@@savagecabbage553 Haha true
This rendition broke my heart.
Absolutely beautiful 🌹❤️
Saw her in Cleveland Ohio a few years back. The audience was in complete silence as she played. She's amazing
You sure? No coughs?
@@parikshitkulkarni3551 Impossible
@Tjokkaflens Plus she's a woman?? As a (male) classical guitarists I can tell you that the thin, nimble fingers and long nails that come with being a woman help with classical greatly, and as someone who practices with women I've never seen anyone have any problems with hand strength for chord shifting. Maybe it occurs more in other guitar styles.
How is she "not that good"? Talking rubbish fella
@Tjokkaflens not that good ?
She's a real master buddy
Sublime as usual, but the recording could've used some backup coughing.
So true 😀
LMAO!!!!
Was it the Asturias recording? 😂
Lol
Lol
She's obviously a master. It's so nice to see that she has slowed down. Years ago she sped through everything. This is absolutely perfect. And knowing she could have sped through this without missing a note, the fact that she kept her tempo so calm means she has grown even more as a performer. Beautiful.
i agree 100%
Speed is very important to the explosive feeling of Spanish guitar, but it's easy to overuse it. The sign of a true maestro is knowing exactly when to use it. She really got to that point now.
@@saudude2174it's about dynamics and using it musically. That is Fortissimo to pianissimo, aswell as throwing in accelerandos and ritardandos in a tasteful way.
That is really what all musical performance is about apart from the technical side of it. You could just summarize it as "phrazing" because that's "all" it is. The best musicians are the ones who do their phrazing the best. Extremely technical players are not uncommon. I've gone to music schools for basically all my school years and I often met people who could play literally anything on their instrument. The problem was that 80-90% of them were extremely boring to listen to. No soul in the music at all.
Long comment but any musician will probably get what I'm trying to say.
@@footingball5566 Yes, this is the part that I believe talent is responsible for. The feeling for music, the ability to convey emotions through subtle phrasing of the notes.
@@saudude2174 definitely. There is technical skill and there is musicality anf they are very different. You need enough musicality to understand the music and also to be able to make your own tasteful decisions to convey that. I had kids in my school that could play La Campanella without missing a note and everyone thought that was impressive (which to some extent it is) but it was completely soulless and boring. My friend on the other hand who was also good technically (not like them but he could still play Rachmaninov, Scriabin etc. with practice) would play so you wanted to listen. He cared about the music, the other kids were forces to take lessons from 4 years old but really don't give a shit about the music apart from hitting all the notes.
I've heard this a hundred times by different artists and this is the one.
It's a mystery how she plays this piece.
She lets the beautiful piece plays itself. No overdoing.
Listen to Vera Dana'lina play it. I love Ana but Vera plays it masterfully.
Hearing this was the best part of my whole day. I always listen to Ana late at night to put my soul at ease.
😊
lovely
Same here. It calms me down so maybe I can sleep.
And a sight for sore eyes !!!
😂
I Have been learning Capricho Árabe and now I know how it should sound.
This is so much darker and heavier than the other versions I've heard. I gotta learn to play this. I wouldn't have given any of the other versions a full listen, but I've been returning to this one for years. Love the delicate phrasing and the spaciousness of it all
damn jimi i thought you died like 50 years ago
Absolutely. I've heard versions with hardly any dynamics, therefore no light and shade, and which do not provide good phrasing and only seem to concentrate on getting the notes on the right place. If you listen to the original by Tárrega which is on You Tube, you get so much emotion from such heartfelt playing. Ana Vidovic comes a close second, and that is something unbelievably difficult to achieve. Truly sublime.
@@laurelbrand3734 There is no "original Tarrega playing", he died somewhere in the beginning of the 20th century, there were no audio recording devices
@@hindenburg1596 I think they are talking about the david russel recording with tarrega in the thumbnail so they thought that was the original
@@hindenburg1596gresite.
Lots of masters play this one, but few tame it like this. She lets this one play out the way it should. Beautiful.
This is someone who really loves Tarrega. Thank you for posting.
Commenting on perfection is the only way to give thanks to God for allowing us to share in the masterful skill and beauty of this talented young soul. ❤😇👏🤗💐✨
I have been a fan of Ana's for many years. I my opinion there's no one better.
I’m so in love with Ana Vidovic, ever since the first time I heard and saw her . . I’ve been sending her videos to everyone I know, for years. The first time I heard her, I was blown away ~ ~ ~
Ana's clear sound, and her fine balance of composure and passion are wonderful.
To comment on this performance would do it a disservice, perfection needs no translator. To listen is the purest joy.
Some kind of unreal perfection.

True.
Watching Ana play is as beautiful as it sounds.
Mesmerizing, highly expressive, very sophisticated language!! So perfect!! Thank you for the music 🙏
Tarrega is smiling from Heaven...
I love to see Ana Vidovic playing the guitar, she is my favorite guitar player, I would like to meet her in person a day!
I heard her for the first time yesterday when a Scarlatti piece showed up on my home page. Aside from chops, she is really a thinking player. So many conscious decisions. Dynamics, voicing, rubato. She’s serious.
Check out Tatyana Rhyzkova’s cover, less thinking and more emotion with that one
That intonation
That is what impressed me too. She makes the guitar SING.
@Fer Men Thank you. Not to mention fanboys are more concerned about that dress than the actual interpretation. Smh

