I'm at about the same point with our Rosa, but lucky to start with a flat floor version - almost exact same mileage too. Aircon all comes out next week, heaters and linings come out this weekend.

I can't actually remember the diameter, I wanna say 15mm? I just took a small section of the hose off with a Stanley knife and then quickly connected it back it to the heater, then took the cut off to Repco and got one that was snug. Well 3, but you get the idea.

Hi guys, a really excellent video series, keep up the great work. Im a few steps behind you (currently researching which vehicle), but approaching it from an engineering / mechanical repair & maintenance / metal fabricating perspective. Im very interested in your carpentry approach - great tips, and that bitumous paint is great. With your rear heaters; i would definitely keep a few in case, but most people seem to go for the diesel heaters, as you can turn them on a few hours after you stop to warm the bus up before going to bed, and cheaper and quiet to run apparently. I live in Brisbane - no heaters needed here. Assuming cooling fluid is always flowing around the rear heaters circuit, this is actually a good thing as the extra fluid in the circuit assists your engine cooling, but the circuit is a real risk to your motor if a failure occurs. Those hoses you disconnected from the heaters are probably all 13 years old unless they were replaced at some stage. I agree with your approach ...but... 1) by twisting them both 90 degrees to join them, you are possibly risking future failure through hose cracking that will be covered by a floor or water tank, etc and potentially impossible to reach & repair, without a partial dismantle. 2) cant be sure from the camera angle, but any screws used through the floor, and elsewhere, cant be allowed to touch any of those hoses, or they will wear through and fail. Never a potential problem without a solution: so I would make a "hose bypass circuit" near the radiator, at the source and end of your rear heater hose lines - basically just joining the start and end of the hoses going to (not from) the rear heaters. Keep it ready to fit (with fittings) if a failure dores occur, and stored in your "mechanical spares" bin, along with some of that silicon fluid proof repair tape - very cheap and light-weight insurance. Absolutely no criticism of what you are doing here, but I spend a lot of time solo in the Outback, so being self sufficient is necesary, and breaking down hundreds of km from anyone, and repairing red-hot equipment in the dust is VERY overrated. 🤠

I would have blocked those heater hoses off at the engine then u wont have to worry bout leaks later on...
