I rescuee my soundock after 13 years of being crashed, I bought a 30pin adapter to lightning ... all good except that the right speaker did not works, I did not listen the music, just interference like the old AM radios ... I opened the dock as you show here, connect and disconnect the cable and now it works perfect. Thanks for your video!

I converted my SoundDock with a Bluetooth adapter (where an iPod connects) a few years ago to use remotely with my iPhone. It gave it a new lease of life but eventually that pesky edge connector came adrift. Managed to fit it back in with just the bottom plate removed but it eventually came out again and this time I couldn't see enough ribbon to play with.
Your video solved all my problems. A quick fix when you know how, so thank you very much indeed!

My Bose Dock Staion was not working for my IPod Nano Generation 4. I was getting a clicking sound. I finally decided to go on UA-cam to se if I could fix the problem and watched this video and was easy as baking a cake. I know nothing about electronics what so ever and this video taught me how to get my Bose Dock Station working perfect fine again. Yay!!!! I'm a woman and no thing about this sort of thing and this video helped out a great deal. It's up and running like brand new. Thank you helping people like me with this video and I'm actually proud of myself that I was able to get my dock station fixed. Is a very expensive item including my iPod.

I have this same Sounddock and when I plug iPod in it charges but there is no sound when it plays (iPod works). BUT ALSO, neither the remote control nor the volume buttons on the dock itself work! After going through this video I reseated the cable like you showed (it was a little loose) but still having the same problems. Is there a cable that goes to the remote sensor or the buttons to check?

I realize this is a very old video, but this sure does give me direction to start troubleshooting my old Sounddock. I have been using a bluetooh adapter since April. The dock just suddenly stopped working. It won't play my old iPod either. I was wondering if it could be a loose cable. I will HAVE to try this before I go any further with repairs. Thank you for a great video!

Just as Edwin Poh, my Sounddock has stopped playing music. It does charge my ipod, but it doesn't play any sound at all. I haven't tried connecting the original sounddock connector cause I cannot find it or I don't even remember if Im keeping it any longer. Hope the Invebo guys can read this post and help me with some tips. Also I followed every step of this video, but nothing happened.

A classic fault - you need to see video entitled: 'SoundDock Original TYPE A dock & Sound Processor Diagnostics' on the Invebo website. The cause and the resolution for power with no sound on a Type A dock is explained.

This is a common problem. You have a problem on the docking board or the ribbon cable. Possibly some liquid has got in there at at some stage. You need a new docking board or upgrade.

My Sounddock 1 sounds great when an iPod plugged in but as soon as I use a Bluetooth transmitter, which I use with a power adapter, I get a swooshing interference. Enough to stop me using the dock. I have reseated the ribbon a couple of times in case that was an issue but have the same problems. Any thoughts or advice most welcome. Thank you

There was no sound from the right side speaker on my dock, thought maybe the connector is loose. Following this video, tried to connect the ribbon cable from the amplifier to the sound processor but the connector pin has become loose and won't stay connected firmly. Also looks like few pins are damaged on this ribbon. Where can I find this ribbon cable?
