I love them both because you won't feel greasy after applied. If you have heater at home in the winter, use the Cream one, very moist and your skin will feel soft all day.

I use Vaseline all over right after a shower, especially the heels of my feet, elbows & knees. Just a little goes a long way. Rub it in your hands to thin it out & apply to freshly dried/damp skin. I’ve never gotten cracked heals again! Plus I get compliments in the summer how pretty my feet look😉 Don’t forget to first slough off old dead skin. Maintenance is easy after that.
The Cerave cream does not leave a greasy residue or provide shine. So even though it might be heavier, it’s not like a traditionally heavy product. It might actually be easier to rub in on damp skin than the very watery almost gel like lotion. I’m guess I’ve misunderstanding what is damp skin. The slightest hint of visible water droplets makes it take a very long time to rub in the lotion. I stopped doing it on damp skin because it became counter productive. I just dry off throughly and then apply lotion immediately afterwards.
You gotta rub it evenly with those watery skin, and wait for 1-2 minutes to absorb to dry out, I think worth the wait
I have the CereVe lotion and the CereVe cream. For my dry skin i use the CeraVe cream. And my son uses the CeraVe lotion. Both very good products ❤

@@hooriya632 it doesn’t clogged pores but for a skin with acne i think the lotion is better. That is a little bit lighter than the cream. I use the cream because i use a retinol serum in the evening so the lotio will be to light for me. If you go to a dermotoligist maybe they have a sample from the CeraVe lotion ore maybe the pharmacy? There are two lotions one is a small tube and it’s the pm lotion and the bottle witch are in differtent size’s. My son uses the one from the bottle
Lotion is good for body and cream good for your face! I used cerave serum and Cerave skin renewing cream I’ve been using this for almost a month when I wake up in the morning my face is clear and smooth and fresh. I feel like a baby again

@@Angel-ue5vc not for me :) at least not with the CeraVe lotion. Aloe vera is also a great moisturizer for the summer months.

There is absolutely no competition, the Cream wins. The Cerave Cream wins against the Cerave lotion, and other Moisturizing creams like Aveeno or Cetaphil or Vanicream. Sorry!

I’ll use the lotion mostly for my hands after washing something or even my face if that day I didn’t have to leave my house so I just lotion up rather than sunscreen up

Then you have oily skin or maybe combo skin because you should not sweat if your skin is dry
I bought the Cerave lotion & cream after watching so many videos from many skin fluencer saying it’s the holy grail. I have never tried anything so bad ever. It never dries, it stays like a greasy filter on my face all day. I’ve tried to use it on damp skin, dry skin, a pea size amount I’ve tried everything and it’s just horrible. I can’t find 1 bad review on it anywhere and I can’t understand why cuz I have honestly never tried anything this bad

I use the Cerave itch relief cream in the winter. Rest of the time I use the regular.
My cerave was just petroleum jelly marketed as a moisturizer, leaved you greasy, read the ingredients, don't put industrial sludge into your skin, try some coconut oil
Lotion is better for Spring/Summer and for the Day. Creams are better for Autumn/Winter and for the Night.

I have severe chicken skin (KP skin), and I use cream all over my body on my wet to damp skin, right after the shower. I do not dry water with a towel. I also use Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide on most of my body during shower.
Until I figured this routine, nothing helped me. I still have KP issues, but not as bad as before. This has helped my skin and my psychi so much.
I’m 62 and use the tub cream on my face, neck, and body. I love it.

I have both of these and I love the cream better because it's thicker ! Both absorb immediately in my skin !!! Face,neck,elbows,legs everywhere instantly absorbs quickly and my hands are so dry but my whole body is so soft and it's absorbed the same on both I love love love both of these and I have super sensitive skin and these don't bother me at all chef's kiss 💋😘

I love the CeraVe face washes and the purple retinol but the moisturizers have pore clogging ingredients in them that break me out.
No they dont. Just because you broke out doesn’t mean it has pore clogging ingredients. Its non-comedogenic

And yes if you look up the ingredients then you'll find that the moisturizers and the blue container of retinol contain pore clogging ingredients in them. Please do your research before jumping into the comments saying incorrect information.

@@mojit27 Ceteareth-20 is the main pore clogging ingredient that's in both the lotion and moisturizing cream. Alot of people who are acne prone actually can't use the cerave moisturizers just because of this specific ingredient. There's many websites like clearstem where you can look up any skincare product to check for pore clogging ingredients.

..i use Cerave face wash for Oily skin, followed by Olay Cleanse Toner (smells amazing & leaves one refeeshed) ;) & Cerave Ultra Light Moisturzing Lotion w/ spf 30 (Matte Finish).. i yet have to try Cerave Retinol Resurfacing Serum & Daily Moist. Lotion too!.. i picked up Cerave HA Serum but dr. gave it 5/10, so i'll skip it Lol.. thx, for your reviews Dr. Sugai!!
Cerave gave me hives like reaction on my face .I tried it many times.May be I am an exception.i have extremely sensitive skin prone to redness if irritated 😢 and have post acne redness too.

ugh - we can guess why the guys love the lightweight, moisturizing lotion..... I think I've had ONE Cerave product. Not sure if it's done anything. In any case - Vaseline has been tried and true for black folk and I've started to go back to that.
It has HA which will eventually dehydrate your skin

I am new to ceravee moisturizing lotion and mine smell like glue/expired milk, not very strong. Only when i put my nose close to it. Is that normal or my product is bad?

What about cetaphil? I have a special place on my heart for cetaphil bc as a teen allergic and skin sensitive amd eczema prone I was first doctor recommend it. Today I use cervae, and love.. is it bc of the cermides?

This is extremely misleading. I just learned that companies pay doctors to promote their products. This doc continuously promotes cerave products without disclosing that he’s getting kickbacks. Absolutely unethical.

I have a pressing question. I went once to a dermatologist and she told me that hyaluronic acid increases ance(which I have) so is that true? Because I haven't heard it from anyone else
I find anytime I use a cream with it I break out
Some skincare folks aren't fans but the other thing about HA is that it has different forms and weights and that can affect how people react to it. It's why some skincare folks prefer humectants like glycerin or beta glucan. At least one derm prefers HA fillers to topical products.

I have both. The thinner lotion goes on right after my morning shower- quick application is necessary so i can get it on amd get out the door and go to work. I have the cream tub (with pump) on my bedside table and apply to my excessively dry areas before bed. Mostly my hands and cuticles but occasionally my elbows and knees especially in winter
