Thank you for bringing back tennis!! There are more stadiums than players. I hope this changes when the game comes out. We need more top players including Djokovic, Nadal, Sinner, Zvervev etc..

It's a good start but the graphics look last gen and there are not enough current players. You want to have about 30 ATP players, including Joker and Nadal of course. You also need to have Jannik Sinner in the game. He, along with Alcaraz, are the most exciting things in the sport right now. You have Carlos but you need Jannik in the game guys. I'd also like to see Zverev, Tsitsipas, Rune, Rublev, and as many of the top 30 players as you can get. This game with fully modern visuals and a fleshed-out roster would be amazing. I'm happy that you have brought the franchise back though, and I'm hoping the "2K25" moniker means that there will be future (annual?) releases. I'm sure with a couple of iterations there can be an amazing game eventually.

Adding more players in the game is damn expensive. If you want to have Sinner alone you need to put an additional 100K (minimum) on the table; Using someone’s image costs … tennis games weren’t that profitable these past years to make such an extra investment worth it. Here we have a solid first cast I’d say, pretty cool. I’m just still a little skeptical about the moves, they look a little slow on the court and the grunts made me kinda uncomfortable
@@DanAngelok Tennis needs to smarten up as a sport when it comes to this stuff. There should be a way to get the ATP and WTA licenses so you can use all current active players (just like getting the NBAPA or NFLPA licenses for example). I get that it doesn't work that way right now but it needs to. This game can only benefit the sport if it actually represents the sport properly by including the best players. That's why people buy FIFA, Madden, 2K, etc. If you took out 75% of the NBA's best players from the game, no one would buy NBA 2K.
Idk how licenses work, but we should have a bigger roster of active players. And a separate roster for retired legends.
Atleast top 15 ATP and top 15 WTA.

@@Mauruudyeah, and I feel like the graphics aren't good. The textures aren't detailed at all and the character models look the same quality for 2010's games. Honestly I'm a tennis and gaming fan but I won't buy that if it looks like that at release.
@@jonas8993 This is the first Top Spin game since TS4. It won’t be that much different. Top Spin 2K26 will probably be way different.
@@RoanRants Hopefully but I don't see the logic. It's not because the last game of the franchise is 10+ years old that this one should be outdated. It would make more sense to start from scratch, on a technical point at least (graphics etc.) Strategically I don't see the logic either, if they disappoint now people aren't gonna buy the next one. But, it's just my thoughts.
On the right path, but the players stand very still between the strokes. Looks almost less fluent that TS4
Because it’s played by guys who can’t play it properly and at easy/normal difficulty, even TS4 is like this, if you search for a very hard gameplay you’ll see things changing.

That's cause of the difficulty level they are playing at, did you forget very easy and easy modes in TS4?! They even served slow for the player to grasp the gameplay properly. At hard or very hard, that's where you play real tennis.
Yep. That’s what I’m noticing. I looked at TS4 and thought it look really good. 2K25 almost seems like a step backward. Of course gameplay and feel will be king, but it seems like they were worried this game wouldn’t sell, so they pulled back on refining certain elements. I think that’s a mistake. But anyway, I’d say the local fan base will buy this anyway. I just hope they kick it up a gear with more modes and players for future releases.

So glad Roger motion captured his serve! His forehand and backhand motions were already amazing in Top Spin 4 with just the serve being inaccurate. Also hope Nadal and Djokovic get added post launch!
It's so bad though and so slow! Average shot per rally in 2024 tennis = 4 shots at 78-80 mph from forehand with peak at 105 mph from Alcaraz.
Here what do we have? Average rally around 10-15, moonballs at 40 mph like seniors in my local club. It's pathetic.
Every surface look the same in terms of physics and each player hit the same ball with the same spin. Federer in real life hit a ball with 2800 rotation per sec, lots of spin; Medvedev hits flat (I think 1400 or something).
We see no difference in game: those devs absolutely don't watch pro tennis and don't know tennis. Look at the face of Agassi.... oh my god!

Still really unrealistic given the quality of technology these days. Animations are still very janky, rallies too long with too few errors / winners / unreturnable serves. Extremely limited roster of players. Speed of shot is unrealistically slow. Technique still looks very unrealistic (although I will admit the service motions look miles better than previously).
And they will ask 70€ for it. Be sure of that !
As a big fan of Topspin 4 from the Xbox 360 days, I’m happy to see the series return with 2K25! Very pleased to see that 2K retained elements from 4 but incorporated new changes for the better as well. Super excited for this!

