone showing up at the 1997 ITC seasons with that kind of beast, what a hell of a competition would that have been.

This is a fantastic video, felt like I was there myself. Amazing place.
Thank you for this amazing tour, that's quite an inside look of how a racing team works. good stuff m8!
I don't think anyone sounds more German than this guy. This has to be the strongest german accent ever
Awesome! Great video, great visit, great people! Awesome stories! Thanks Misha!
Wow i saw that Sierra Cosworth race at Oulton Park couple months ago.
The yellow calibra ran in 1996 not 1986. The carbon One was Build for 1997 season
Yeah, he got confused there, easily done with so much history to remember!
GTiR23 yeah. He is such a great and friendly guy! i don't blame him
As someone named Zak and American, this German makes me proud. He’s a legend in my book!
wirklich interessant, danke dir.
Top Content!!!
All that racing history!!!!
11:52 the carbon monocoque for the Ford....something I can't quite make out? What does he say after Ford?
Rohbau Capri? "zeig' ich nicht." damn!
When I asked if I should cut it out, he said to leave it as a teaser!
oxid alpha den Capri hat Peter Z. ja leider nicht gezeigt 😉
Can you tell more about that Capri?
Zakowski is building a replica, after he sold his zakspeed capri (chassis no. 1/81) to new zealand. Some say, that Zakowski also have the leftovers from the burned one ( chassis no. 1/78).

Another Turbo Capri was sold to Peter Mücke recently. I saw it running at the Hockenheim Historic earlier this year.
So much cool stuff, what hero for giving such a open tour. 👍🏻
More of this kind of content please. Great success!

Great Video. German Racing History at its best. First German Team in F1.

Swiss Racing Guy its a V8
3:11 those 3 white and 1 green cars ... are those early 2000’s jaguar race cars?
If so, what racing series was it in?
inVAINwetrust it was V8 Star! That was a silhouette racing series with V8 engines and around 500hp
Good morning Carmrade Misha. Please make more videos like this one. Supercool to watch behind the scenes action.
16:20 wait, from 86??? wasnt calibra released in 89??

Thank you for the info on the Viper.
Огромное спасибо, просто потрясающий материал. Питер очень приятный человек.
I can't believe that someone disliked a rare video like this.
Zakspeed did all the V8 STAR cars? I loved that series. Amazing history!
This was a great vid.
Awesome tour
I love the old Zakspeed F1 cars!
