Josh Lewis You are a real man then. No matter what they say about you eating shit sandwiches, I know you dont like bread. Just kidding. I want an IROC series 911, love 'em.
Yeah Joe, I think you should comment that about the horsepower a few more times in case we didn't hear you the first time. I'm sure you know the cars better than the people who have built/driven/ridden in/seen them in person...
I'm familiar with it but you should expand on the "Widowmaker" monicker for those born long after this body style was produced. I've liked the design since I first saw one up close in a shopping mall back around 1986ish. It has a powerful stance, but I'm far more impressed with the idea of small displacement V6s cranking out big block power.
Holy grails for me . I have yet to drive anything more raw than a air cooled turbo . That was the pinnacle of the sports car / super car world . IMO of course
drive an old longhood race car with no sound deadening, I thought the kokeln 930 I had was raw but now that big cam 2.9l carbureted motor (started as a 2.7) in my '70 911t racecar is on another level. not as fast as the 930 I had but boy is it fun to throw around at the track!
LOL I looked at the port on the turbo for water cooling and it had no hose and I thought hmm I know oil cools the turbo as well as lubricates but still why not cool it with water too................... then it hit me ahahahahah awesome car man
So how does the timer and trap speed work in this situation since it’s roll racing. 1/4 mile time is not bad, but mph seems low for this power level. My bug trapped 133mph from a standing start with 480whp so I was expecting to see better numbers from these beasts.
Yup, it literally has a website dedicated to it lol. TRCSupra.com I personally think it's too much, your paying for the fact that it's a UA-cam celebrity lol.
Love it! That's gotta suck. You build the car up for that power and then the clutch slips. Or did you leave the stock clutch in there? Silver Porsche owner. You gotta move that V1 a little higher. The windshield wiper arm is blocking its vision, lol. Both really nice cars.
Man my car is being rebuilt now to 300 at the rear and i thought that was crazy. These cars are very small. You sit to big guys in one and your shoulders will touch. The are very lightweight also. These 2 have full interiors, you can really get somewhere if you gut them and use carbon or glass body panels. Check mine out on my channel. Thanks for the great content.
couldn't agree more, just weighed my '70 911t stripped, caged, fuel cell and full fiberglass panels and lexan all the way around and it came in at 2100lbs wet!
Aircooled guys tend to wrench their own cars. I'm used to Porsche people working on their own cars, so was kinda' thrown off when I heard that they don't. Props to building the cars up on their own though.
I hope I'm wrong.....but I so can't see how any aircooled engine can tolerate 2x higher Egts and last long...still a very sick build....GO the Aircoold motors lol
more oil circulating in the system and a giant intercooler helps. was making 600whp on pump gas in my 930 and its been 10 years since i've had to touch the motor... :)
I own a 930 Turbo S from 1987. Completely original with the original engine 930-66-S = 330 HP. I needs a complete engine overhaul now and I would like to boost up the HP on it at the same time. Thinking of 450 - 500 HP or in that range. How do I get in contact with these guys.? (I'm from Denmark by the way)
*and what’s the fuel consumption in kph OK? Not mpg! Cause the world outside USA doesn’t have a fucking clue wha a Gallon is US nor Imperial. Same with fl.oz not a God damn clue! And LBS ( Lot of Bull Shit ) GO METRIC DUDES. Think about your children! Bangkok-Johnnie AUTO EDITOR CarSanook Media 🇹🇭*
Mean Man well considering the 24 hour Le Mans cars of the 70s-80s were air cooled as well, it takes longer than you would think. The cars heat up quick when they’re still because you have minimal air/oil circulation. Plus there’s cars are more accurately “oil cooled” than air cooled.
too much goals in one video these cars are amazing
Two built Porsche 930 turbo’s screaming down a track side by side. There really is nothing better.
I'd have this over the Hellcat any day
Josh Lewis
You are a real man then.
No matter what they say about you eating shit sandwiches, I know you dont like bread.
Just kidding.
I want an IROC series 911, love 'em.
I highly doubt that porsche has 750HP and it more likely has about 450HP at the crank.
Yeah Joe, I think you should comment that about the horsepower a few more times in case we didn't hear you the first time. I'm sure you know the cars better than the people who have built/driven/ridden in/seen them in person...
Josh Lewis why not all dodge performance cars are crap since the viperacr went out of production
David Swan the hellcat doesn't handle at all you left out that little fact
The teardrop mirrors on the silver 930 look so good as opposed to the stock rectangular ones. Both fantastic cars!!
definitely agree but the stock rectangular mirrors are worth a lot now, im sure he's glad he held onto them!
Im a big jdm guy but this exact car is my all time favorite i would take it over any modern day porch any day of the week
Lovely aircooled 911s!!! big power for old cars
I Really like these kind of stories and old school cars! Great video guy’s!
Widowmaker dialled up to 11! Cool :) and what a great a story. The owner is such a cool guy and a REAL car guy. Respect to him.

quack quack flat six Porsche power my friend.

