they also have a tool for a drill to put down the distributor hole and pump oil around with out starting engine or if you have old distributor you can take it apart and use the rod
When you replaced the lifters, what was the process? I understand removing rocker arm and pushrod, but how is lifter removed and replaced. Have to pull the oil pan?
Hi from ken moxon i have just replaced the head gasket on my jeep 4.2 l engine head was cleaned and no problems found but now when i nput the rockers back in place there seems to no clearance from the valve stem will the lifters sort this out or i have removed them got the oil out
The rockers are in constant contact with the valve stems. The hydraulic lifters are in constant contact with the push rods. When putting your rockers back on, be sure you torque them to spec. Just curious, you said you had a 4.2? Do you have a stroker motor with a different crank, or is it just bored over?
Yes my car not sending oil to the rockers , I done know what to do right now, that's y am washing this video but am not seeing oil in the rockers too. Can someone please help me out.
J. Dominic Pitre no Im having the same issue it comes and goes but it will idle high when the engine is warm and it will go away with rpm or just get faster I’m not sure what It is I’m thinking my rockers are lose or valves are out of clearance
Caleb smith. Cherokee sport 2000 model not sending oil to the rockers arms done know why. I just change the oil pump. And stay no oil coming up to the rockers arms.
Brendon, this is not what the oiling should look like. When I replaced the lifters it shot oil everywhere.

they do make a tool to get lifters out, dont known if its a universal tool seen them but never used one
You have to pull the head and use a magnet. After replacing them it oiled just fine
hello friend the same thing happens to me with my jeep cherokee xj 98 what can i do
You have to replace the lifters, which means removing the head.
looks like you have no oil pressure
is that the normal amount of oil that should be pumped up the pushrods?
That engine should be bukaki’ing oil from the push rods all over the place.
what is the torque measurements?

The rockers should be so full of oil that it runs down the valve springs.

I changed the oil pump and it continues like this
Low oil pressure?
Looks like cam and or lifter problems.
The hydraulic lifters were failing. I replaced them, and oil flies everywhere. So much oil that I didn't want to film it. Too big of a mess.

Is that real chattery clickety sound just your injectors?
