  • This Alchemy Arktos 29 sustained some major damage in its past life. To get this bike back on the trails where it belongs, it needed some major surgery. The diagnosis: a cracked rear triangle and a mangled rear wheel. Dr. Carl came in clutch, replacing all the damaged components to get this Certified Pre-Owned ripper riding like new again.

    I'm not convinced homie 1 isn't just homie 2 in a hat.

To clarify - is there a process to go over the entire bike aswell? Here we just saw changing of obv broken components only. Wheel was assembled back together without even cleaning the hub. Is there a once over you guys do? (full bearing check, clean, brake oil check/rebleed, basic suspension check up/swapping the seals). Not to mention the detailing to get it to look like new.
I understand it might be a long video but maybe even just mentioning those steps would be good!

Yes, every CPO bike is cleaned, tuned and tested. TPC services each bike over 8 phases and a multi-point inspection to ensure every bike is ready to ride. In this video, we are highlighting some of the unique services for this bike. Check out our full Inside TPC playlist to see an array of services done on our bikes.

Very interesting to see your work flow, and how you go about assessing these bikes. Good video, thanks.
Also, I'm wondering if the workbench, with it's integrated peg board, is available commercially, or was it fabricated in house? Thanks.

Did the customer pull a fast one or did y’all know it was broke?

Typically, if damage is not reported to us prior to the bike being sent to TPC, our inspection team will denote any damage and amend our offer to the customer.

I received an offer from TPC on my 2019 Full Dura Ace Cannondale SuperSix (with about 150 miles on it) which was so low that I decided instead to give it away to a kid down the street who was in love with it. I figure I'll feel much better about giving it to an aspiring young rider than I will be getting ripped off by TPC.

That is a paltry amount of mileage on that bike. Kid is gonna double that by week 2.

Carbon fiber is cool, light and pretty……but, i’d rather sacrifice, looks, a little bit of weight and bragging rights and stay loyal to the trustworthy, aluminum and titanium frames. Nothing better than having full peace of mind as your blasting down the trail 😉
