Hello bob, I recently converted a tub to shower.i used your method.the tub that was there dind not have a lip and it was the reason of the leak.( the tub had a jet motor. It is supposed to have a rubber gasket.and when a contractor remodeled it they tile on the tub with no rubber gasket.
