Okay why in hell this man isn´t playing in more movies ? He is an amazingly great actor, in historical movies he looks just stunning and omg I need more of him, please
Because he wastes his time in dross like Jericho. In the late 90's he was in a film called Mojo. Now the story struggled but the acting was good and Hans Matheson stands out as his character was complex. The other standout was Aiden Gillen. Well worth a look to see this cast together which also included Ian Hart and Ewan Bremner.
He he is sounds like u have a crush on him 😂. If u go on his website hansmatheson.co.uk there’s a page on there where fans can get in touch with him if they wanna discuss anything. Xx
Just watched Doctor Zhivago from 2002 today. Absolutely blown away by that man's performance. Had never heard about him before. I thought the movie, or its actually a two-part series was great. Surprised he hasn't been in more movies in recent years.
Damn, Hans made me like Alec in this version - and made me want Alec to be with Tess - Hans is that magnetic and adorable - even as a villain! Eddie Redmayne just didn't do it for me as Angel - Oliver Milburn's portrayal of the character is the best, as Hans' portrayal of Alec is the best.
tess of the d'urbervilles is the saddest period drama i''ve watched, i can't tell you how many times i've cried throughout the whole film...and the acting blew me away...Hans is a terrrific actor
He's the only actor that made me almost care that Alec could have turned over and become good. I almost cared about this character for a brief moment (you know, until the character gets what he wants). Hans is so talented.
He is such a good actor his eyes and hair are gorgeous ans when he speaks he is so classy in general it is hard to understand scottish peopole but i like listening to him
Love him as Alec. He should be in more quality pieces such as these rather than crapfests like that god-awful Clash of the Titans remake and *bleh* The Christmas Candle. I thought he was absolutely perfect in Tess of the D'Urbervilles, though. He brought something new to the character that hadn't been seen from the other actors who played the part, but he captured Alec's creepiness and manipulative ways so perfectly.
Hans and Gemma should costar together again - they have fabulous chemistry! When I heard that Gemma was cast as Cathy in an upcoming film adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" I was hoping that Hans would play Heathcliff, but Ed Westwick played the role instead. Ed is good but I think Hans would make a great Heathcliff.
If I didn't know the story beforehand, I would have thought that Tess and Alec were the couple to root for in this version. Hans gave Alec some vulnerability, therefore making the character more human, despite the harshness of some his actions - this is the only film of "Tess" where I felt that Alec really did love Tess. Hans has a great sense of humor too!
amazing actor.. i fell in love once i watched Dr. zhivago and i have been watching all his movies ever since. Can anyone tell how to find Dr.zhivago english version; i can't find it anywhere on youtube:s

Ugh, Jericho was such a bore. The characters felt weak and I just couldn't get into it. I'm glad Hans played Alec in this masterpiece, though :)
I would like to him more in movies

Hans Matheson is one of the most fascinating male actors of all time
He is great. Better than dreary Eddie
@@manbearpig7521😂 yes I agree, they could have cast that better.
Fell for Hans when I watched this movie, now I am watching whatever I can find.
Weirdo 😂
He has taken my breath away.
He is not only a great actor but also an intelligent person. 💫
ooohh when he said 'know this one thing Tess, I will have you' that look in his eyes! One of the most memorable lines and a fantastically tragic .
Hans, you are magnificent!!!
Love his voice.. So sweet..
Hans is literally such a beautiful man like one of my celeb crushes he is literally too underrated for how great he is acting and all!

Marni Stone He's gorgeous!!!😍😍😍😍
Hans Matheson es un actor tan bueno!, todos los personajes que hace son diferentes e inolvidables... ojalá que tenga muchos proyectos más!
thank you so much!

Hans eyes are so mesmerizing😊❤
Ikr ❤
Where is his scottish accent?
@TessDurbeyfield81
Yes and there's a moment in Clash of the Titans when he looks at her like Alec does!
He was born in Scotland.
I loved him in Clash of the Titans as Ixas :D
This is like the only classic book I've read that brings up rape.
"The Hunchback of Notre Dame" was another book that featured a rape scene (or attempted rape scene, anyway).
'Clarissa' brings it up as well. There is a BBC-series from 1991 with Sean Bean in it. Amazing series, it will definately bring you to tears.
Lolita is another one
IS A LOVELY ACTOR... I WANNA SEE HIM IN A MOVIE WITH A PRINCIPAL ROL!!!!
Watch Half Light
@jimDraconia Where can I find an interview with him speaking in a Scottish accent?
@JKJDINME Have u seen Dr Zhivago?
YOU'RE SOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL HANS!!!!!!!!!
I LUV U
Hans matheson is an amazing actor, very underrated, but here is miscasted. He was also miscasted in nero.
sabes donde puedo conseguir su pelicula de neron?
TheR9ch sim, Amazon Prime ♥️
I know, I think it's too soon as well - not that anything like that ever stops them, LOL.
Does he have a Scottish accent?
Hans Matheson was a knock out in Dr Zhivago and many other productions, kept too low a profile in my opinion
He doen t have a scottish accent
both actors chosen for alec and angel are perfect... I thought Gemma as Tess had the looks but lacked the emotion or the spirit
