Thank you so much! I use my Bose everyday and suddenly the sound went off? I was in the process of buying another one when I came upon your video. The sound ribbon had come out of the connector!!! You just saved me a pile of money. Thanks again.
Great videos, very helpful follow up post... my dock experienced the same issue :-)
Not only are these videos brilliant, having phoned the company for support a couple of times, the gentlemen there are unbelievably helpful, patient and lovely. Much appreciated!!
Thank you! I bought a used unit that was not outputting sound. The ribbon cable was merely loose. I have a functional unit now! Thank you!!!
This is absolutely lovely of you to share. We had ours jolted in a teen's room, with noises and a frequent buzzing ensuing. It was just a loose sound board connector, and thanks to these instructions it's now back to 100%. And clean to boot :-) Thanks!
Thank you so much!!! I had water spilt on my Bose- I took the machine apart quickly to let all the wet pieces dry. I was unsure how to reconnect all the pieces. When I did it on my own the speak was not working. I did realize there was a locking connector for the wire ribbon for the speakers. It's in total working order now! Whew! Thank you thank you thank you!
Do you still have it :) ?
Thanks very much for taking the time to make this video. My bose sound was goosed after water ingress. After watching your video I stripped mine and cleaned the contacts etc and it is now playing as good as new. Thanks again. Also I have bookmarked your webpage in case I can't fix it in future. Thanks.

Hi there, I would like to check if I can convert my soundock 2 to battery power to make it portable. If yes please advise how? Many thanks in advance.
Thanks so much for posting these videos! My Series 1 dock is charging my i pod but does not operate using the remote. I actually ordered a new remote to eliminate it from the equation which still did not fix the problem. I checked the ribbon connections and still no luck. I would like to send my boards in for you to inspect them or replace if possible. What kind of price are we looking at for board replacement? Just wondering if this was worth the trouble. I know the original price was around $350 for this dock. Thanks again! look forward to hearing from you.

Hi I have a bose series 2 and a glass of wine spilled on the volumn buttons two days ago now the sound is permantly set on high, I can not decrease it. The light behind the speaker is also staying on and remote also does not work. Can you help, what do u think I should do?
It is most likely the docking board and ribbon but you cant be sure until you strip it down and have a look. Send the 3 parts to invebo using the 'free diagnostic check' service. They will inspect and offer repair for any parts that require it for a fixed price as displayed on the website.
