When i assemble the ends, i try not to disturb the stainless braid as much as possible. I open it up just enough for the ferrule to slide it. I find it helps with the frayed ends.

Man, I hate putting these on, but man, it’s good line.

Agreed. I can think of more fun things to do with my free time; but the lack of fuel smell and the durability of these lines are top notch qualities.

Did you manage to have issues with the -8an fragola ptfe? I've stripped 4 ends but never had an issue with the -6an & -10an. It almost feels like the hat is a little short and threads aren't happy with the initial start.

No sir. Being aluminum fittings I make sure that absolutely no extra material from the hose sleeve can get to the threads. Then to prevent cross threading I start it by hand after squaring it up backwards (shove the fitting in and keep it square but not threading by spinning it counter clockwise). It should then be an easy clockwise assembly process. I've noticed that sometimes if I jump straight to clockwise install the initial threads can grab and it ends up cross threading.
      Thanks for commenting!

Not sure why Fragola has about 30% less threads than say Summit brand AN fittings.

@@todd5082 man I wish I could tell you but yeah the thread number appears to be lower. Could be a cost or thread size/design constraint for sure. Appreciate your view and chiming in.
