Nice presentation. But I am a little confused here. You said that the Italian brand (I guess it is Cartoni) would NOT give us the precise counter balance. But here we see that in this case (Sachtler) the most precise counter balance would have been somewhere between 2 and 3. We can not achieve that perfection here. But Cartoni provides continuous counterbalance feature. So how could Cartoni be inferior? Just trying to understand. Actually I am going to buy a fluid head in a couple of days, and still debating between Cartoni Focus 12 and Sachtler FSB 8.
Good advice. Cinelens and some zooms may weight an extra 2-3 kg.

I thought the same thing. Cartoni makes really solid tripods and have never let me down.
