Nice Christmas present to see this on 24 Dec!
    Great music.
Love the fact the such good music was coming out of that old German flute & a simple generation whistle, and... the piano player rocks!

Kitty Linnane of the piano. Some of us old farts remember when the only choices for a whistle were Generation or Clarke. Now there must be close to a hundred makers.
The presenter Tony McMahon passed this year - RIP

@@johnnielson7676 Started on Generation, Clarke and Shaw whistles myself.
I named my music "business" Ancient Winds. A friend pointed that it really means "Old Fart".

The two Dunne brothers; Christy and Michael are also in the clip but not playing. They were travelling musicians, well known all over Ireland. They were quiet talented traditional musicians and regularly played outside Roche's Stores in Cork during the '60's, '70's & '80's

Great playing! Thanks for posting this (by the way, though the video starts with the band playing a reel, the other tunes are actually jigs 🙃🙂).

I don't think any of the members featured above are with us no more. I see a very young Tommy Peoples playing the fiddle.. Beautiful jigs..."Nobody can play like them"...R.I.P. Tony McMahon.