Love these guys who do their own wrenching !
Man, you guys have awesome content. These are indeed a Porsche lovers dream. Thanks TRC.
Thank you for being real and actually having a decent convo
Love to see young guys working on Porsches, amazing
Old Porsche are badass. The new ones are cool too, the old school smaller cars are more legit to me.
The coolest cars you featured on this channel yet!
WHALE TAIL! those cars was on my wall in the 80's right along side the Lamborghini
Mine too!
Dream cars! Love those older porsches
Two absolutely awesome cars and a brilliant video!
Love this kind of videos ! Love this channel !
Man that silver Porsche is just dreamy!
Do you love what we do?! Help support and rep some Official TRC merch www.teespring.com/stores/TRC
Hey I have a question??? The Evo that beat the Porsche 930 in the other video, how many hp was it, I'm just curious thank you boss 👍👍👍👍👍
@@worldwidesports4k 850hp
really enjoyed the editing in the last 45 seconds of the video
The guy with the burgundy Porsche is very very impressive! Well done to that guy
Air cool life 😎
This guy needs to be on Leno's Garage!
Friggon AWESOME video! and diggin the 2nd elevation drag shots too!
My brother: what do you watch?
Me: that racing channel
My brother: which one?
Me: 😑
Fast and clean. Big fan of this body style.
Deal of a lifetime period.
Very nice cars, the classic aircoolers are the best. They are very capable of making very good power..
The 930 Turbo 3.3 is my absolute dream car
If that's a factory 4-speed, you're hitting 85-90 mph in 2nd gear alone. So it's eating up road nicely!
8:50 this sound!!! 😍😍😍 ( very good for turbo 👍👌)
big like for these porsches
Hot rod Turbo Porsche, so very cool.
LOL I looked at the port on the turbo for water cooling and it had no hose and I thought hmm I know oil cools the turbo as well as lubricates but still why not cool it with water too................... then it hit me ahahahahah awesome car man
This is the early 90’s Wangan days all over again

Air cooled boost FTW. Former 930 owner.
The hellcat Porsche
Sad to hear about the Supra for sale! What will be the new mascot for the channel?? lol
Svtcobra60 r32 gtr
Gay balls
is there an ad?
Yup, it literally has a website dedicated to it lol. TRCSupra.com I personally think it's too much, your paying for the fact that it's a UA-cam celebrity lol.
That's the cleanest 930 ive ever seen thats actually used for racing..that guy must be truly OCD as fuck😂
At least he had enough sense not to name it "King Kong"
Blackbird...
porsche 996 is a sweet car However there is something special about a 930 Turbo !!!
Sweet color. . . Oh baby
The best Channel for me! Congrets peoples
thank you!
ty too
I love it!!!!!
Would like to see those air-cooled 911s against 720s though, they kinda have a similar times for 402m..
Outstanding!!!
Nice!! (cars and owners!)
It hooks those gears are so long helps big time with traction
how the hell do the engines stay together ❤
Love it! That's gotta suck. You build the car up for that power and then the clutch slips. Or did you leave the stock clutch in there?

Gorgeous
Absolutely a dream car!
That white 240 in the end tho
I used to drive one of these, the old 911's are real nice. But you best have a lot of $$$ for parts and repairs. The SCCA ones are faster.
I hope I'm wrong.....but I so can't see how any aircooled engine can tolerate 2x higher Egts and last long...still a very sick build....GO the Aircoold motors lol

@@jackkost967 if that's true then my theory is incorrect....glad u corrected me....aircooled is still strong as 👍👍👍
Great projects
Wish Porsche would come out with a retro 911 turbo like Dodge did with the Challenger.
I own a 930 Turbo S from 1987. Completely original with the original engine 930-66-S = 330 HP. I needs a complete engine overhaul now and I would like to boost up the HP on it at the same time. BRUTAL EL REPORTAJE, EL MIO ERA UN CARRERA 1985, TRANMICION G50 Y COMO SE MOVIA
Nice porch to sit out on on a summers night. OR maybe they are Porsche!? Please say the company name right
If the stock 930 was called the widowmaker then this thing is a kamakazi plane...
Bad Boys Bad Boys watcha gonna do
Owner is mad cool
The turbo engine is much tougher/stronger than standard flat 6
Sistine Chapel-level beautiful cars.
Clutch mod though..
This is like casting couch but for cars.
Adam and Frank! you add 204hp and 707hp you add both of them and you get 911hp.
That's awsome
Now that’s something you don’t see everyday
Porsche is a 2 syllable word guy...

John K Lindgren Cool story douchebag
John K Lindgren The British use miles
*Blackbird*
roll racing is gaining big time. Can't wait for all the dig lovers hate.
He bought the burgundy one for $5,000!!
That car with the mods now can easily be $150,000 now…
Wow beautiful cars !
FLAT 6 POWAAAA!!!
What motor oil did you use for the porsche?
didnt see a roll cage. Thought the rules for dragracing was anything faster them 10 seconds had to have a roll bar?
2 beautiful machines, myself I don't feel they are drag racers but since they are 'hacked' I wont bash the owners
So on a track like Road Atlanta... how long before it over heats?

Anymore footage from this event coming?
Yep!
That Racing Channel I was just wondering if you were thinking of building a 930?
THIS is what it looks like when a man falls in love.
“Absolutely man, absolutely” .. Absolutely I need a personality class. ABSOLUTELY.
Hellcat 911? Just kiddin
I got it too :)
That would be awesome. I like the idea.
Bazooka Joe Not sure it'll fit lol
Redbone Nicole ...that would be the 911 GT2 RS
Nevermind That lol yeah if I'm not watching jordee's make-up videos or on essi's channel I'm watching car stuff & yeah true 😂
what about the Yoshida specials 930?
Admiral RNG they won’t be able to get no content of it unless they travel to Japan
Good old days!
Black Bird gang from wangan goes to america
Sorry for bad english
He said mid 600 hp range on the purple one! Not 707
Triple gloss black everywhere in and out except gold turbo badge and gold bbs alloys
It clearly eats clutches but now how does he keep this thing from not over heating is what I want to know.
It overheats badly and he cannot hot lap it.
Bazooka Joe if he can’t do a hot lap then something is wrong with his oil cooling system.
Hugo Boss : after market oil coolers
What's the song on the background...
Nice
Who put on the Lloyd lol
5k...my god..... built the engine himself....my god.
Sweet
Did he say powdered rods. ? Those are the worst type of rods. You want forged. Not compression cast from powdered metal.
😍
