I have so many more questions after watching this. What a great story. I wish him the best in his business. I'll try to find him and support him if I see his Food Truck in the city. Thank you.

I’m planning to have my own food truck in my small island hometown and this was the first video that came out when I searched for Japanese food trucks… I love everything about Japan and when I saw this video , I am so moved by his story. I’m in the healthcare profession and earning quite well, but earning a good income still doesn’t make you happy. I think doing what you love is what makes you happy, ganbatte to you sir ! I hope I get to visit Japan when my food truck will be a success and I’ll come and find you to say you’re my inspiration 🎉❤🎉

Thank you for putting up this nice video! His bento offers a lot of vegetables, perhaps that's why it's popular among the ladies. That sounds really healthy too! A visit to his food truck on my next visit to Tokyo is added to my list! 👍

I am sure that his menu is also a reason why Atsushi is so popular ;-)

I absolutely love that I randomly came across your video. The quality you put into the filming and editing for the relatively low view counts you get is absolutely criminal. Greetings from Thailand and I hope to see you continue making these amazingly edited "day in the life" videos among your other projects.
Also a quick note; I didn't even notice what this video would be like until I saw the thumbnail. So I honestly think maybe a more direct "Day in the Life of a Food Truck Driver" or something like that might help the viral ability your video deserves.

How interesting! We took photos of the tiny food trucks around Tokyo when we last visited! And how fun it would be to visit his food truck but we need his locations...Interesting how they get their "spots" to park and sell at. Is it a contract for a certain amount of time? Does he alternate spots? And does he only need an OK from the building owners or does he also have to have a city/prefecture license? I also found it interesting he cooked the food in his own kitchen. I've often wondered if the street vendors home kitchens, here in Los Angeles, had to be OK'd by the Health department. This always seemed like a tough business but there is always a certain amount of independence when it is one's own business...one may come home tired from the hard work involved but it is a good tired, building something of your own. Good Luck to Atsushi Oshima!!

He rotates locations throughout the city. From what I have heard they need a license to sell food. It seemed like a tough business but in the end Atsushi seems happy and proud doing what he does.

Thanks! Uncertainty of what's going around due to pandemic is hampering me to take the plunge. That young lad is cool as he tries to speak English.👍

If I could somehow manage to stay in Japan long term, I’m thinking of opening up a food truck. I’m from the southwest so you know my cooking game is on point. I want to cook Mexican American fusion done in traditional style. I’ve heard that Mexican food is hard to find in Japan, and I’d assume an authentic US burger is just as hard. I can solve that. It’ll be an average of ¥2000 per meal, but each dish is average 1.5kg and about 1200cal. Real rib sticking southwest style Mexican food. I can do it all, you name it I can do it. If I can get some for a good price I’d like to try Kobe Crunchwraps.
