Just found you Angie and so far you've been a massive help. I'm a guy who, now that I'm 50, have discovered that a little foundation goes a long way to making me feel better about my skin and how I look. Having spent 50 years never wearing a lick of makeup I have a) no idea what I'm doing and b) no idea what to expect. I've been disappointed with some of the results but your closeups, the all day wear test, the indoor/outdoor/flash test and the tutorials on application have really helped me to set realistic expectations and been incredibly useful. @@lovekills3506 yes. In my opinion, even if you had those you still do your age , and your not assuming it. Assuming is appealing. So i choose To not go there lol. Wrinkles are not ugly. Aging is a privilege. Lots of time botox and fillers can make you difformed and you loose your natural beauty. It happened To many of my gf's🤷♀️

I have tried almost everything, within my price range, that you have reviewed. I found Missha Perfect Cover BB cream. It is the most beautiful foundation I have tried on my 55 year old face. Used with Mac Prime and Set Spray, I have never been so happy with the way my complexion looks at this age. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your research on skin care and cosmetics. I honestly don't think I would have ever felt better about aging if I hadn't accidentally found you. I'm extremely grateful.
I want to try that BB cream but so many reviews saying it looks grayish for the #23 have put me off. I'm kind of a light neutral tone, does it look grayish on you and then turn?
@@ltejle it has a grey tone to it when you pump it out, but it isn't grey on my skin when I blend it in. I also use No. 23.
So I also purchased the Rare beauty foundation, the same blush, a mini primer and a matlip mouse. I LOVE this foundation!! I can't get over how smooth it makes my 70 year old skin look. I also loved the primer and just ordered the full size. have used the foundation without primer. Have applied the foundation with my fingers and a brush. I actually like using my fingers with this one. That blush is off the charts amazing. You're so right that you barely have to use any to get great color payoff. love blush and this one is on the top of my list. I also just ordered the concealer. We'll see how I like that. At my age not having anything settle in my creases is a tough bet. But This foundation is so beautiful. I just have to tap over my laugh lines and under eyes to get rid of any settling. All in all Selena and Rare Beauty is fabulous. And your skin looked fabulous wearing this. I also LOVE Natasha's Glam palette. I wear it almost every day.
This was interesting. I haven’t seen anyone in the 50+ demographic that has given in a positive review - some flat out hated it! I’m also 58 and other than tone (I’m much fairer and cool toned), our skin is VERY similar (pores, texture, oily T zone, etc). Sometimes you don’t need a foundation to last for 10 hours, especially given most of us aren’t out a lot these days, so this might be a good option when you want something a little lighter. Might give it a shot! xx
I'm 53 and love this foundation. I get ready for the day at 4:30 am and this lasts me . I'm glad Angie didn't hate it.
I'm mid 40's with very fair pink/cool toned dry skin. My skin loves this foundation and concealer! They blend seamlessly, it lasts all day on me, and very little rubs off on the inside of my face mask. I highly recommend trying it out to see how it works with your skin since there are differing results with lots of people. I have the primer mini, too, but aside from adding a pretty glow I don't think it really does anything for the actual wear time or appearance.

Thanks for your unbiased review. I like how you stick to the science. I find that some people go out of their way to like a product or even dislike a product for whatever reason. You just stick to a set criteria. If the foundation meets those guidelines, it is a winner.

I just tried this today. Was all excited ro get it in my boxycharm box. I'm 46 and my fav foundation is lancome tient idole 24 hr. Well this was a huge disappointment...it was drying settles in all of my under eye lines...in the dry patches...showed brush makes...emphasized my pores...I really wanted to like it..I passed it on. I'm still glad I got to try it
I think it looks pretty even with the settling. Overall, it looks super pretty! I dont prefer foundations that settle into wrinkles but I can’t get over how pretty it looks.

