This video is perfect for someone who is newer to the game. The pace, taking time to explain each card, actually highlighting them on screen, and most why youre using certain cards in a lter turn as opposed to right away. Definitely subscribing in hopes of more content like this.
Thanks for the kind comment! We try to make everything as accessible and beginner friendly as possible. We'll definitely be releasing more of these more competitive decks in the upcoming weeks in preparation for the Set Championships, so keep an eye out. And let us know if there are any decks specifically you'd like to see
Thank you for your videos. I got destroyed yesterday 0-5 at my dirt Set Championship but this video has explained so much, I think I will do better in my second in 2 weeks.
Game 2 the hyper aggro player should've inked literally anything but the fox on that turn 3 (22:04). Without knowing what's in steelsong's hand, you know for a fact that ursula HAS to do something next turn or else you run away with the game. It has to sing something or challenge something to SET UP a decent turn 4 for steelsong. Knowing this and the fact that the only characters that will exert next turn from steel song being 1/4's, the fox is such a great answer. The turn could've literally been: Ink anything but fox -> play baloo -> Quest with both daisy's This is a great turn from you because you know for a fact that at the VERY LEAST 1 daisy lives. Why does 1 daisy stay alive guranteed? BC without even knowing the steelsongs hand, there is literally no possible cards that would be able to deal with both daisy ducks with the current board state. So you go into turn 4 expecting 1 daisy to live guaranteed, and if both make it (either due to misplay or no songs). Ur just thinking "Fuck yeah baby." But one here does die. So this is how the turn SHOULD"VE played out: Quest with the 1 daisy that you know woud live -> use fox to bounce daisy -> take out the ursula (it has to be exerted bc if they don't use it, they just straight up lose) -> ink anything -> play 1 drop daisy back again This would set up steelsongs turn 4 as only Daisy and Ariel which is WAY WORSE. I know its nitpicky but it literally costed you the game because of this crucial turn. The tempo swing from that would've netted you was worth more, especially because now would've had to deal with daisy AND the fox. And fox takes out literally anything they exert the next turn. And IF they take out fox next turn (with storm or strength of rage), then that means ur daisy is still alive. Its a win win for you
Huge fan of the channel just wanted to correct this because I want people to see how crucial each turn in this game is. One turn can and will in fact cost you many games. Think hard and play your best!
Hey hey! Thanks for the very detailed comment and for the kind words in the second comment as well. These are great tips indeed and something to keep in mind for the future. When re-watching the game, there were so many different things Hyper Aggro could have done. Specially at the end of the second game. If I had simply just played all of my cost 1 characters at that stage, I would have won the game, because Charlie wouldn’t have been able to deal with them all in one turn. However we never know what he would have had in hand. I was expecting a “Grab your sword”, so I didn’t take the risk. But that was my biggest mistake. 😅
Thank yoooou! Glad that you liked it! ^^ Steelsong is a very fun deck indeed, but also one of the more complex ones to run, in my opinion. But when you do it right, it is a very strong deck! 💪🏻
I never noticed but it's interesting you have ink tokens to represent your inkwell and that those ink tokens are the card sleeves from Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliance.
@@InkbornHeroes makes sense. Also man I’m gonna miss Sorcerer’s arena since the app shut down meaning it’s not too likely they’ll keep up the physical game.
I really should be working but this is better haha! Still a massive believer of Pinocchio and that it should still be played as a 4 of in every hyper aggro deck
Have you guys tried lemon lime aggro? Similar to the hyper aggro but with more punish from the green questers forcing discard with merfolk and Flynn…and kit cloudkicker for control plus a body.
Just a random question, how comes you guys use different sleeves for ink instead of the cards them selves ? Is this to keep track of them as they are in the grave incase you can bring one back or is it for something else ?
It’s a great question with a boring answer - they just show up better on camera 😅 It is legal to use ink tokens when playing, but outside of recording we don’t generally do it because it’s one less thing to manage.
@@InkbornHeroes didn't finish where I was hoping. I ended up 3-2-4 w/ 33 pts. What I played Saturday didn't perform as good as I hoped so I made some adjustments for Sunday side events, and I was more pleased with it.
@@AlienAndy_22 Honestly, that's a great achievement. 33 is a really good score, enough to pass the next threshold of tickets and probably in the top 40% of players?

Oh no, sorry to hear it didn’t go well at your Set Champs 😭 As long as you had fun and learned from playing. Hopefully the next one goes better 🤞🏼

We haven't, but maybe we can give it a whirl in a video in future
Omg those card sleeves are gorgeous!!! Where to buy from ???
They’re from a game called Disney Sorcerer’s Arena. We found them on eBay, but they are often sold out nowadays!
Where can I purchase those sleeves that you were using for your ink?

Madame Mim Fox in the last turn and take out Daisy would give aggro another turn!
You gave up to early! 😅
Sometimes you just have to take the L 😅
Let's go Steelsong!
I'm definitely loving how strong it's become again
@InkbornHeroes same, and it's nice that the deck has a good variety of play options. It's what I'm going to be running in Vegas Saturday.
@@AlienAndy_22 Can't wait to hear how you perform! I think Steelsong is bringing it home this weekend

Where can I buy the Disney sorcerer’s arena sleeves
It is sold out in most places, but we were used to get it from Ebay, or 401 Games.
Aggro 😅
Let's go!
