The weapons are very true on how its used , the heavier weapons are slow but you can feel the power of it and the katana is quick swift and light. The empire of Ghana, Mali or Ashanti would've been amazing to explore. But they wouldn't dare, because they do not care. They appropriated the samurai for sales and put a token black guy in it for easy diversity. Nothing about it is geniune or respectful.

@@lelongbashi I don’t get your point. Africa offers a big variety in geography. And the Mali empire could make for good variety with dessert in the north and forests and mountains in the south. With one of the biggest mountains being Mount Nimba. Also you have bigger cities with Gao and Timbuktu. Ethiopia would also work very well. You could make either a setting in ancient Aksum or in a more modern period, like when the Italians invaded before World War 2 or somewhere during the 17th or 18th century. Ethiopia would be especially interesting cause it was the only African land that was never colonised. And in terms of geography it is even better for a game with the Highlands, mountain ranges and beautiful waterfalls
The truth is that Africa just isn't historically significant or interesting enough to warrant an AAA game. They already did Egypt and ulness they do one about slave trading, I can't see it happening.

But the issue itself with Africa not warranting a AAA game is that we have almost no representation of African history. You don‘t really hear a lot about it, even though it can be quite interesting as well. You just have to start somewhere, that you can make more games, movies, etc in that setting

If it's a streaming service doing something like this, cancel your subscription and tell them why, etc. if it's a game, don't buy it and voice your opinion respectfully where possible. Let them know why you're not buying their product, etc.

When I always imagined an Assassin’s Creed game that takes place in Japan I was expecting that you’d play as a Ninja (Shinobi / Kunoichi) because I felt it made more sense since you are supposed to be stealthy. I didn’t think it would make sense to play as a Samurai since it’s Assassin’s Creed. I could imagine that maybe you’d have a mission where you could be disguised as Samurai to infiltrate somewhere but you are really a Ninja (Shinobi / Kunoichi).
The female(?) MC is a kunoichi, albeit a terrible one.

I understand that but I was mostly saying that you’d have your own custom character kinda like AC: Valhalla where you can customize M/F Eivor of different weapons and armor things like that but it’s a game where you play as a Ninja (Shinobi / Kunoichi).

Even in fiction, when you adapt real world culture you must respect it. I think the best example of adapting real world culture with a fictional spin on it was pixar's Coco.

There was a time where I would have been excited with an AC Japan game. Problem is that they didn’t listen to fan back then and took too long to do it. In the meantime we already got an amazing Japanese samurai game. ghost of Tsushima beat em to the punch. Now not only are they playing catchup but now deciding to go this route with the main character because of wanting representation. NEWS FLASH a game with a Japanese main character would also be representation.
They saw Ghost of Tsushima and didn't like how everyone kept saying Sucker Punch did what Ubisoft can't. Now they're going to prove them exactly right.

@jase276 I see what your saying but I don't feel like society is working together in a healthy way when we are all still stuck behind screens. We all have similar reasons why we are upset, we all one option available to fight this nonsense. It's definitely a start and I see your point i just think i just think we have a ways to go until the people are actually united in a way that threatens the entities funding DEI. Blackrock and WEF expect consumers to get upset. They want us to have a united common goal when it comes to video games or Disney it does not threaten them in the least but. There has got to be a financial incentive for large companies like Ubisoft and Disney. Some part of what's happening makes them financially incentivised to consistently gaslight and lose customers and sales. I just dont feel like we are winning or making much of a difference at all. The court system in the US is blatantly disregarding due process in front of the world to see and disregarding written law. I've never seen it this bad and I've never seen my fellow Americans easier to fool or as down and out as I see them right now. Things are bad. The working class is so divided and broke its only going to take one more "event" to break our financial system. My peers and people my age will focus on what they want us to and keep fighting eachother until we are Divided enough to conquer. The snowball rolling downhill is so heavy and so large there is no stopping it until it reaches the bottom. Ultimately if people wise up and a real leader emerges with real solutions we can prevent the worst of what's to come. Unless we collectively turn backs on our phones and our media it will still effectively brainwash and divide us.
