The Type 26 was well built and reliable. It was an obsolete design by WW2 standards, but it worked.

I don't know if this constitutes "double action" sine there is no hammer to lock back manually, but I often hear people talk about double action being superior for revolvers and it's really not. It's more of a bonus for rapid firing at extremely close range versus being a reliable way to accurately fire the revolver.

Japanese weapons were used long after the war in other Wars because Japanese designer design them well the ammunition for their semi-automatic pistol was a design they bought from America the casings were machined it wasn't a good design

I think the reason this is getting recommended to everyone all of a sudden is the amount of ignorance from all parties involved here. Anyways I shall be continuing that tradition because I hate myself. But yes, as a service pistol it's not going to win any wars, because it was purposefully not designed for that. Single action was not necessary because in the earlier wars this would only be used as a last ditch. This specific piece is defective because it was poorly kept. The design was abandoned because semi-auto pistols became the norm. By definition this model did what it needed to do quite well. So, for everyone, please do their research and don't get all petty and obsessive in defending their pride.
