Thank you for posting Tennis content. This is my first video of your channel and I enjoyed it. Loved the commentary (i dont expect it every video). I recently got the game and I have a lot of learning to do but wanted to see a real match. Ill get online soon. I come from fighting games so the 1 v 1 interest me. Have a great day!
Wide serving is such a loser tactic. It’s been the problem with any online tennis games. The moment someone walks to the corner I lose all respect for them.
The devs of the game are first to blame for the state of the game for sure, but players who all play the same way deserve some of the blame as well. I agree that those who use control shots will be tough to beat regardless, but a large majority of players power shot most of the time. Hence why a lot of the top players have 95+ power. I may make a video about the state of the game because even writing about it just irks me because how has it been over 2 months and the same main issues are still prevalent. It is crazy to think haha.
@@justdroppingby7383 it’s not a real life tactic though since they’re working on patching it. No one moves to the corner in a singles match irl because you just get crushed with a down the line serve. Also, a less than 100 mph wide serving slice first serve is definitely not a real life tactic. Flat serving out wide is, but no one aims for the singles line on the side irl. At most it’s the corner of the service box. In the game, they aim for the side which is unrealistic to do consistently.
I use control shots quite a lot, most of them perfect and even worked through coaches to get shot counter. You simply can not do anything against these power meta characters regardless. Serena and Sharapova in the 2k tour for example just blast winners off a perfect control shot even with a too late or too early shot whilst on the run with zero stamina. Its ridiculous.😂 Unlike topspin 4, there is no reward for skilled players using tactics, control shots, defensive and excellent shot choice. Game is flawed and unbalanced in terms of power and precision stats combined. Topspin 4 had none of these problems and the serve was perfect. Why change it too this ridiculous set up. My fix, cap the power level and precision when power is max'd at perhaps 85, if so precision can only be 70 +/- 5. If you contiuously use power shots you make more mistakes partuicuarly if no investment in reflexes. Precision should also be capped at 80 forehand and backhand if you make them equal, +5 perhaps if you want one wing stronger than the other eg. 85 forehand 75 backhand is max combination. If you chose to have this then your max power is capped accordingly. My reasoning is Agassi, his precision is ridiculous (in the game) as players exploit them by hitting ridiculous angles that do not exist in tennis and if they were hit the would be blasted away by even mediocre players. But in this game, even with heavy power, you cant hit past those shots with power. You need to get into a side to side short angle / drop shot battle which is exhausting and ridiculously boring and unrealistic. The stats across many levels are too high, particularly when the reach 85+ but particularly 90s. Its only opinion and sure its complicated in terms of development and numbers etc but they got the game this far, just fix the skills and attribute numbers. Then theres the added fact of players boosting and cheating. I get its a game but its so damn annoying! 😂😂
Hey man, such a cool video. Thanks so much. I wanted to know with the advanced serve, I see you prep the direction very quickly and VERY easily....once you put it in either corner, is there a way to lock it in that position or are you constantly holding the correct pressure to keep it in that position? If any of this makes sense haha. I play on a PS5. the direction button for the serve is SO sensitive.
Thank you! Good question. No, you can't lock it into place. I'm just holding it at that position. Yeah, it took me a while to get used to it, but after enough practice, it should get better!

@@senordiegofc This may be a stupid question but do you hold A fully until the red circle shows up? That means full power. If it still doesn’t feel fast, it may just be that the power attribute of the player you’re using isn’t high like some of these created pros that have 95+

I genuinely believe these top ranked players, at least some of them are bots, or boosters. Some of the shots and movement are literally impossible and too have perfect shots 100% of the time whilst running with no stamina and max power is impossible. Also if you pay close attention to some of the top ranked stats, they simply do not add up.
