You may have just single handedly sold me on this foundation! I've been curious about the whole line for a hot minute but honestly it just looked gorgeous on you. I've basically got straight up normal skin these days (neither oily or dry) and this looks like it might really work for me. Thank you so much for the actual wear test and the effort you put in. I'm definitely adding this to my list of foundations to try once I eventually work through the ones I already own - I think it should be fine with my combination skin, especially with a really hydrating moisturiser underneath. Sephora should be open in Canberra by then, so I should be able to get shade matched in store. I'm definitely interested in trying more from Rare Beauty - I've had a sample of the Illuminating Primer and I really liked it.

I have normal, aging skin, so I don't have to worry about it becoming shiny. This might be a good one to replace the Peach Perfect Foundation I loved until it was discontinued. I recently purchased the Nars soft matte on your recommendation and I was very impressed!!! Worked really well on my oily skin. Almost as good as E.L. Double wear. Looked amazing all day. ( I wore it from 6am to around 8pm.) I will think about trying this one. Get better soon sweet lady ❤

I had a very different experience with this one, but usually all the foundations you love work well for me! This one didn’t work well with my skin texture or oils, and I got so oily after only 6 hours on a humid day. To be fair, this was last year and I had a mask on for HOURS, but I just didn’t like that it caked under the mask and also broke down on my super oily forehead.

Everything I’ve tried from where beauty has been fantastic! As soon as you put this foundation on, the first stab I thought the color was too dark for you. But nope… It matches your neck and chest perfectly. It is a beautiful finish, flawless without looking makeup-y.
The last thing I need is to go buy another foundation…but….. it looks beautiful on you❤️ and I like that it is a medium finish. Now that spring is here I’ve been using several of my tinted moisturizers.
When I choose to wear foundation I want everything covered. If I’m gonna do it… we’re doing it. This seemed to cover really well on your skin and it looks light and beautiful without any cakeyness.. you didn’t use that much either!

This foundation has been my holy grail since it originally launched. My skin is so oily. Everything oxidizes on me, and my nose literally eats makeup. I love how little product you have to use to get great coverage. It covers my rosecea like a dream. It feels so light on the face. Ahhh. I also love the illuminating primer. I really loathe primers with the silicone feel, never was a primer gal at all. Just a teeny bit of the RB illuminating primer is wonderful. Sometimes I will wear just the primer alone. Also, try the RB concealer. Gives great coverage without the cake feel. It is nice and creamy. Hope you feel better soon!

It holds up really well doesn’t it! I was quite surprised! Usually when a formula doesn’t claim to be shine controlling they just melt right off but this one didn’t😍😍

I think you sold me on this. I use BareMinerals complexion Rescue during the day, but I have been looking for a foundation to wear that’s natural for days and nights out for special occasions. I was going to get the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Filter or Nars Light reflecting. But this one looks so nice and natural on your skin. And I love lightweight. This one is definitely far more natural than the the CT and Nars ones. Its buildable though so you can definitely still work up the coverage for special occasions! It’s really nice🥰🥰

I wanted to love it but it broke up on my skin, settled in fine lines, broke down with oil.

Do you have an application method you recommend for Estee Lauder Double Wear? I just bought it as my skin has turned into a textured, oily, acne mess but I'm finding afte r a few hours of wear it isn't doing me any favours. It's just a bit unflattering and cakey for me.
Are you applying with a sponge or a brush babe? I prefer a sponge, I use our pro perfecting sponge, www.nikkiajoycosmetics.com.au/products/pro-perfecting-sponge, and pressing it into skin 🥰

Hi babe!!! Have a look at my top 5 foundation reviews, but most I go with is matte because I’m super oily, but charlotte tilbury airbrush is a less matte option than say double wear. Born this way matte is also a nice one too 🥰😘

Sephora AU & their foundation shade finder online is absolutely dreadful..I never get the right colour suggestion, it always tells me something way out including wrong tones - warm instead of cool or even neutral! It sucks!! I've literally lost hundreds & hundreds of dollars, just so much money on their bad matches:( and no store near me in WA for over 600kms. I plow through reviews & swatches yet I still have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. I'm crossing my fingers that I've guessed well on this one! I'll love you dearly if you can do more on the shades for your foundations + concealers reviews please?? I love your reviews, you're honest, trustworthy, reliable & nice n easy to listen to. I want to fake tan but I can’t get a tan that doesn’t look orange or patchy. Or a tan that doesn’t come off on my bed sheets 😭 Can you do a tanning tips and tricks video please 🙏🥹
I’ll note it down babe, but a quick tip is I always tan during the day when I’m at home to stop the sheets issue and I also use a nice velvet mitt to ensure smooth even application 🥰😘🥰
I’ve used this a few times and don’t like it. It shows my texture, especially on my cheeks. I have a normal to slightly dry skin so apply plenty of moisturiser beforehand but skin still looks dry when I use this 🙁

It’s definitely a glowy formula! Like I said this is not one to for if your main priority is oil control (go Estée Lauder double wear for that!) but if you’re looking for blurring/lightweight and natural looking it’s great xx