WOW. anyone can practice endlessly to achieve technical mastery. HowEVER, not everyone can play with feeling like this!!
From this master piece we can know how great guitarist was Tarrega. Rest to his soul🙏
Love from Italy
I’m a metal head but I do love classical guitar. I remember attempting to learn this piece in college. It’s a tricky one lol
It's hard to get the emotion. My teacher told me to imagine a desert and some camels.
I have listened to this so many times over the last year. Every time I want to be reminded of what it should sound like, I go to this version. No one does it better in my opinion. Just pure perfection!
Incredible, perfect dynamics and those fingers are nature's wonder, made for guitar
Beautiful Ana! And your version's of all the other Spanish pieces, are the best. Thanks 😊. 😊.
I love how Ana has evolved as a guitarist since the first time I have listened to her. She was super mechanical, punctual but devoid of emotion, since that was what people expected of virtuosos. Im really glad she found her pace and now delivering us amazing pieces full of emotion and the way I always imagined them to be played. Bravo Ana!
¡¡ Bravo Ana !!
Maravillosa interpretación.
Her personal style while sticking to the pages is absolutely beautiful! Love everything this talented human touches....
Ana, you simply are the best, I have no other words, keep on playing.
She’s also drop dead gorgeous.
yeah, beautiful guitar
@RadHero345 I heard it was around $15,000 😬
@@normapedraza2310 no idea about the cost, but it just oozes quality :)
@RadHero345 oh her guitar is about 15000 USD, and the luthier is Jim Redgate. Her guitar has a double top which helps on the volume, but at the same time it brings up imperfections too, and this luthier can do an outstanding job for sure!
Aren't we all?
All the three of them are beautiful: the piece, the way is played and the guitarist...
This guitar sounds absolutely amazing. The A string is soooo full.
Her playing puts my soul at ease
Beautifully played, I love the clarity of the treble notes.
No one, absolutely nobody can play this piece nor even get close to the way Ana plays it. She plays smooth when it is required and loud when needed. She is the Queen of dynamics and timing. Her mastery on this instrument is really amazing. "Raft house" is another wonderful piece of music where she and her brother Viktor make it clear that are complete musicians. Someone like me, who was born only ten days after she was born, could only add one more thing: whether she is married or not, whether I will ever meet her or not, I love Ana and in my dreams I'm her husband and she is my wife. No one can take that away from me. In the end, isn't the love which is born in one's thoughts the most beautiful one?
Beautiful! !!
Yeah she is Pretty good.
Another person worth checking is Brandon Acker he did an amazing job as well!
I wish I had said that . . . but I'm glad you did. Hope she 'hears' this in some way--and, most important, feels the love that we have for her.
@Franz Schubert What you just read. Period.
There is so much music in those dynamics
Beautiful, clean, consistent, strong and expressive sound! This is the best performance I have ever heard of this piece.
Have just started learning classical guitar. Currently bashing my way through Jingle Bells.
Then I hear this....should inspire. Actually makes me want to give up the use of my fingers!
dont give up lol. I can play up to 2:40 exactly, then I feel lost and my fingers cant move. But hey, some weeks ago, those 2:40 looked impossible to me, but now I can play it.
After you learn this kind of pieces and you see your skills getting better over time, you feel really proud of yourself, and that boosts your own confidence, which helps you keep progressing even further
Don't give up! I know it may be hard at the beginning, but remember that every professional used to be a "new student", who knew nothing about the instrument. It's all about patience and practice, nothing more! Good luck
@@laualbornoz7190 thanks. You are absolutely right. I haven't given up - and I am now thinking about exploring Flamenco guitar more
@@dw2062 Update: I finally can play it from beginning to the end with no issues! Of course I still need A LOT of improvement in how it sounds, but hey, Im so happy!

@@FockeWulfFW200 that's great! Well done!
Ana Vidovic definitely has that certain distinguished edge...creating that certain touch of nuance when she plays any piece....Bravo Ana...you just do it for me...I absolutely love you...
The right hand plucking is really skillful. Beautiful. I play with a pleck.
Ana Vidovic is one of my favorite gbuitarists

Incredible talent. Thank you, Ana.
One of the best guitarrists i have ever listened to
She plays with her soul.... Taking us to heaven.
Soooo very Beautiful and the guitar is also pretty. Best version I've heard so far. ❤
Flawless interpretation allowed by your perfected technique. Such a gentle presentation of a new way of playing Tarrega such as, no doubt I am certain, he would delight in. In 60 years of listening I've never imagined a substantial improvement could ever be reached of playing Capricho Arabe by the masters of guitar but you have delivered a sublime AND dynamic performance. Breathtaking.
I absolutely agree with you...I've listened to other really great interpretations...Ana surpasses all others....Believe me...I have an extremely fine ear for music and musicality....
@@ihsanmodak3916 Apparently you do. Vidovic's performance here is way beyond technique though that is obviously the means to her end. But the end; the artistry, the 'musicality' she almost exaggerates with out ever sounding exaggerated. It's as if she can play 'softness' VERY LOUDLY. This is way beyond so many technique junkies that are pushing 'classical music' to new popularity but lack the soul, the essence of music as defined by the ancient Greeks , "...of the Muses (their goddesses)." The sublime subtleties - the whispered nuances. This seems then the history of guitar: from Segovia to Williams and Bream and now in the 3rd decade of the 21st C., to Vedovic.
Thanks for your reply. Your thoughts?
@@davidpeteriarussi7956 Right. I believe Vidovic is among the phalanx of this 3rd generation you describe. One of my favorites.

There are countless versions, but the feeling and nuances "Vidovic" are unique. This woman is unique !!!
Ana, you must have a beautiful soul to play such beautiful music. Your music never fails to bring tears of joy to my eyes. Thank you so very, very much.
One of the most beautiful interpretacion I ever listen
This is one of those performances where everyone is listening in silence but their souls keep feeling it again and again, discovering new things about themselves and their lives, but also reconnecting with all their memories. I imagine after hearing this noone is indifferent to it. A testament to the super composition and the execution alike. I keep coming back to this again and again.
Che meraviglia! Suono limpido, coinvolgente. Pathos.
Brava.