I hope there is a pro mode that remove all power bars, glowing red dots etc. Just a clean Tennis game the same way you can get PGA 2k23 clean if you want.

@@JosephYoYo more accurate. Now its sounds like sombody are making fun of the sport or the "stereotypical" tennisplayer in a funny way. My impression is that everyone wants a simulation of the tennis pros and right now its too goofy. When you hit a tennisball hard its not screaming but more air coming out, difficult to explain. Thats Why many are picking on it.
Also there would be cool with details where the players sweats or shows fatigue. Or "grunting" after long rallies being more tired in the 3rd set. I want more realistic and details, how difficult can it be to add stuff like that@@JosephYoYo

Wow the anticipation for this game has been years and I can’t wait to play. As a Williams Sisters fan, Serena’s grunt does sound quite strange here and I wonder why, because she definitely didn’t sound like that on the court. Hopefully that is improved before the game comes out.

Is court surface going to make gameplay different? For example, clay courts slower and grass faster? The cosmetic of slides on clay is nice, but only cosmetic, I hope the gameplay is different for each type of surface.

being waiting for top spin to return for decades
Happy topspin was brought back and it will be nice to play online again as it's one of the best aspects. Definitely wish there was a bigger roster as it makes career mode more realistic, some of the players motions like Medvedev looked a bit off and not really how he hits the ball. The grunting is kinda weird too lol sounds a bit over the top. I have hope this will be continue to be updated and new players will drop without hefty price tags.

Picked up a PS5 yesterday in anticipation for this game. Hopefully it doesn't suck like every other tennis game that came out after Topspin 4.

when fed is about to hit a backhand it looks like hes about to hit a two hand. this reminds me of grand slam tennis 2
How did you manage to motion capture Federer and not nail any of the animations lol. Backhand should have extended elbow, no limp wrist, other arm extending back. Forehand prep arc should be lower, body leaning forward… so much is off. You can even see that when he’s in the mocap suit

Why does the ball speed is slow ? is it because you're playing on easy mode or normal mode ?

Will there be other game modes outside of traditional tennis matches? For example NBA 2K has "Blacktop Mode", and EA FIFA has "Volta" aka FIFA Street Mode.

the game comes out in 3 weeks....there will be no additions until then. There is no trace of sweat/dirt/reddened face in any long gameplay videos. I wonder if it will be better than top spin4. That would be shameful, I think. 15 years anyway....

Regarding grunting during plays, it must occur at specific moments. For instance, when players are tired, or when the rally has been lengthy, or when a player makes a significant effort. If the grunting appears at other times, such as at the beginning, or if it's not justified, this breaks the immersion of the game.
Thank you for offering the game on PC. I hope there will be more than 300 IA players with a nice design for pve carreer mode.

Happy to see the return of TopSpin and will pick up day 1...but can't pretend not to be severely disappointed by stiffness of the animations, likenesses, and number of current players. That being said, bravo on the amount of venues. Not having Novak and Rafa seems tragic. Get me Ospokeno and her brattiness and we'll call it even!
Looks fun, but I can't understand why 120 mph serves looks soooo slow. Also, sometimes the players just stand perfectly still as the ball comes to them. Looks so unnatural. That said, looking forward to playing again, I've got fond memories of the other Topspin games!
omg finally someone says that. it's unnatural that the player before the ball arrive is COMPLETELY STAND, wtf!!! and also serves are to slow, in real life when you do a good serve it's very very difficult for the opponent to get it...

Additional footworks must be added when the characters are waiting for the ball. Sure there are some, but they are almost not noticeable. Normally, a tennis player is not static when waiting for the ball. I hope the developer will look at this.
Eek, the Federer character’s left hand holds the racquet on the handle (only double handers do that) when it should be on the throat of the racquet. Very jarring to see!

Just my two cents: It would be cool to have retro courts like from the ‘90s or early ‘00s, creating your own custom arena/stadium (250, 500, M1000 or GS) and able to change colors of the player’s attires/kits.
Hope there is option to shut the timing bar....which is not that necessary

It is the flag of censorship 😊 If this was a normal developer under his name there should be a Russian flag 🇷🇺 But we live in a clown world where politics interfere in sport, media and entertainment. I will remind you that Russian and Belarusian players were even banned from participation in the 2022 Wimbledon 🙂
