Those early days of GW1 were pretty hairy for low-level flights!

Those pilots in the AR5 kit look like Star Wars TIE fighter pilots! Great interview as ever.

I sent a link to this to my cousin. He informs me Godders was a mate of his, they were on the same course at RAF Valley for a while.

The jet Provost... I hated them. I was an RAF Fireman in the early eighties, RAF Brawdy... flew Hawks and Hunters, both beautiful aircraft. We would often have visiting aircraft and it was almost always a treat to see them... ALMOST fcuking jet provosts, they were all mouth and no trousers. You hear this loud as fcuk plane taking off, you run to see what exotic beast is taking to the air and... it's this slow a fcuk, insanely loud piece of crap... god I hated them :)

His training knowledge etc is 30yrs out of date. Jet Provosts and Dominies went out of service years ago

Many recent and previous videos have been about a variety of different aircraft. I imagine there is a lot of tornado content because there are many people that served on them, often in the past, and the aircraft is now out of service. Which makes it easier as opposed maybe to finding someone to talk about say, the F35, even though they can’t really talk in as much depth, but I don’t know.

Pppffftt… it’s Mike’s channel, he can put on it whatever he likes! Besides, didn’t he once say the Tornado was his favourite aircraft? I like the Tornado too 🤤
