- To highlight Mental Health week; BBC Radio 6 Music's Chris Hawkins invited composer and multi-instrumentalist Erland Cooper to write a piece of music that highlights how music and sound can help our mental health. He invited his 6 Music listeners to send in recordings of sounds they have noticed whilst staying at home in lockdown. Erland received hundreds of recordings to include in this beautiful, calming piece of music. The finished track also features Paul Weller, Galya Bisengalieva (solo violin), Robert Ames (solo viola) and Florence Nightingale. In this short film Erland talks us through how he brought all these components together to create A Nightingale Sings Outside Our Window.
Oh my god. Has anyone else had their whole world transformed by this mans work? Wow