I did purchase this foundation and I am loving it! This is the only foundation that I have found a great match for me, usually I can’t find an eve close match in most foundations. I still want to try the It Cosmetics foundation but I really like the price point on the Rare Beauty foundation.. So I was using hide n sheik foundation and then the fall weather hit and it wasn’t looking good anymore. So I just got the Rare beauty foundation and the blush and it’s WONDERFUL!!

Oh that is amazing... I initially thought it was cutesy packaging, but this really changes that! I used to have bad arthritis and not being able to open simple things would drive me crazy.

I really loved this foundation as well! My only problem is the colorways. They are so yellow. Like you, I went for a "C" shade, 200. But I found it to be peach. Such a shame, it really leaves a nice finish, covers well, feels good on the skin. My local Sephora allows swatching now, so I tried the 210N last night and whoa...it was yellow.
If foundation later 10hours looking like that, it's a 👍👍 for me. Most last 5-7 hours on my 50yr combination skin. Thank you for review 😊
Nice foundation on you. I don't really see any wrinkles on you to begin with. It looks smooth, moisturizing and blendable. I am amazed by the large shade choices. The blush is really pretty too. Thank you for reviewing this.
edit: amending that the packaging aids with arthritic hands, but it doesn't change or cancel out what they're doing for mental health and what they stand for in beauty ❣️ I see very few brands, especially big ones with as much reach as hers has, do something so good for people through their business & influence ❤️ even without the intent of producing easy-open packaging, I do think the mental health project weighs high and still is enough to have me supporting the brand!
What the brand stands for and is doing for mental health with their fund and 10 year plan sold me on them, moreso now that it looks PHENOMENAL on you! 🤩 I agree that your skin looked its smoothest today under natural light! it works for you which convinces me more that this brand is the absolute best! 😍 Thank you for confirming it, Angie ❤️

Thanks for the review!! I am 50 and have been using it since it launched. I did go back last weekend and picked up a lighter color (I picked online the first time). This time I have the 210N and it is a much better match. I am pretty happy with it. I wear a mask on and off while at work, so it does transfer to the mask somewhat but it isn't very noticeable on my face, just the mask. I am happy to see a 50+ review of it!

Very nice. Not something I would have tried but seems worth a try. My skin is very different from Angie’s, and I do not put as much on my skin so I rarely have settling as she does.

Have you tried the Maskcara foundation? It doesn’t settle in lines or accentuate pores. It totally moves with your face. It’s the best I have ever tried and is great for my mature skin!!!

I will have to try this one. I got similar results with the Pur Lisse BB cream. Works great no primer. Med to light coverage and doesn’t wear off my nose. But your skin looked great with it so you sold me

I agree with you ! Love the Estee Lauder and the It cosmetics. Haven’t tried the Rare beauty and won’t for a while as I have to finish the others first and I don’t wear foundation as often because of wearing a mask. I also find it very hard to find a shade these days without being able to test the colors. Took me 4 tries on the it cosmetics and I feel horrible returning them.

I really wanted to love this foundation but it didn’t work on my light, cool undertone skin. It is too yellowish and not cool enough for my skin. On my skin, it became quite patchy within 4 hours. I tried it with & without primers so it was a fail for me. I absolutely loved the blushes and bought two of them. I really liked this review because of all the lighting options you used and different products you tried with the foundation. Thank you.

Thanks for this video. Seems like I have seen more negative review than positive on the foundation, so I gave it a try. I love it.. I do set it w/a light powder after using the foundation, concealer & liquid blush. I am enjoying the light natural feel. I’m 59 w/menopausal skin, oily T, drier other areas & visible poor.

Having two sessions of fraxel laser will make your skin look good no matter the foundation, with very few exceptions! I’m interested in fraxel now. 😊

So glad I found your channel. Most I watch have oily skin and I’m either normal then a little oily in the T-Zone, not all the time to say combo or sometimes dry, not often . So my issue is always having a foundation that doesn’t stay on my nose or chin. Looking forward to trying the foundations that work for you. Thanks Angie! 💜
