I enjoy watching her play a very talented player, but she only ranks at 121, it would be nice to see her play more often, if she wants to be at the top level then she needs to win more ranking events, the same as any other player male or female, perhaps if she was to get to the top level it would attract more women to learn snooker
Yeah. I was shocked to see that even though she's the 12x womens world snooker champion, she has never won a match on the tour. She got on the tour in 2010, after winning 61 (!!) consequtive women's matches. However on the tour she then lost 18 consequtive matches and dropped out again... This has nothing to do with the sexes, only how good an individual is.
So would the male 120 ranked player get so much attention. This is a clear case of positive sexism. I.e. she gets this much attention because she's a woman, not because she's good enough. Having said that she played really well this match.
@@chintanshah6234 I think she is getting the attention because it would be nice to see a female player to climb the same ranks as their male counterparts, but it is a very steep mountain to climb, she definitely has the talent maybe just a bit more experience in the top ranked matches is needed, and I would like to see a female player able to climb the top ranks. This isn't pool, it's snooker. Pool is the kids version of snooker, with tiny tables. Snooker tables are 4 times as big as pool tables, which makes every shot exponentially more difficult, because being 1° off with your shot on a pool table is no big deal. But if you're 1° off on a snooker table, the length is so much longer that you'll always miss. You have to be at minimum 10 times more accurate on a snooker table than on a pool table. That's why whenever even an average professional snooker player tries out pool, they absolutely dominate. The best way to get better at pool is to play snooker. Once you go back to pool after having played snooker, suddenly you're potting everything with ease, and it feels like a pale imitation of snooker, with children's size tables. So you end up just playing snooker instead, it's a much much harder game, but so much more rewarding for that reason.
